Notifications no longer working on my iPad after update to iOS 8

I have turned on Notifications (all Green) in my Settings and I have each of the Apps that I want to receive notifications from also turned on individually (all Green), yet I have not received any updates since upgrading two nights ago to iOS 8. I am not getting news feeds or my daily newspaper alerts! I swipe down and Notifications has been empty for two days straight. This is driving me crazy. What's wrong???

No improvements on wifi connection, getting very tired of reconnecting connection every few minutes. How many times do Apple need to get this correct, I've already changed my phone from Apple to sony Experia z1, great phone I might add and now will be looking at how or if Apple can resolve this for iPad air , if not I will have no choice but to ditch Apple permantely. I wonder if this is the things to come from Apple now, the great demise as I watch.

To troubleshoot issues with AirPrint on your iPad please follow the directions outlined below.
Check these things if you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found."
Make sure your printer has paper, and enough ink or toner installed.
Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
Make sure your printer has power and is turned on. Try turning your printer off and then back on again to see if it resolves your issue.
Check to see if your printer has any error lights or indicators displayed on the printer's control panel. Check the documentation that came with your printer to clear any errors displayed.
Check with your printer's manufacturer to see if any firmware updates are available for your printer. Check your printer's documentation or contact the printer vendor for more information. A firmware update may be available, even if you just bought your printer.

My iPad (original) no longer connects to the internet after update to ios 5. Are there any solutions to this issue?

Has anyone found a successful method to connect? This is not a router issue as other devices, including another iPad not updated to ios 5 connects just fine. I am getting frustrated

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this did not work, and to rule out a software issue, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

If still no luck, this might be a hardware problem and the phone has to be checked by an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple:

Trackpad no longer works on MacBook Pro after update to OS 10.72.2

I just did a software update to OS 10.7.2 and upon restart my trackpad no longer works. The button does but not the pad. Any thoughts? I have never had a problem with it. There is no battery issue. No buckling or swelling. It worked, then I updated it to 10.72, restarted, and now it doesn't.
I have a MacBook Pro, 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB SDRAM.
Thank God I have an external mouse. HELP!

Itunes Match not working on Iphone 4 after update to IOS 5.1

Itunes Match has never been an issue for me in the past. After I updated to IOS 5.1, I accessed my music app and noticed that Itunes Match was only showing artists that started with the letter "A" And "B". So I turned match off, turned it back on and now itunes match shows a picture of a cloud and a progress bar. the bar takes hours to move about half way, and then the app will just tell me that I don't have any music and I can dowloand music from itunes.
My wife is not having any issues with match on her iphone 4 and my ipad 2 running IOS 5.1 is also not having any issues.
I have tried signing in and out of the Itunes store, turning on and off Itunes match, doing a hard reboot of the phone, I have rest and deleted everything on my phone and restored from a icloud back up. I even tried to see if I could delete the music app data by going under settings/general/usage.....but the music app says it has "no data".
This is Very frustrating for me, and I can't figure out what i can do to make my phone load my music match library again. I thank you for any suggestions/help that you may have in advance!

Exactly the same ting has happened to me over te past few days with my ipad2... I too resorted to setting my ipad2 up as a new device again to get match working... There is definitely something screwy happening on 5.1 I think... It was fine till I updated

Some sounds aren't working on my iPad since updating to iOS 4.3.

I recently upgraded the iOS on my original iPad using the 4.3 gold master. Since then I've noted that many of the sounds (e.g. Lock Sounds, Keyboard Clicks, in-app sounds etc.) are no longer working. I still get audio from video and audio tracks, but nothing else. Even my Angry Birds are mute.
Is this related to the gold master? Is there a way to downgrade then upgrade again using the final release.

If you were previously using iOS 3.2.2 then the problem that you are having is probably that the screen orientation lock was changed to a system sounds mute switch in iOS 4 (games, alerts, key presses, etc.)
However, in iOS 4.3 the function of the switch is configurable, it can be an orientation lock as before or a mute switch. Go to Settings > General > Use side switch... To set what you want.

Cannot activate ipad after updating to iOS 4.2.1

I just update my ipad to iOS4.2.1 but unable to activate it.
The message on itunes (10.1.0.56) reads "We are unable to complete your activation at this time. Please disconnect your ipad from your computer and reconnect it later and we should be able to activate it"
But even after I tried several times, (and on other ppl's computer, so it's an internet connection issue), I am still unable to activate. And always show an "iunes + white USB cable" logo on ipad screen and the same message on itunes.
Any can help? PS:
1)I update through local .ipsw file, (shift + update), the file is no problem
2)My ipad is not JB

I just experienced the exact same thing after upgrading from iOS 4.2.x to iOS 4.3...
Now my iPad shows the picture of the white USB cable that tells me to connect to iTunes to (re)activate. After trying this nothing happens - except from a message in iTunes telling me that;
"There is a problem with your iPad.
We're sorry, the iPad you connected may be damaged and canot be activated for service. We recommend you to visit your nearest Apple Store for more information. To find your..."
Anyone else had similar exeriences?!

Can anyone help. I updated my ipad to ios 8.0.1 - no problems. Since updating to ios 8.0.2 it's virtually useless. The wifi is ridiculously slow and unreliable and even when I establish a connection many of my apps report that there's no network connection. Please help. My ipad air is virtually useless now!

Drop down menus no longer work on many sites after upgrade to ios 5.

On my iPad and iPhone I'm having trouble on a number of sites with drop down menus. When you click on the menu, it immediately selects the default option instead of allowing the menu to drop and then select one. Any way to fix this?

Obviously you are referring to web sites using Safari???? If it happens on both devices - iPad and iPhone - that seems rather odd to me.
Try all of the basics .... Resetting the iPad may be your first best bet ....
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Got to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data

it shows its been updated and I can see the stations, but it keeps saying that radio station cannot be added
or it will not even start...Ive rebooted it a couple times and even did a factory reset and it still will not play

I would try and hold the power and home button down at the same time for 15 seconds or until device shuts off, then see if it works. If that does not work try resetting your device. If you do not want to reset it, contact Apple support. make sure to back up everything on device!

Logic Pro no longer works with Firewire 1814 after updating drivers

I was attempting to hook up 2 M-Audio Firewire 1814 units and use them from Logic Pro 7. The older driver I was using would actually crash with this configuration, and so I updated to the latest driver, thinking this might solve the problem.
Well, the M-Audio driver now comes up fine - I can even monitor the signal levels coming from both devices in the associated UI. However, when I launch Logic Pro, I get the following message:
"Logic Pro has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers."
Although I can arm some of the lower track numbers (I still get this message), I cannot do so with higher track numbers.
Effectively, installing the latest M-Audio driver has broken my version of Logic Pro for whatever reason.
Removing and reinstalling the driver made no difference.
Any thoughts, anyone??
