Novel Client or Novell client package request

Does anyone have a PKGBUILD for either the official novell client or the novel client 3rd party one?

Is the Novell Client Installed?
Yes the novell client is installed and connected to the eDirectory. It says that login is successful, but I'm forced to log in locally unless I choose the option:
"Change your Windows password to match your Novell password after a successful login"
which I don't want to do.
If you provide local credentials when prompted, does ZCM show you as
logged on?
When I log in locally and i check the Zenworks Adaptive Agent that is running on the server, it shows in the top right of the window "Logged in As: Not logged In"
This a fresh install of Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. There are no roles installed. No settings/configurations adjusted just the defaults settings. The only two applications installed and running are the Novell client and the ZENworks Adaptive Agent.
There is a DLU policy assigned to this server. It is configured with 'Remote Desktop Users+' , 'Users+' and a custom user group that is relevant for where I work.
I have also tried a DLU with just 'Administrators+' with no luck either.

SCCM 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Client Package - stuck "In Progress"

Hi Team; I’m having 2 issues with SCCM 2012 R2:
Issue 1: I'm having a strange issue with the default XXX00002 package - "Configuration Manager Client Package",
it will not deploy to the Secondary Site DP. The console is saying "In Progress" - below is the output from the

Issue 2: I'm trying to deploy a couple of Packages/Applications using SCCM 2012 R2 running on Win2K8 R2 with no luck, knowing that I could install the packages
on a test VM “in the DataCenter site”, but when trying to deploy the packages to production PC “in the Office Site”,
the status is packages deployment compliance stuck at 0%
Infrastructure:
3 SCCM servers: CAS, PRI & SEC. Both CAS and PRI are in the DataCenter site, and SEC is in the Office site. The office site has several IP subnets.
Boundaries are configured through Forest Discovery “IP Ranges and AD Sites” since that the AD site should contain all the IP subnets that the AD site contains, Boundaries groups are also configured and a site reference
server is configured for each group respectively.
A OU based Collection has been configured that contains 13 PC "the collection contains the PCs that the packages should be installed.
Packages/Applications are configured correctly since that I could successfully deploy the packages to the test VM which is on the same subnet as the CAS and the PRI servers "the DataCenter subnet". The issue
is that I can't deploy the packages to production PCs in the Office subnet!
Firewall rules are configured and applied via GP, and I even turned Windows Firewall off, and still nothing! I tried to manually initiate Computer Policy download via the SCCM GUI and via a script, still no luck!
I tried configuring IP Subnet Boundaries, still no luck!!
Here are the last 2 lines in the LocationServices.log of a client PC at the Office Site:

It looks like clients in the Office Site can’t connect to the DP/MP of the Secondary Site server which is also a DP.
While on the PC that the application was installed on I see the folowing in the LocationService.log:

Update:
I fixed the issue with the default XXX00002 package - "Configuration Manager Client Package", it will not deploy to the Secondary Site DP. I did that through "Update Distribution Points" option, and after a while the status was 100%.
However; the second issue is still unsolved...

Instant Client Package - SDK, RPM package download not working

Hi,
I am trying to download "Instant Client Package - SDK", RPM package for Linux 32 bit, version 11.2.0.1.0 from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/oci/instantclient/htdocs/linuxsoft.html
However the file downloaded has zero length. I tried from two different computers. I cannot find any contact/form to report broken content on that website. Can someone help, please?

Unable to copy hidden package "Configuration Manager Client Package" to local DP

Content status lists it as successfully distributed to all DPs (including the local site server)
However, component status for SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER continually logs these events:
Distribution Manager failed to process package "Configuration Manager Client Package" (package ID = CDW00001).
Possible cause: Distribution manager does not have access to either the package source directory or the distribution point.
Solution: Verify that distribution manager can access the package source directory/distribution point.
Possible cause: The package source directory contains files with long file names and the total length of the path exceeds the maximum length supported by the operating system.
Solution: Reduce the number of folders defined for the package, shorten the filename, or consider bundling the files using a compression utility.
Possible cause: There is not enough disk space available on the site server computer or the distribution point.
Solution: Verify that there is enough free disk space available on the site server computer and on the distribution point.
Possible cause: The package source directory contains files that might be in use by an active process.
Solution: Close any processes that maybe using files in the source directory. If this failure persists, create an alternate copy of the source directory and update the package source to point to it.
NOTE: It appears to not be any of these causes.

Both errors are certificate related. Is there anything special about your configuration such as special ACLs on the certificate store or FIPS compliance mode (see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811833) being enabled?
Nothing special with certificates; I've used the basic stuff for intranet management of clients.
The only related thing I can think of that may have affected this, is that I discovered earlier today that my MP installation got hosed (error 500) due to a broken client install on the site server itself. I uninstalled the client manually and the server
(as indicated by the component status views) appears to have repaired the MP install. Perhaps it didn't repair it completely? Would a site reset do me any good?

Large XML Publisher reports fail with client-error-request-value-too-long

We are running BI Publisher 5.6.3 with Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 (ATG.H RUP 5), and are having frequent failures with client-error-request-value-too-long messages on large PDF reports that cause the entire report to not print.
The exact error message is as follows:
lp: unable to print file: client-error-request-value-too-long
Pasta: Error: Print failed. Command=lp -c -dPDX_B6_1LJ5200NEAST /logs/temp/pasta3262_0.tmp
Pasta: Error: Check printCommand/ntPrintCommand in pasta.cfg

APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1
Cause: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from the OSD routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1.
Action: Review your concurrent request log file for more detailed information.
I have Google'd client-error-request-value-too-long, and found it is a common CUPS issue on Linux. The popular solutions (having /var/spool/cups and /var/spool/cups/tmp) are already in place. Also, the temp files are nowhere near 2 GB (44MB).
Has anyone had this issue with BI Publisher on Linux?

We are running BI Publisher 5.6.3 with Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2, and are having frequent failures with client-error-request-value-too-long messages on large PDF reports that cause the entire report to not print.
The exact error message is as follows:
lp: unable to print file: client-error-request-value-too-long

I have Google'd client-error-request-value-too-long, and found it is a common CUPS issue on Linux. The popular solutions (having /var/spool/cups and /var/spool/cups/tmp) are already in place. Also, the temp files are nowhere near 2 GB (44MB).
Has anyone had this issue with BI Publisher on Linux?

The linux sysadmins set the cups max_request_size at 10 MB, which was causing this error. Once the restriction was lifted, the reports ran without error.

Client-error-request-value-too-long

What is this error???? I am trying to add an Epson 1280 printer and I get this error. I have the most current driver and not sure why this isn't working.

My flatmate had this "client-error-request-value-too-long" problem with her (powerpc) powerbook. Nearly everything I tried didn't work:
1) Reinstalling drivers
2) Permissions repair
3) Resetting print system using Fixamac's Printer Setup Repair Utility
4) Updating from 10.4.10 to 10.4.11
5) Using the command line to try and recreate the directory: /var/spool/cups/tmp (which told me it already existed)
6) Using Transmit (with show invisible files turned on) to browse to /var/spool/cups/ and try and recreate the tmp folder
On the last point I couldn't change anything about the /var/spool/cups/ directory because the permissions were corrupted in some way. It keep telling me tmp already existed but I couldn't see it.
In the end what did work was enabling and logging in as root, browsing to /var/spool/ using Transmit and deleting the cups folder and then recreating. It took a few tries to delete too, but in the end I managed to remove it.
Of course I wouldn't actually recommend this. I'm no Unix geek so god knows what I might have broken in the process, so I'm going to reinstall her system with the Archive and Install options when I get a chance, which is what I'd recommend doing in the first place to anyone having this problem.

Error: "client-error-request-value-too-long" when trying to add printer

After installing the 10.4.9 Combo update, my HP 1350 All-in-One printer was not recognized. I reinstalled the driver, but now I can't add the printer. I get the error message "client-error-request-value-too-long" when trying to add the printer. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem.

Well, I tried all of that and I'm still getting the error message. I've also repaired disk permissions and run Disk Warrior. When I repaired disk permissions, many HP printer items showed up in the list.

USB Printing - client-error-request-value-too-long

A little while back, my iSight suddenly stopped working and so I did a full format and reinstall to 'fix' the problem. The problem wasn't 'fixed' through this action. Instead, I had to disconnect power and let the computer sit there for a bit and think about what it had done (naughty iMac). Anyway... Another USB-related problem just popped up - this time with my printer.
The printer is a Canon IP4000 and I just installed the latest drivers to try to fix this error. The first error was something about not being able to write to the device. I thought that was stupid and would probably be fixed by deleting the printer and then reinstalling it. I have so far 'uninstalled' the printer (more or less just removed it from the printers list in the printer utility) and now I can't re-add it to the list to install it. The error reads as follows:
An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer.
client-error-request-value-too-long
I have tried Google but I just don't have the time to sort through all kinds of explainations on how CUPS works on Linux (apparently, this error is related to CUPS in some way). I also tried searching the forum for the error message but found nothing. So here I am again asking for some help from those who might have seen this problem before.
This is on a fresh install and I have tried it on newly created users to no avail.

I've recently had this error which came up because the spool folder was missing. In the terminal:
sudo mkdir /private/var/spool
sudo mkdir /private/var/spool/cups
puts the proper folders in their place. Repair permissions afterwards.
Through the cups web interface, the error is "Request entity too large"
Panther has the same folders, but a different error comes up.
The above cups folder has different permissions than the default. Probably the same for Tiger and Panther but just to be safe, repair permissions.

Problems setting up 2way SSL with option Client certs requested Not Enfor

Hi,
Iam having problems trying to set up 2 way SSL with the option "Clients Certs Requested But Not Enforced". I am using DefaultIdentityAsserter with my own implementation of UserNameMapper. And I have the login-config set to CLIENT-CERT in web.xml. I have tested this setup and it works when I have "Client Certs Requested and Enforced" but when I change it to "Requested and not enforced" it gives an 401 unauthorized exception.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid not, I turned to Apple support forums, followed their advice for troubleshooting Mac Mail (obviously not relevant to you using Outlook) but It involved scanning ports checking firewalls etc, all of this was clear and I just cannot see the problem.
I even got one of the Livechat BC guys to look into it, by setting up a dummy email address on the client's account, I think he was rather intrigued, but I'm not sure he's had much luck as he still hasn't got back to and that was over 20 hours ago.
Can your client receive emails? I can only get my client's account receiving emails, when I try to send an email I just keep receiving an message telling me that it cannot connect to smtp!
According to the BC fact sheet for sending and receiving emails: "By Default, email software will set the SMTP port to 25, which is the standard port for the smtp protocol. However our mail service has two alternative ports available that you can send through. 8025 or 587.
However it's not blocked and those port settings didn't work either.
The Apple fact sheet made mention to firewall settings possibly also blocking, but it's not relevant to me using my version of OS.

I am now just looking for a reason that my client's mail WONT work on Mac Mail, just so I can sound professional when I tell them the answer is "no".

9.0.5.1: Puzzled by classes in client packages

Currently we're using 9.0.3.3.
We started to look into 9.0.5.1. Now, when the migration is done, there are lots of new client packages containing ...Client and ...RowClient classes.
This is completely new to us. And we have problems with these classes too.
We use our own ViewObjectImpl/ViewRowImpl classes and have our own interfaces extending ViewObject and Row.
When my VO interface extends our own Row interface instead of oracle.jbo.Row then I cannot compile since methods are missing in the ...Client classes. I have to move every single method manually to the right in the wizard. I cannot shuttle the whole interface, since then the methods in oracle.jbo.ViewObject are also created in the ...Client class but some of those methods are final in oracle.jbo.client.remote.ViewUsageImpl (like isInternal()).
Another example:
An abstract VO of ours implements VieObject and a custom interface we defined. These methods are missing in the ...Client class too. And I cannot shuttle those methods to the right in the wizard, because they don't show up. And I cannot shuttle the interface in "Interfaces" because it doesn't show up either.
So what's the deal with the classes in client? Could someone please elaborate?
Do I really need those if I run in local mode? Why is it that my custom interface doesn't show up? I don't get it.

UTL_HTTP and client certificate request

I am hoping that someone can help me. We have a web site that we need to hit and pull the html code back from the pages and we have the code to get what we need but the website now has an option where it requests a client certificate from a user for authentication or if you cancel the request it will then ask you for username and password. I cannot figure out how to submit a cancel on the client certificate request so that my application can submit the username and password authentication. Does anyone have an idea or example to do this? Also if you submit a bad certificate it will prompt you for authentication. So if someone knows how to submit client certificates that would be helpful as well.

I've never faced this issue but you might want to look at using UTL_TCP rather than UTL_HTTP.

SQL*Plus add-on for Instant Client Package on Solaris-SPARC 32bits ???

Hi,
I need sqlplus for a solaris 32bits platform, but following this page
http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/instantclient/instantclient.html, if I choose Solaris 32-bit (SPARC), it doesn't give a link to download Instant Client Package - SQL*Plus (as it does if I choose Solaris 64-bit (SPARC) or Windows 32-bit).
I don't understand why... :(

SQL*Plus is not supported on the 32-bit versions of 64-bit platforms. Please use the 64-bit version of SQL*Plus. Thanks!
