Notification tab

Hai everybody
I am learning P to P cycle through a pdf.
I am trying to create a Notification Tab on my APPS personal home page,
for that i have click worklist and in that i have to go in Customize.
when i click that it is asking for User Name and Password.
I am getting the error message like this
ERROR:WF_PLUG.EDIT_WORKLIST_DEFINITION: requires a username and password.
How to find the user name and password .
can anybody suggest me with a solution.

How to view iCal all day events in notifications tab?

First of all I really don't like the new iCal app in ios7 but for now I am dealing with it and am contemplating getting a new app to use for my calendar. However I am trying to make this one work first. One of the problems I have is if I have iCal events that are scheduled as "all day" events, and when I swipe down to view my notifications tab it says I have no events even when I have an event for that day. However it shows up if I have a time for that event, ex: 8:00 am to 10:00am.
Is this a bug or is there a way to get them to show up? I have everything turned on in settings for the notifications tab settings.
My other issue with iCal is I have two calendars (one for work and one for home) and when I view my month, I want to be able to see the color of the event i have planned on certain days, instead it just shows me a grey dot for the days i have something planned. My ipad with ios7 shows me the view I want my iphone doesn't, just grey dots. This forces me to actually click on the day and then try to scroll through the day timeline to find my event.....any help?

Did you ever get an answer on this? I can see everything in the DAY view but need to see the all day events in the week view. I have events that start on say the 15th and run to the 21st. I've started putting the end date in the location field but it was so much nicer when the all day even portion expanded to allow you to see all of them without having to scroll. Having to use the DAY view makes it really hard to schedule. Any chance this will change in the new version?

How can I get recent notifications to show up in UWL notification tab?

Hello,
Is it possible to get items that appear in the recent notification iView to show up under the Universal Worklist Notification tab.
For example, when I subscribe for documents in the KM document repository the subscriptions and any changes appear in the recent notification tab. How can I get them to show up in the UWL notification inbox? I've changed the subscription service channnel to add the variable Null on top of e-mail and it does not work.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Location services can run the battery down, so i'd like to know as well, with location disabled.
I have location on for Find My iPhone only, and i'd prefer to keep it that way.
I don't know why they had to mess with the weather in notification center, it was totally great the way it was.
I also have 4s with iOS7.

In Portal Employees are not receiving the Notifications. When they click on the notification tab its giving some warning message.

My notification tab isn't pulling down and the tab on the bottom isn't pulling up either?? Please help

So I was typing something and out of nowhere this thing comes up and I accidentally hit a button and did something. I don't know what I did or how I did it but now my notification tab and the bottom tab aren't pulling up/down

I don't think you can disable either Notification Center (top of screen) nor Control Center (bottom of screen). You might try resetting your phone...it's been known to cure many odd quirks:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Not display notification in Notification tab

Hi All,
I would like to have an only "Notification" Tab in UWL.
So, I went to System Admin> System Config > Universal Worklist Admin
Then went to Universal Worklist Content Configuration
Then Click to Configure Item Types and Customize Views Using a Wizard
Edit Main page by removed all tab except "Notification" tab.
then I created a subcription for one document in KM.
For user1 whom has existing notifications, the new notification (above one) displayed fine.
But for user2, tested notification doesn't display in UWL iView.
Any configuration that I missed?

maybe you have some cache to clean.
You can also try to close your browser, clear your local and portal cache and relogging again.

Missing notifications tab mavericks

Okay so I have a bit of a bug where my mac wont show the little notifications tab on the side beside the search pls help

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Clicking assign in Notification tab get empty list of Email Name

I make Email Definitions:
First - Provisioning Related
Second - Request Related

Then I make a process task "MAIL" in provisioning process of resource. I try to assign email in notification tab, but get empty list.

Just check the value of User Language and User Region attributes in System Confirguration through design console.
Verify both the values are same like en and us.

Notifications tab in UWL not working

Hi,
I have created a task of type Send Notification in UWL and send it to a user. This user didn't receive any notification in his Notifications tab in UWL.
I noticed that I have problems with the Notifications tab at various types of tasks.
Do you know what might be the problem? Please help me.

Hi Ashutosh,
I have found the reason. The user <b>WF - Batch</b> in sap erp, which is using the RFC Destination for workflow, was locked. Well, it is a a little bit strange for a cummunication user that he becomes locked. Unlocked him, now all works.

UWL - Notification Tab Change

Hi All,
I am facing an issue in the UWL iview.
Under the Notification Tab, in the table there is a column called Priority, I need it to be replaced with the Due date column (Similar to the one present under the Task Tab).

Send notification from GP to UWL Notification tab

Hello all,
The GP Task are already shown in the Task tab of the UWL and it works fine.
Has anybody an idea, if it is possible to send a notification after finishing a GP Process to the UWL, which will be shown in the notification tab?
I tried to use the predefined notification Callable Object, yet it is requires to enter an email template so I assume, that just emails are sent.

Notifications tab interferes with game playing in 5.1

I just upgraded to 5.1 and now I'm noticing when I'm playing a solitaire game and trying to swipe near the edge to move cards from one pile to another, the notifications tab pops out, and if I get in that area again, it will open them.
I have been playing this same game very often without ever having this issue, until the update. It's definitely caused by an adjustment made in the notifications pull-down screen. I'm guessing this will also be an issue in other games. Is there any way to turn off the notifications tab? I really don't use it that often and would rather it didn't interfere with games.

I have encountered this as well, it would be nice to have an option to turn it off, or use a two fingered swipe down or something instead.

SONiC - Items in "Notifications" tab not executable

Hi,
We are using the SONiC connector to view items from the SAP Business Workplace inbox.
Landscape Versions:
ECC 6.0 with SAP EP 7.0 SP 17.
We can see the items in the Notifications tab, but they are not executable, so we can not view the body of the mail. Usually the items appear as URL's, and when they are executed, the message body is displayed.
The connection status is successful for the Notifications tab.
Please advise if you have seen this behaviour, and found a solution for it.

Upto my knowledge , what i know about SONIC is when ever you want to receive mails in the UWL then you will configure SONIC , in order to receive the mails in the notification tab of the UWL., And more over the items under the notification tab are not executable.
By default all the backend workitems will appear under the TASK's tab. and the items under this tab are executable.
so can you be a bit more clear on the issue, or if Iam wrong please let me know

PM NOTIFICATION TAB

We have configured a PM Notification with 4 tabs. Screen structure for extended view 10\TAB01 - Notification 1, 10\TAB03 - Additional data 2, 10\TAB09 - Additional data 3, 10\TAB10 Item and 20\TAB01 Item overview. Activity category is left blank. When the Notification is created or viewed in the change mode, all 4 tabs are displayed, however when viewed in the display mode, the item tab is not displayed. I have tried adding activity categories for 10\TAB10for each of the activities H, V and A. But that overrides the other tabs such that only the items tab is displayed. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Perhaps there is a Note required?

in display mode, if some tab has not any data -> system doesn't show it.
I'm afraid that is not an error but a wanted behaviour...

Please goto configuration with tcode Spro --> PM/CS --> Main Service Processing --> Main Serv Notification --> Noti Creation --> Notif type --> Set field Selction for Notification.
in the notification type , in Breakdown indicator , Breakdown duration , tick the the radio button is activated.
