Notifications widget?

the invasive useless pop ups for notifications on belle are maddening! Does anyone know if there a 3rd party notifications widget like the Anna style one?

Hi LuxLuxLux,
Thank you for your post.
In Belle, the notification widget has been replaced by a pull-down notification bar on the top of your homescreen that gives you fast and easy access to missed calls and other information.

I have upgraded my n8-00 to newest belle and i am not finding Notifications widget any more, i liked to have it on my homescreen to see when who called, how many sms have i not read and etc. Is there a way to restore this widget? as it is very useful .

there may be an app from memory in the Nokia Store, but under normal usage no you cannot restore the Notifications widget as this was removed in the Nokia Belle update.

  • Anna - Notifications widget bug ?!

After updating my E7 to Anna the notifications widget on my homescreen is somewhat buggy...when i get new sms or missed call they dont appear in the widget as before in the old version. It is somewhat frustrating, they only appear on the upper right end corner, the small icons appear there only.
Any idea how to fix this ?!
I tried removing the widget and putting it back, restarting the phone...
    thank  you

  • New Ipad's top pulldown notifications widget isn't working

PUrchased the New Ipad recently and the COOL top pulldown notification widget is just blank. No notifications listed at all.  I've got my notifications set up correctly (like on my Iphone 4 which is working brilliantly), anybody know how to kickstart this widget???

    iOS: Understanding Notifications

  • Notification widget keeps moving to bottom of list

I'm running iOS 5.0.1 and have the notification widgets set to sort manually instead of by time.
Any time I move the Stocks widget to any location other than the bottom it looks fine until I leave the Notifications setting page. If I back out to the main Settings screen and return to Notifications the Stock widget has moved back to the bottom.
Has anyone else seen this? Is there a setting somewhere that I can reset? Or is this a bug I should submit?
    Thanks.

Using 24.2.0 and seem to have this issue over the last couple of versions.

  • Notification Widgets not Working

I installed Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) in my Mac Mini.  I had the notifications widgets missing but found a way of getting them to be displayed.  I can add them to the Notification My big problem now is that I can't get them to work.
Does anyone know how to make them work?
    Thank you.

    Hello,
I had the same problem after upgrading to Yosemite and the solution that worked for me is to disable the "write Anywhere" option in Ink, which I had active on my mac (MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2013))
After doing the above, I got full functionality in all the widgets that were not responding.
    I hope it helps.

  • Notification Widgets use appleid and not username of app

While trying to enable several different notification widgets, I've found that the widget is trying to use the appleid of the device to login to each app (LinkedIn and OpenTable) in order to display the widget data.  I have one ID that I use as my AppleID, but I use different accounts and email addresses for third party websites and apps in order to push all junk emails to an address I don't check often.  What I have found is that when enabling the LinkedIn and OpenTable widgets on the Notifications screen, they prompt me to log in.  When I click to login through Notifications, it opens the app, which uses a different login which is saved in each app so the widget never enables itself.
It seems as if it is trying to login with the AppleID, instead of the credentials that are stored in each app.
    64GB iPhone 5S
Problem exists in ios 8 and 8.0.2

No, your computer's iTunes will only download the current version of an app, you can only potentially download previous versions of apps directly on the device.

  • Notification widgets are not displayed - iOS 8

    Hi community,
i have a problem regarding the new widget feature in notification center.
Although activated, Wunderlist and Apple's own reminders app (I hope it's called like that, as it has a different name in Germany) are not displayed. It is not like this happened right from the start but since I deleted one of my list in reminders, I'm not able to display a new one in notification center.
With Wunderlist it's a similar behavior. When I first activated it, it has been displayed. The problem was that I had just installed the app and didn't even log in. Therefore I opened Wunderlist via notification center, but wasn't able to log in. Subsequently I shut it down, no change. So I deleted the app, downloaded it again and logged in. Since then, Wunderlist is gone from notification center (although activating again).
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance!
    Tim from Germany

  • Fake mail appearing in every gmail notification widget

I don't know what happened or how, and searching online and here in the forums has yielded no solutions or even examples of others experiencing the same problem. Here's the story:
I use GotMailG in dashboard to check my mail, as I have multiple gmail addressed, both at gmail.com and via google apps. It would be a nightmare to try to check email across so many different addresses if I had to log in and out in the browser, so dashboard is perfect for me. (I used to use a different widget until it stopped working.)
This morning, when I first booted up everything was fine. Then, about an hour or so later, I went to dashboard and it was showing 1 email for every account. VERY unusual, so I clicked one to check and there was no new email at all. Clicked another, same story. Every email address now shows 1 new email when there is nothing there, and to make matters worse if I DO have a new email it does not go up to 2.
I searched for other widgets and found g4me, which yields the same result, BUT I can see a snippet of the fake email. It's an ad for Roxio Toast 10 Pro, from [email protected] Sounds like a spam email address to me, but ***, I can't get rid of it because it doesn't exist on the server?!?
I also tried the Google Notifier, which seems to work fine, so the problem must be originating on my machine, not on the gmail servers. I found instructions for running multiple copies of the Google Notifier, but it looks complicated, especially when I have to do it for 6 different emails.
Has anyone seen this problem on their own machine? I am at a loss for what to do.

    I think I've found a fix.
I didn't test it thoroughly but at a first glance mail notifications seem to be working correctly again.

Basically, log in to gmail, and change in the settings for labels the following. Uncheck "show in IMAP" for  starred and important.

  • Weather Notification Widget: Order of Cities Issues

I'm finding that when I have multiple cities in the notification centre weather widget I can't choose the order the cities appear in.
There are several different scenarios I've tested all of which result in a random and unintended order of cities:
    1. Simply adding a new city does not always seem to logically place the new city beneath previous ones as I would expect.
    2. Dragging cities by using the handle on the write when modifying widget attributes does not result in the cities moving to the newly assigned position, it often seems to randomly place it somewhere else in the list...
    3. Sometimes you can get the desired order you're aiming for by trial and error, but then when you click done the order is partially randomised again or reset to its original layout.
Some users have experienced this with whole widgets too or some of the widgets being missing. Would be good to update this!

In my case I've found that turning wi-fi ON/OFF or OFF/ON solved the issue, now the current location is above with the location icon and the rest keeps in order.

  • Email notification widget awesomewm

so i had seen this done before not sure if there is a vicious widget to handle this... i will do all the research i need to in my spare time. however wasnt sure if anyone else had accomplished this thus me having someone to bounce ideas off of.
i spend a lot of time working on my main moniter but dont want to have to switch tags around to check emails... so i was thinking of creating a widget similar to a pacman widget that checked my imap account every 10 minutes or so and if i had new emails would display the number of unread ones.  i use claws mail and im pretty sure it can be done.
again got a lot to look up just wasnt sure if anyone had done something similar

I don't know a thing about Awesome, but Claws Mail has an option (command line) to query unread message count. See claws-mail man page.
Just a thought - I would go the route of creating a simple GTK tray application instead of an Awesome widget, but I guess that's just because (again) I don't know anything about Awesome itself.

  • All day notifications in Calendar widget

    Ok really simple Apple.
Please allow us to see our all day calendar entries in the notification widget. Say hi if you agree... or did I miss a setting... I don't think I have
Other than that really loving 10.10.

  • Multiple mail widgets on N97 initial screen

I have various e-mail accounts I want to monitor separately so I created the email accounts on the mail programm. The problem is that in the initial screen I can not add more than 1 email notification widget.
Is it possible to force the widget to monitor more than one account?, or add 2 or more mail widgets?

The phone will “real time” monitor two email accounts for you in terms of notifying you when you have new messages. I don’t believe it’s possible to have more than one email widget. However, I downloaded and use the Nokia Messaging program for my email accounts. In this way, I can have one account on screen, but if I open the widget, in the top left corner of the screen of the current inbox you will see an envelope icon. When you press on the envelope it will show your other email accounts (which you set up through Nokia Messaging) which you can press on and thus switch to. http://email.nokia.com/account/home.action Hope that helps.

  • Notification of text message

When i got the phone and i revieved a message, it would come up with a box saying 1 new message and you had the option to show or cancel
but now it just alerts me and i have to go into my inbox and then go into the message
how do i change it back?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Have you added the "notifications" widget to one of your homescreens? If so that is the reason why it no longer displays "1 new message".
The widget takes over the function and shows more detailed info such as the senders name, their picture (if set) and a preview of the message.
If you remove the widget from your homescreen it will function the traditional way and display "1 new message" instead.

  • [Solved] Persistent KDE notifications nag

Hello. It's my first post on the forums, and I'm sorry if the question is very trivial. I haven't been able to find the answer anywhere on the web.
The problem is that KDE notifications persist indefinitely even after explicitly dismissing them. An example is suppose I download something in Firefox. I get a notification that it's downloaded. I can do two things. Either I activate it (or click the little x in the corner to get rid of it) or I ignore it. If I activate it, it should go away, right? Well, it doesn't. The notification area shows that I still have a notification. And when I opt to see that notification, it's the one I just activated (or just dismissed), i.e. the completed download in this case. If I activate it (or dismiss it) again, then it goes away for real.
Now for the second scenario, i.e. the one in which I just ignore it. The notification area shows me that I have a notification. I opt to see that notification and then either activate it or dismiss it. Regardless of what I do, the notification remains there. It's after I activate or dismiss it the second time that it goes away permanently.
This happens for every notification from every application. Is it a situation faced by anyone else? And if yes, how were you able to change this behaviour?

I've also seen this since KDE 4.10. Notifications can only be completely removed by pulling up the notification widget history and closing them there; closing the notification when it first pops up leaves it in the notification history, which is especially annoying if the notification widget is set to show only when there are outstanding notifications, since you have to dismiss each one twice over.
This behaviour appears to be the subject of KDE Bug 311413, filed in December; it is confirmed and has a patch, but doesn't list a target release for incorporating the fix as yet.
