Novell File Upload extension not Installing
I am trying to install the Novell File Upload extension so I can upload my PE file. It will not let me install the plugin in IE or Firefox. I have tried Firefox 22 and IE 8. I have tried from an XP, Win7 and 2003 server. I have tried all of the Active X switches in IE and I have tried the adding the about:config entries in Firefox.
Has anyone gotten this to work? To be honest this is the first time I have tried to get it to work so I can not say it was working before I updated. I went from 11.2.1 mu2 to 11.2.4.

There is no Digital Signature tab for the .cab file or the .dll's inside the .cab file. I have only checked one of my primary servers. I will check the others. What would my next step be if none of them are signed?

Unable to install the Novell File Upload extension to upload directories
Using Firefox 9.0.1 on Windows 7 I'm unable to install the Novell File
Upload extension to upload directories.
As per the pop-up help page, I've added
extensions.install.requireBuiltInCerts in about:config and set it to
false but that has made no difference, even after restarting the browser.
I've also tried this with Firefox 9.0.1 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard
(10.6.8) - unsupported I know - with the same result.
Do I really have to use Internet Explorer? Urgh!

So, with Firefox, first hitting http://<server>/zenworks/ after install
displays
--begin--
This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to <server>, but we can't
confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted
identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However,
this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could
mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't
continue.
[Get me out of here!]
> Technical Details
> I Understand the Risks
---end---
so I click "I Understand the Risks", [Add Exception...] then [Confirm
Security Exception] at which point http://<server>/zenworks/ correctly
displays and I can log in. Checking Tools | Options | [View
Certificates] shows an (Unknown) server certificate for <server> with a
Permanent lifetime.
Is that what you mean by trusting the ZCM CA?
Perhaps this is why Firefox 9.x is not a supported browser though I
thought that was more to do with Mozilla treating major version numbers
as minor ones? Gee if only Firefox hadn't automatically upgraded itself
from 8.x to 9.x!
Thanks.

11.3 File Upload Extension
Since upgrading to 11.3 we're unable to install the file upload extension for firefox (ESR 24.5) on OS X (tried 10.8 and 10.9 - the extension works fine in win7). The link "Install the Novell File Upload extension to upload directories" is there but clicking doesn't do anything. It was working under 11.2.4, but hasn't worked since we upgraded to 11.3. Has anyone else run into this and found a solution?

Whilst I think you're correct the documentation needs updating since it
currently implies that whilst IE is supported on Windows (well duh!) and
Firefox 26.0 and 27.0 on Windows and Linux, Firefox ESR 17.0 and 24.0
are supported on all platforms due to absence of Windows and/or Linux
qualifiers.
From
https://www.novell.com/documentation...uirements.html
--begin--
The following web browsers are supported:
* Internet Explorer 8 (32-bit only) on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows
Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2
* Internet Explorer 9 (32-bit only) on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows
Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2
* Internet Explorer 10 (32-bit only) on Windows Vista, Windows 7,
Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server
2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012
IMPORTANT:
* Internet Explorer versions prior to version 8 are not supported.
* Internet Explorer 11 is not supported; there are a few known issues
related to the support of this version of Internet Explorer in ZENworks.
* Firefox ESR version 17.0 and 24.0
* Firefox version 26.0 and 27.0 (including any patches) on Windows and

I'll report it (along with missing CSS formatting and some broken links
I just found).

Searching for good ASP file upload extension...
Hi. Can anyone recommend a really good ASP/VBScript file upload extension for DW 8.0.2?
I've looked everywhere and most of the links on the Exchange are dead, or the companies no longer exist.
There are some solutions offered by WebAssist but they only work with, and support, PHP now.
I used to have Interakt's File Upload extension but, of course, Adobe bought them and wiped them out, including support for their extensions.
I'd really appreciate your recommendations. There's surely someone out there still using ASP/VBScript and DW 8.0.2...isn't there?
Thank you.

Never used this one myself, but you could try the one from dmxzone - http://www.dmxzone.com/go?12064.

Configuration of ESX VSAN Health Extension: not installed (unknown)
/localhost/GV/computers> vsan.health.cluster_status 0
Configuration of ESX VSAN Health Extension: not installed (unknown)
Per-Host details:
Host 'gvvsan2.rpionline.com' has health system version '6.0.0' installed
Host 'gvvsan3.rpionline.com' has health system version '6.0.0' installed
Host 'gvvsan1.rpionline.com' has health system version '6.0.0' installed
vCenter Server has health system version '6.0.0' installed
I installed the plugin into vCenter and then used Update Manager to install the VIBs to the hosts. All seemed to go well, but the UI says status is Unknown (at least one host is not connected.) and I get the above from RVC.
Is there another step? Is it as simple as clicking enable in the UI now that the VIBs have been installed? Thank you, Zach.Zach,
What should happen is the following:
1. Use VUM to install the health VIB again.
2. After the cluster is remediated successfully, a "retry" button should be visible on the health page.
3. Click retry button on the health page.
4. The install task will sync the VIB status (should finish in just a few minutes)
5. The status of health service turns into ‘Enabled’.
Let me know if this is what happens.

Hi all,
I am using File Upload UI for one my application, for that i created a context attribute of type
com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Resource
, i placed one button which has the action whether any file was selected or not.
public void onActionuploadSelectedFile(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
if(wdContext.currentContextElement().getCaResource()!=null)
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("File Selected");
else
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("File not Selected");
i am getting the message
File not Selected
when no file was seleted. But when i select a file i am not getting any message.
Kindly help me and let me know where is the actual problem....
Currently I am using NWDS 7.0.11
Thanks & Regards,
Chandran SHi,
Please carefully check the below properties(cardinality, selection && types) and bindings.
1. Create a value node(Ex: ctx_vn_FileData) of cardinality 0..1 and selection 0...1
2. Create a context attribute(Ex: ctx_va_FileResource) of
type "com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Resource" under this node.
3. Check you binded this context attribute to resource property of FileUpload UI element.
4. Now you can get the value of this resource using below code.
IPrivateUploadFileKM_View.ICtx_vn_FileDataElement element = wdContext.currentCtx_vn_FileDataElement();
IWDResource resource = element.getCtx_va_FileResource();
4. You can get the resource(file) name & resource(file) extension using below code.
//Read the File
InputStream stream = resource.read(true);
String resourceName = resource.getResourceName();
String resourceExtn = resource.getResourceType().getFileExtension();
Check that you did all these as it is??

When using the Input File Upload (af:inputFile) component, is there a way to set the file extension for certain mime types?
For example, when the user uploads a file, I only want to allow files with the .doc (MS Word) extension. Thanks.Actually not. You can only check the filename or mime type after the user has selected and uploaded the file. Then you can use the code from the post above.

I kept jce.jar file under bea\jdk131_06\lib\ext.
Plus changed java.policy,java.security to look like jre1.4 poicies.
Added local_policy.jar, US_export_policy.jar
I found these suggestions from web for a search of "install sun JCE"

File Upload applet not opening in Query Mode
File Upload Applet is opening in Query Mode in Siebel 7.5, where as in Siebel 7.8 its not opening in Query Mode.
Should anything be changed in CFG? or siebel restricted this?Hi,
There is a property called "Auto Query Mode" in the applet. Check whether this has been set to "New Query" in 7.5. If so the applet will be opening in Query Mode automatically. If this property is blank, in 7.8, the applet will not be opening in Query mode. Check and let me know.

File Upload extension that doesn't time out?!
Can anyone recommend a good File Upload utility that won't
time out on a
shared server? Ideally ASP/VBScript.
Restrictions on our shared server mean that we only have 15
seconds to
execute a script.
My concern is that this just isn't going to be possible on a
shared server
because if someone wants to upload a 3MB image then it's,
naturally, going
to take more than 15 seconds.
Would appreciate any advice, thanks.
Regards
Nath.This is not a script issue, but a server issue. You would
need to talk to
your host.

Hi
The file upload (any kind static/image etc) is not working.
It is giving error "No Data found". This happens only on certain PCs, on other PCs, it works fine.
Have any one experience such issue ? I am not sure how to trouble shoot this, as there are no errors in Apache logs and no record created in wwv_flow_file_objects$.
TIA
DineshSHow does your PL/SQL for the saving of uploaded files looks like? Where does this error happen? Does your process have an error message?

File Upload data not reflected in the Layout
Hi,
Using the following how to document, I have written the file upload functionality.
The upload functionality works and the data is saved in the cube. We have a layout to display the uploaded data.
Issue:- The data is not reflected in the layout soon after fileupload, even after saving the data in the cube.
If i close existing webinterface and re-execute it. I see the uploaded data.
Once the data is saved in the cube, we would like to see this data in our layouts.
How do we achieve this ?
Appreciate your help.

Vinay.

When you click on Submit button the file data goes in the buffer and when you click on Save the data gets posted into cube and then the function module release the buffer.
Comment the FM call API_SEMBPS_REFRESH in Save button and refresh the layout, check if you can see the new data in the layout.
Please grant the points if this answer helps you.

Jakarta Commons -- File Upload does not work with Application Server
Hi ALl,
I tried Jakarta Commons file upload. In the netbeans, I copied the common jar files "commons-io-1.2.jar" and "commons-fileupload-1.1.1.jar" in the
netbeans-5.5\enterprise3\apache-tomcat-5.5.17\common\lib and set the class paths. It is working correctly when I compile and run from the netbeans. However, when I deployed in Sun Application Server PE 9.0, I am receiving the following errors. In Sun application I copied the above jars files to "C:\Sun\AppServer\jdk\jre\lib\ext"..
I have read in several postings that it does not work this way but could find any solution. Any idea will be greatly appreciated.

I solved this few minutes after I posted this question. Thought I should share with everybody, just in case some one else need it.
I copied these three files in the folder C:\Sun\AppServer\jdk\jre\lib\ext
1. servelet-api.jar
2. commons-io-1.2.jar
3. commons-fileupload-1.1.1.jar
No need to set any class path.
