Notification-Screen Structure

Hi all,
I want to have a simplified view for notification screen instead of the conventional one.How can i achieve that?
I did the customization through the following link in SPRO.
cross application componentsnotificationover view of notification type--screen structure for extended view or scree structure for simplified view.
But whenever i try to create a notification of the particular type its showing only extended view.Its not showing the simplified view?How can i get the simplified view?

Hi Thygarajan,
IQS21 is already defined simplified view.My requirement is to create a new simplified view for a notification type.
I tried the the second option that u have told.I have created a new notification type with only simplified view.
But at the time of creation of notification, system is giving a warning message
"Screen setting for notification type maintained, copy standard". and system will give a standard simplified view instead of the customized one.
Suggestions welcome.

Hi,
The "Tab Page Allocation" setting determines how many sub-screens can be added to the tab. It is therefore not possible to change this field for some tabs which are designed to be single screen only. Example - 10\TAB10 (items), 10\TAB11 (tasks).
Should be changeable on tabs that allow multiple subscreens. Exampel - 10\TAB02 (Additional data).

Notification screen fields

Hi All,
I want to create a 'Reference Document' custom screen with all following fields together:
1. Project No.
2. WBS Element
3. Sales Order
4. Production Order
5. Purchase Order
When any one field is entered, the respective details (like plant, material, etc) should automatically come.
As all these fields are not available in one notification type, how do I specifiy these things for development.

generally you get these data in Q1 notif type.
if you want new one with all detailes mentioned by you then you need to do the IMG settings.
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance and Service Processing->Overview of Notification Type.
here you need to create a new notif type and then add the
screen
1.Screen Areas in Notification Header
Screen type hdr H500 Header quality notification
ScrnType Object O500 Object for customer complaint / batch
2.Screen Structure for Extended View
3.Screen Structure for Simplified View
etc...

How do I see more than 6 hours on iOS7 notification screen calendar?

I used to rely heavily on the notification screen to look ahead at the next 12 hours in list view.
Having to scroll and only getting to see the next six hours is a huge step backwards.

I don't have that problem. Perhaps I touch the screen lower when I wipe down? I don't know for sure but there's got to be some difference in the way that we wipe down. you might wish to do some experimenting.

Text/email/call notification screen -- TMI!

Is there any way to modify or disable the notification screen that pops up on the wallpaper when a text, call, or email comes in? Too much information there for my kids to see when they want to use the phone for a game, etc.

I am not aware of any such option in settings however my post is more of a question - do you receive notification of received emails on the wallpaper when your iPhone is locked?
I only receive notification of missed calls and SMS and not emails (and I would like this)!

Making field in notification screen as mandatory

HI,
We have a notification screen where we have a
- button 'Reject' and
- a textbox 'Rejection reason' under the response section
We want to make the 'Rejection Reason' text box as mandatory.
Basically user should not be able to reject without giving a proper reason in the rejection field.
Please suggest how to achieve this.

How to change screen structure dynamically, i.e based on the input need to display details of corresponding structure.

I am not too sure what your question means .If you want to change fields dynamically then screen-variants are
a good way to do it.
If you want to change the entire structure itself for the same ROLE then you can try a viewswitch which combines several tab pages .
More details about this is available ib the PCUI cookbook.

An extract is given below -
To minimize the number of tabstrips, a so-called viewswitch is offered. This means that within one tab, multiple views are available and can be selected from a dropdown list in the toolbar. This viewswitch works in the same way as the tabs on a lower level. A viewswitch should be used for similar content, for example: Instead of using the three tabs Competitor Address, Competitor Products and Competitor Strategy, they can be combined to one viewswitch OPP_Competitor with the fields address, products, and strategy in the dropdown list box in the toolbar. The dropdown list box only appears if the viewswitch tab is active. To build a viewswitch, several tabs have to be combined to a viewswitch group.

I have tried to limit calendar to only one item on notifications screen (ios 8), and even to turn it off, no joy.

The Calendar seems to show on the notifications screen, with room for 3 entries, regardless of settings. Any way to limit it to one, or get it off the notifications screen?

You're talking about two different things: notifications and widgets. The lock screen will only show notifications that you've enabled to show there. When you open notification center, there are two views: "Today" and "Notifications." Today shows widgets. That is where you see the calendar with room for events. It is basically a preview of your upcoming calendar. Under notifications is where you will get notifications if upcoming appointments that have reminders. The settings for each screen are different.
To control your calendar notifications, go to settings--notifications--calendar.
To control the widget, pull down notification center and select edit.
You can turn off the widget but still receive notifications in notification center and on your lock screen or vice versa.

Advanced Search Help in PCUI & adding fields to SRES screen structures

I have linked the application COMM_IBASE to the POST_CODE1 field in CRMM_ACCOUNT (SRES area - field group ACC_SRES_CITY). When the user clicks the drop-down icon next to the post code field, a new window opens which shows COMM_IBASE.
We use our IBase to hold locations/addresses.
Is it possible to set up the system such that on selection of an IBase component, relevant address fields of that component are sent back to corresponding fields in the calling application, CRMM_ACCOUNT? Namely, Post code, street, city, country, region? I think my problem might be that these fields are not available in the screen structure of the COMM_IBASE Search Results area (CRMT_BSP_IBASE_RESLIST). How should you go about extending this structure? I can't see how it can be done using the EEW in the way you would extend, say, a service order.
I have the cookbook in front of me, but am finding sections 6.1.3.2/3 a little reticent here.

I solved it.
It wasn't too complicated, either, so I suspect my difficulty was down to me being totally unfamiliar with the PCUI (I usually do ICWC development) and this being the first PCUI requirement I have ever been given to work on.
Anyhow, if any other newbies are interested in how I implemented advanced F4 help to integrate searching of an IBase of addresses with postcode field of BP creation, then please reply to this post and I will give details.

How can I change the screen time out when using the notification screen in zoom on the IPhone?

To clarify, when I am using Zoom and using three fingers to move around on the notification screen. The screen goes blank even if I am actively moving my fingers across the screen to read the screen. Why does the notification screen not recognize active movement and go blank after a peiord of time. I have very limited sight and rely heavly on SIri, text speak, and Zoom.

smileys are a sequence of chars like ;-¶ which the internet site or program like a chat program replace with an image typically a small gif image
is your problem that you want to save those images to your harddisk?
is your problem that you wish some other program then facebook to replace the smiley chars with the images that facebook use?
is your problem that when you type on facebook your smileys are not replaced with the same images as others (in which case you should prob as which signs they type)

The iPhone 4S does not allow AirDrop.
If you had a newer iPhone, AirDrop would appear in Control Center, not the Notification Screen.
