  • Hierarchy on HANA Calculation View with Optional Input Parameters Fails

    Hi,
Has anyone succeeded in building a hierarchy on top of a calculation view with optional input parameters, where an input parameter is not filled?
The original requirement came from the wish to create a parent child hierarchy on a calculation view that was copied into the customer space from a HANA Live Financial Statement query view, but I have found the following when creating a simple level hierarchy on a calculation view that consumes one table. The Calculation View has one Input Parameter where the 'mandatory' box is unchecked.
Calculation view reads ECC table FAGLFLEXT
Simple level based hierarchy on fields PRCTR, RACCT and SEGMENT
Input parameter is used as a filter for PRCTR with logic ("EMPTY" = '$$P_PROFITCTR$$' or "PRCTR" = '$$P_PROFITCTR$$')
When I run the view I see the following behaviour in HANA Studio and Analysis for Excel
Before building the hierarchy I could run the view with or without the Input Parameter
After building the hierarchy I can run the view with the Input Parameter filled, but it fails when the Input Parameter is not filled.
Error message is "error: search table error:  [2426] missing placeholder; missing value for mandatory parameter P_PROFITCTR"
P_PROFITCTR is not a mandatory parameter, but the selection for the hierarchy view thinks it should be. I don't find any notes around this issue, so I don't think it's version related, however the version I have used for this test is 1.00.70.
It's a shame we can't currently build the hierarchy as the parent child relationship is provided in HANA Live view NewGLFinancialStatementQuery.
    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi Ken,
We have been facing similar issue. We have even tried to set default value and as optional parameter. View still fails to create hierarchy (we are not using HANA live). As mentioned on page 97 of HANA modelling guide input parameter is mandatory from engine point of view. Hierarchy is generated as column view during the initial activation of calculation view and therefore expect a value by caller.
This seems to be a product error. Some one from HANA development team should explain this issue in detail. I would expect someone like Thomas Jung reply to us.
At the moment, we cant use input parameter for date prompt which gives us calendar popup feature for date selection. Hierarchies just don't work with input parameter. We are missing something.
    Regards

  • "Connect as..." option in Finder fails using "Apple ID"

    Hi,
I've got a problem that's been bugging me for a very long time and I'm stumped as to what might be the issue.
Both my Desktop and Laptop are logged in to iCloud with the same Apple ID, both are running the most recent version of Yosemite, and both are on my home WiFi network managed by a Time Capsule with UPnP turned on.
When I open a Finder window on the Laptop, choose the Desktop in the side bar under Shared and choose "Connect As...", then select "Using an Apple ID", the dialog box shakes "No". I had Console running while this happens, and it spits out the following three lines:
    4/1/15 9:34:30.852 PM NetAuthSysAgent[586]: NAHSelectionAcquireCredential complete: iakerb 2CD016C0-813B-3FAC-6A18-1F76D38D083E - [email protected]: GSSCred: 0x7fa239c38d70 <MC: iakerb com.apple.idms.appleid.prd.6179422f71707949426b776f666f6561707437396d773d3d@WEL LKNOWN:COM.APPLE.LKDC>

    4/1/15 9:34:30.983 PM NetAuthSysAgent[586]: ERROR: AFP_OpenSession - Login failed with 80
Doing the same thing the other way around, connecting to my Laptop from the Desktop, everything connects right away, so it's clearly something wrong with the Laptop, though I'm stumped as to what it is.
    thanks!

Every time I've posted a question, I try to be as thorough as possible to make sure I'm not wasting someone else's time by giving me information that either I've tried or takes me down a path to a solution tangental to my actual problem.
    Every time, I fail.
Yes, I have tried logging in with a user account instead of the Apple ID. Yes, it does work. Thank you for your suggestion, but my ability to log in at all is not the issue.
If you've got any other suggestions to help me with my Apple ID not working, I'm happy to try them out.
    thanks!

  • TS1389 All of the options above have failed.  I purchased 14 Jimmy Buffett "Fin City" songs and four will not play.  I get the same authorization message, but nothing works.  Please help!

Purchased 14 Jimmy Buffett songs from "Fin City" and four will not play.  All remedies suggested on Apple Support have failed.

If only some of the tracks from the album are throwing authorisation errors at you, that suggests that the tracks are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • HT1926 Routine update of iTunes failed. Eventually had to uninstall and reinstall iTunes x2. Installation failed with message 'Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

    Hi,
When I tried to install iTunes update this failed, then tried to uninstall and reinstall itunes twice. Failed again. Could not open iTunes. I use an HP PC. Even tried to disable Macafee firewall, still itunes failed to install. Please help!!

Followed these instructions with a few changes. (Windows 7 x64)
Uninstalled programs in the following order:
    - Itunes
    - Apple Application Support
    - Apple Software Update
    - Bonjour
    - Apple Mobile Device Support (uninstall failed due to Apple Mobile Device failure)***
    - Restarted System
    - Redownloaded Itunes from website.
    - Run installer as Administratot
    - Succefully installed
***To uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
    - Right clicked on Apple Mobile Device Support, Clicked Charge (second option), Repair, Next (failed to repari)
    - Right clicked the Apple Mobile Device Support in the Programs and Features window and clicked Repair (third option in drop down list). (repaired successfully)
    - Uninstall successful after the repair.
Below is a guess at a quicker solution:
Looking at the uninstalls, it may be worth trying to repair the Apple Mobile Device Support through the Program and Features window before trying to uninstall everything.  It may be a faster fix for the freezing service.  After the repair is successful the itunes update may work.
    Hope this helps.

  • HDD stuck in clag, seems to pass tests (or at least, not fail them)

About 12 months ago, my PB had a new HDD installed because of failure to boot with the old one. It ran fine for ~10 months, then a couple of months ago it had an episode of problems, where it ran unbelievably slowly (say 20 mins to get to the login screen, another 5 to got the login prompt, etc). But it would run OK once it had apps in memory. Seemed a very clear HDD problem again. But at that time, I had some time critical stuff to do, so I hacked my way through it as I couldn't afford the five days repairs take here. After about three days, it suddenly recovered (in the meantime, we had bought a new MacBook as backup - my wife's using it now). When I finally got to the point where I could afford to risk a full failure, and ran techtools pro on it, nothing showed - esp., no recorded SMART errors. So I decided to wait till the end of term before I took it off to the repairers. Well, that's Thursday. But in the meantime, the gremlins have reappeared. It's pretty clearly disk-related - and pretty clearly low level, because when I do an <option> reboot, it takes forever to bring up the icon of the built-in HD. However it seems a little strange, because sometimes when I do an <option> reboot, it fails to find the attached firewire drives - but when I start it again, it finds them. So that makes it look like something might be injecting noise onto the bus - except that, when I do manage to boot from one or other of the firewire drives, it runs beautifully, at normal speed.
Of course, I have also tried to check it with techtools pro. But it shows no errors - though it did hang once in the middle of the disk controller test (but stopping it and re-running it gave a green light). However I had to abort the surface scan, it clearly wasn't going to finish within my lifetime.
What happens when it starts to give problems, is I can hear it doing endlessly repeated seeks, but it eventually seems to get to read the block and goes on to the next. Then every now and then it will give a faint (and I do mean faint) squeak. It actually sounds more mechanical than electronic, though hard to be sure. So presumably something is detecting that there was some sort of hardware error. So why don't I see hard controller errors, seek errors or SMART errors in the techtools logs? Any ideas what could be the problem?
I should add that the machine has about two months of its applecare warranty left. If possible, I don't want to get (say) the HDD replaced, only to find one week after the end of warranty that it was really a motherboard problem and I'm left with a pretty paperweight... Any help in getting the right diagnosis on this would be greatly appreciated.

Well the local apple guys were very fast, my wife picked the machine up Wednesday morning, though I was a bit suspicious - I got her to boot it while I talked her through it on the phone, while she was still in the shop. It booted, but veeerrry slowly. The shop guys claimed it was normal.... When it came home and I tried to re-install my backups, it failed with hard errors. I then ran techtools on the new disk, this time it showed hard read/write/seek errors (I probably should have checked whether it was really a new drive, or whether they just reformatted). Anyway, with the printouts from techtools, there wasn't any argument about replacing the disk this time (and it's definitely new - hitachi rather than toshiba). This time, reinstallation wasn't too bad, and I'm writing this from the machine now. It still seems a little slow, but maybe that's because in the interim I've been using my wife's macbook...
Thanks for all your help. I still don't understand why none of this showed up in SMART status, but I guess I don't know enough about that.

I have done the transportable tablespace between 2 test servers before, which are both on the 10.2.0.1. It's done sucessfully at the same target server (LINUX, XE edition). So this is the 1st time I get into this problem. Does anyone know that I can have the express edition upgrade/apply patches so that it will be on 10.2.0.2? Or is there anything I can try to import the tablespace from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.1?
    Thanks,

Due to no patchset for XE edition, I try to import the tablespace to another LINUX server with EE edition, which is 10.2.0.2, I thought I should be ok for this time. But I get the same error again. I have applied the patches set for 10.2.0.2, and I have followed all steps in the poststeps. Do I miss somthing? Why it still mention it's 10.2.0.1. • JAI extension automatic installation fail with Java Plug-in 1.4.1_01

    Hi everyone,
i have a html page with an applet that use the JAI (Java Advanced imaging) extension. I used to run it with java plug-in 1.3.1_03.
When the JAI extension was not installed, it was automatically downloaded and installed. I use the sun "Signed Auto Installation for browsers" jar available on the JAI download page.
But with Java Plug-in 1.4.1_01, it seems to have a security problem. Is the "Signed Auto Installation for browsers" only java plug-in 1.3 compatible or is there a way to install it with 1.4.
If anyone has encountered the same problem with another extension, it could help me to know how to have it installed automatically with java Plug-in 1.4.
I tested on IE 4 and 6 on Windows NT4 & IE 6 on Windows 2000, and i have the same results.
    Thanks

  • Trying to run in FPGA mode with VCS Diag fails

I am trying to run OpenSparc with vcs in FPGA mode. The command I used is
    sims -sim_type=vcs -group=thread1_mini -novera_build -novera_run -max_cycle= 50000 -config_rtl=FPGA_SYN -config_rtl=FPGA_SYN_NO_SPU -config_rtl=FPGA_SYN_1THREAD
The Diag I used is bypass_win.s The status.log shows it failed
When I remove FPGA option the diag pass.
Can anyone please let me know which diag I should use in FPGA mode.
I wanted to remove latches so I use FPGA_SYN. Also, is it necessary to run FPGA using script rsynp.
Can I synthesize the design other than Simplicity.

  • Fail the message in PI, on validation failure

    Hi all,
We are working on PI 7.4 SP07 single stack system.
For a particular interface (File(FTP)-->PI-->ABAP Proxy) the requirement is to fail the message in PI and raise an alert if the value for a specific field (say BatchID) in the source file is maintained in lower case.
What is the best way to achieve this requirement.
Please share your thoughts and inputs.
    regards,
    Younus

    Hi Yonus,
I would recommend the below option rather than failing the mapping in PI .
Check the condition and notify to Business for condition failure .So that they can correct the file and places again
1)Use the Enhanced Receiver Determination and check the condition based on this open either mail or ECC Business component/Business system.
2)Create 2 mappings one for mail and other for ABAP Proxy communication.
There is also an option to fail @ mapping level by throwing a custom exception .
    throw new StreamTransformationException("$$$BatchID field value is in lower case$$$");
    Regards
    Venkat

  • Failed Messages

    Hi,
What are the options of handling failed messages that sit in the message monitor? These are IDoc messages coming from SAP and are processed by the 'Transaction' type. I prefer the failed messages to automatically reprocess. Please advise. Thanks.
    Regards,
    V M.

    V M,
if you feed the Query Message action like Christian said, then you should configure a repeater with the string output of the action:
    getMessageList.BufferListDoc{/JCOMessageList/JCOMessage}
Inside the repeater use a Read Message action and link the Message ID which comes from the repeater to the Read Message property "MessageId":
    forAllMessages.Output{/JCOMessage/MessageId}
If there are no messages found, the repeater will not execute and there will be no error.

  • Clean install mavericks failed. No bootable USB drive either. Help please.

HI guys I really would appreciate some help here.
i Saw on apples site how to do a clean install of mavericks. In disk utilities I erased my osx drive and began The download of a fresh copy. I didn't back up my files as I was going to manually install my applications etc. When the download finished and it tried installing mavericks it failed, I restarted as it was the only option and it failed again. I ran disk repair and it said everything was ok. I only have Internet access at the cafe near where I live so only have it during the day. I checked online with my iphone for similar troubles and found everyone mentioning making a bootable USB version but... As it did not say that on the mac website where it showed how to erase and install a clean copy I never made a USB copy. I'm left with my macbook not able to install my os. Please can anyone advise, I have no way of getting to a Genius Bar and there is no mac service repairs in my area.
I'm now using Internet recovery. I rebooted with option-command-r. A globe came up, I am now downloading mountain lion. Is this the right procedure now or am I wasting time as I only have a few hours left in the cafe with my macbook on? Thank you in advance.
    Gregg
ps- I had mavericks up and running on my previously but wanted to  basically clean my system of preference files, unwanted folders etc etc. Lesson learnt. I just need advice on the steps I must take to have my system  working again .

What you are doing now is the correct procedure, install the Mac OS X that came on the machine.  From that you can have a working machine and then install Mavericks again.
Building a bootable/installable Mac OS X on a USB drive is time consuming and not necessary for most users...it is not difficult but it takes time and precision to get it right.  Perhaps something to do in the future when you have the time.
Using a coffee shop internet connection is not a good idea for installing Mac OS X...you need a good, solid internet connection to do that, one that is reliable and offers sufficient bandwidth.  But you don't have much option at this point since you say an Apple store and the genius bar is not available to you.
Finish the Mountain Lion install, reinstall your applications, get the Mac up and running well, then do the Mavericks install on top of the Mac OS X you have.
You would do well to get an external hard drive, great ones are available from OWC http://www.macsales.com and make a good backup of your entire system as soon as you are finished installing Mac OS X.  If you make the external a bootable copy, such as by cloning with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper, you can always have a working computer...life will be much easier with that.
Good luck building Mountain Lion, and get the system running again before upgrading Mac OS X

  • Solution for "Continue on fail"?

In think this issue exists not only for my specific example: whenever an action fails, Automator stops. End of workflow. This might be ok if there is a logic error in the workflow but if not, this can be really frustrating...
What I'm trying to do is download images from webgalleries which works perfectly fine in the beginning of the workflow, at least to the point where it comes to actually downloading the files. Since it happens every now and then that links to images are broken or an image is corrupted, Automator will start downloading the images until one of those broken links comes up and then Automator stops, reporting an error "Could not download suchandsuch.jpg: file doesn't exist (-1) occurred in Download URLs".
I don't care if there's one or two images that it can't download but at least it should download the rest of them regardless and continue with the workflow. In that manner, Automator acts like the Finder... if you copy 5000 files from one place to another and file 21 has an error, it will stop right there and not care about if the rest of the 4979 files were ok. So an option "Continue on fail" would be helpful but there isn't any.... :o(
Any suggestions on how to get around this?
    PMG5 Dual 2GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Replace the Download URLs action with the following AppleScript action:
    on run {input, parameters}
    repeat with this_item in input
    tell application "URL Access Scripting"
set new_path to (reverse of every item of this_item as string)
    set new_path to (items 1 thru ((offset of "/" in new_path) - 1) of new_path)
set new_path to reverse of new_path as string
    try
    download this_item to ("path:to:download:folder:" & new_path)
    end try
    end tell
    end repeat
    end run
