Notifications not working?

Hi, I have an iPod Touch 3G. A couple days ago the notification center stopped working. Now I don't know when I have new fbook messages. It works for some apps (Mail), but not for the others, and they have been already updated and all. It was working just fine and then suddenly it stopped... Please help me figure out how to fix it! I repeat, everything was working fine, and then it stopped without me installing anything or touching anything. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Thanks
for info
Regards
Enis,

    iPhone 4s Voice mail notification not working after switching from Verizon to PagePlus.  How can I get the notifications working?

    Contact your carrier - voicemail, and visual voicemail, is a carrier feature.

    voicemail notifications not working for iphone 4s

    I had the same problem and after a lot of research here and on Verizon I finally discovered that it was an app named Onavo Extend that was preventing my voicemail from working. Other people have had success resetting their phone or network settings, disabling and reenabling SIRI, or deleting the Neilsen app (which I didn't have)  but those options didn't work for me. A lot of mods have claimed that this is not an Apple problem but if it is caused by an app that Apple allows to be sold in their app store, then it is an Apple problem, not a carrier problem. Of course, sometimes its just an ID 10 T problem.

  • Interactive notifications  not working in my 5s

    uupdated my iphone yesterday but after  update my interactive  notifications  not working

    Have you restarted your iPhone?  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702
    Restart the app
    Close the app and open it again.
    Restart your device
    Turn the device off and on.
    If that does not help, reinstall iPhoto - that fixed the same problem for me, but that will delete the iPhoto library, so your journals and slideshows will be lost. You may want to make a backup of your iPhone before you try that.
    Reinstall the app
    Remove the app from your device and reinstall it. Remember that deleting an app also deletes its data.
    Delete the app.
    Press the Home button.
    Go to the App Store and download the app again.
    Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.
    If the download stops, you can resume it.
    If even reinstalling iPhoto does not help, restore your iPhone:  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281

  • Iphone5 push notifications not working

    iphone5 push notifications not working. But All ok with my iphone4s. All settings are same. Any idea what is wrong?

    I am having this problem, too. I have several apps I require to notify me of things going on in my business but none of them appear or make a sound to alert me.

  • Exchange push notifications not working on iphone5

    My work email is exchange, and it doesn't push on my new iPhone 5. I have all of the settings right for pushing. If I go to my mail, it says 'Checking Mail' and then new message show up. Any help with push notifications not working on the 5? Thank you.

    This is an issue that a lot of people are having...   it's all on this thread.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4345374?start=0&tstart=0
    The 'fix' that is decribed in the first post does not work.  The only workaround is if you are on Wi-Fi, turn off Cellular Data and then reset the push service by turning on Airplane mode for a few seconds and then turn it back off.  Seems to be an issue with the iOS talking to the new LTE CDMA chip on Verizon and Sprint iPhone 5s.

  • Iphone 4 push notifications not working for any app

    hi, Actually I own an iPhone 4 os 4.2.1(8c148). The thing is that push notification for all the apps that support this feature is not working, I've been an iphone user for long time now, so I konw all the stuff about turning on the push notifications etc. the problem is that my phone give me the pushes like 1 hr or 2 late, or some times never , i just have to open the apps to see my new messages and stuff. Since i live in colombia I have brought the iphone to the store and they take it for like a week and then they give me the phone back saying that is ok , but it isn't. I' have reinstalled the software, I've done anything you can think of, like turning on an of push notification, put it in plane mode, restore as new, backups, and I don't know what else to do, and the thing is that in colombia they don't exchange your phone that easy as it is in the US. So please any advise? ANd I'm sorry about my English. Thank you!

    Unfortunately you have already done everything we can possibly instruct you to do.. at this point the only option is getting them to exchange it its under warranty its not working you have to get a exchange

  • Notifications not working at all! [SOLVED]

    I had a feeling that notifications were not working properly in both my machines (a desktop and a laptop) for quite some time, but I never took the time or effort to really test it. Now I wanted to test a software that is all about notifications (https://launchpad.net/pydojo) but I get this error:
    glib.GError: The name org.freedesktop.Notifications was not provided by any .service files
    I decided to investigate and tried this simple script (that depends on the 'python-notify' package), which gave me the same error:
    import pynotify
    def callback_function(notification=None, action=None, data=None):
    print "It worked!"
    pynotify.init( "Some Application or Title" )
    n = pynotify.Notification("Title", "body", "dialog-warning")
    n.set_urgency(pynotify.URGENCY_NORMAL)
    n.set_timeout(pynotify.EXPIRES_NEVER)
    n.add_action("clicked", "Button text", callback_function, None)
    n.show()
    $ python notify.py
    Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "notify.py", line 11, in <module>
        n.show()
    glib.GError: The name org.freedesktop.Notifications was not provided by any .service files
    I tried reinstalling glib and hal, with no success. Is anyone having this same problem?
    I don't know if that is anything to do with this other issue, but I also can't shutdown or reboot through Gnome:
    $ gnome-power-cmd.sh shutdown
    Shutting down
    Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "Shutdown" with signature "" on interface "org.freedesktop.PowerManagement" doesn't exist
    Failed
    $ gnome-power-cmd.sh reboot
    Rebooting
    Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "Reboot" with signature "" on interface "org.freedesktop.PowerManagement" doesn't exist
    Failed
    EDIT:
    Sorry for that, I only had to install notification-daemon to make this work. In my defense, I must say there are not many places talking about this. I found it here:

  • Text notification not working after recent software upgrade.

    I also have the Galaxy s4 and have noticed issues after the recent upgrade. My device will only vibrate now when receiving text messages, the notification sound doesn't seem to work anymore. I've tried adjusting settings on both my messaging apps until I'm blue in the face and can't seem to make anything work. Other notifications still work ok for the most part. Any ideas??

    Please, nobody waste any time replying to this issue as the problem appears to be fixed now. I rarely restart my laptop as I usually just put it to sleep, however, I restarted it and the problem looks to have gone away. I may have fixed it with some of the things I tried, but the laptop may just have needed restarting - I'm not sure.
    But as long as the problem is resolved, I'm happy. :-)))
    Thanks anyway!

  • IMessage and push notifications not working after installing iOS 7!!

    My iMessages and push notifications don't work after installing iOS7..!!! I can't even log in to iMessages using my Apple ID.. And every time I log into Facebook or whatsapp it keeps telling me to connect to iTunes to receive push notifications..!!
    I connected to iTunes on my comp and tried resetting my phone.. Nothing works!! HELP

    Its stuffed, iMessage and facetime are both sitting on "waiting for activation" so they are not working, 1 post suggested resetting the phone again setting up as a new phone and then turning iMessage and Facetime on and then restoring.  After the reset iMessage and Facetime started working, I did the restore and it stopped working again.  Nice waste of 2 hours.

  • Push notifications not working in ios 7 on iphone 5

    Since upgrading to ios 7 on my iphone 5 push notifications are not working, specifically for mail, mailbox, whatsapp and messages. I have checked all settings multiple times, hard reset and restored from back up a number of times with no results. I set the notification centre so show on the lock screen just for notifications, but get nothing.
    Is anyone else having the same problem? Is it a bug with ios7 or a bug with the apps?

  • Change Notification not working on Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 but ok with 11.2.0.1.0

    Hello together,
    we have an .Net application which implements the Change Notification using ODP.NET.
    On the customer site all worked well on the development and test environment connected to an Oracle database version 11.2.0.1.0. After setup of the production environment (Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 on another server) the change notification didn't work anymore.
    The notifications are registered properly, but the event handles don't receive the change events.
    It was checked, if all ports are open, firewall etc. and no hint from this side was found, why it should not work.
    Then we recompiled the .Net application with references set to the new version of ODP.NET (11.2.0.2.1) - also without success.
    After all, a second database was installed in the production environment, but now version 11.2.0.1.0 (same version as in development and test environment), and if connected to this database the change notification worked as expected.
    Can anybody give me a hint, what might be the reason for not receiving change notification events on Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 ?
    Thanks a lot and best regards
    hattl

    This is a DB bug, not an ODP.NET bug. If it were documented anywhere, it would be in the DB README. This problem affects anyone using change notification on a DB on any platform. This is not a problem specific to ODP.NET.
    I suspect this issue is not documented since it was diagnosed after 11.2.0.2 became available. If you wish to track a bug, you can log into My Oracle Support and view the bug log. I viewed the bug log myself and the problem has been resolved. It's just waiting for the 11.2.0.3 patchset to be released.
    If your organization needs this fix sooner than the second half of this year, let me know. I'll ask Oracle Support if they can include this fix in a bundled patch or one-off.

  • Notifications not working! PLEASE HELP!

    So my notifications haven't been working lately. I'm on iOS 8. They work when the phone is unlocked and I'm in another app, then the Messages tri-tone sound happens and it vibrates, but when the phone is locked it doesn't do it. I checked all my settings, turned it off and on again, changed the sounds and made sure of the obvious stuff, ringer was up, it wasn't on silent etc. So yeah..

    Hi Burd-Edits,
    I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with Notifications on your iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you may have covered when you mentioned checking your settings. If your Notifications are not working when your iPhone is locked, but otherwise seem to be behaving normally, you may want to double-check the Do Not Disturb setting outlined in the following article:
    Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • IPad 2 Notifications not Working!! Please Help :(

    Hello Everyone,
    This is going to be my very first post and I have a pretty big problem with my iPad 2. It seems that my push notifications don't work with apps such as IM+ and IMO. Skype seems to work perfectly but I prefer to use IMO for msn. The problem is I never receive any notifications until I open the app. I'm currently on iOS 5.01.
    Here are the things that I've tried.
    1) Reset network settings
    2) Change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 (these solutions worked for about 5 minutes)
    3) Restart iPad with new DNS setting
    4) Ensured that all notifications are on with the 'push' slider turned on
    I've had a android galaxy tablet 10.1 and I have never had any issues with getting notifications with that.
    I should note however that I did find one way to solve my notifications problem. Turns out if I go into my router under firewall settings (I have a DLINK DIR-601), and I enable DMZ setting with my Ipad's ip address, notifications work 100%. BUT, I don't want to have to change router settings everywhere I go that has Wi-fi network. Is there a way to get notifications to work without having to constantly enable DMZ for every wifi network I come across? Is there a problem with my iPad? Should I return it? When I don't enable DMZ, notifications will work for literally 5 minutes before they stop working. I'm suspecting it may be an issue with my iPad? Please help! THANKS

    is there no one out there that has a similar issue to me?
