November is Over December is here and what a surprise still no FROYO

I am still surprised at the lack of concern for current customers.  How hard is it to provide an update that everyone else already has.  Is a verizon representative ready to talk about why the Froyo release has yet to happen?  Or maybe even give us a date of when we will finally get this almost obsolete update.

I understand that verizon has to force their bloatware on us but that still does not explain why they are behind the other carriers who have had their updates for several months.  Not only that but if they are this late on 2.2 how late will they be with 2.3 which is almost ready. 
As for the other people who think that we should just be patient and the update will come think about this way.  We are roped into a two year contract and if the update is 6 months behind we have already been forced to keep a phone that does not do what it is advertised to do.  The least they could do is send a message stating that they realize how behind they are and hope to make it up in some way.  For example why am i paying for unlimited internet when my fascinate will not even view the majority of videos online due to the lack of flash 10.1?  I am sure Big Verizon could careless about me paying for unlimited internet and not getting full use out of it as they are the same company that charges you 50+ dollars for unlimited home internet, then 30 for unlimited cell internet which is not really unlimited as they still charge you for tethering.  Maybe I am confused as to what unlimited means but it does not mean unlimited if I can not tether my own internet for my personal use.

    First, make sure the app is in Child Mode which restricts much of what would be inappropriate for young children. That may answer your objections.

  • How Do I Determine What WUDFHost.exe is Doing and What It's Associated With?

    Since around the time of the installation of Win 8.1 Update 1 I've had a couple of new WUDFHost.exe processes that run all the time.  Today I saw one of them accessing data on a backup volume, which I assume was some kind of maintenance
    activity - but I'm not sure.
    My question is this:
    How can I determine what these processes are doing, why they're here, and what they're associated with (i.e., what feature or device has caused them to be running).  I don't suspect them of causing a specific problem - my system's running fine
    - but I want to know why they're running.
    Process Explorer shows them to have been started by these two command lines:

    My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

    The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

  • Used over $100,000 in credit, here is what happened to my score

    Inspired by the guy that talked about how mortgage troubles affected his score (I think he lost his house), I felt inspired to talk about the largely inconsequential wild fluctuations in my credit score In January I went from about 0% utilization to about 65% utilization. The average age of my accounts are 2 years and 5 months. It's just an average. This hasn't all reported yet, credit karma currently reports 55% utilization. My Vantage Scores went from 770 down to 554 in 30 days. This is a 216 point drop. Vantage Score you laugh, well I also have opened some accounts as part of this process and have therefore received the scores the lender actually pulled during my credit evaluations, which I have to assume are FICO, these so far have been 663 or so.  It is also entirely probable that the lenders have scores that were last updated a few months ago, so I get to assume the worst. The actual cash I pulled from the cards is sitting tight as it is all 0% interest balance transfers. I'll let you all know if Macy's (my lowest limit card) gets spooked and gives me another credit limit decrease, hysterical. I haven't updated my signature in a while, those limits are not accurate any longer. The point is to let you guys know which one of these creditors can actually make good on the credit they've extended to you, and which ones will likely pull the lifeline when you actually need it  the theory is that a lot of you guys are wasting your time here trying to get above-average credit, or maybe even to the place where I am with limits, so we'll see if it's worth it!

I suspect if I started to revolve elsewhere my spend ability woulld drastically shrink. It's an interesting experiment you are doing because it will statistically look a lot like bust out fraud and a lot of large banks are monitoring those metrics. There is a non-significant possibility you could see major AA. Hopefully you will get csr/underwriter calls first rather than a shoot first response.

    What exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean one thumbnail only was visible in the iPhoto Window? What? This is the sort of thing that's fixed easily by an iPhoto rebuild. Gives us some more information and we may be able to help with that - iPhoto version and a description of exactly what's happening will help.

    A couple of thoughts here: If the iPhoto Library is corrupted and Aperture is importing from this damaged Library well you can't expect that it will all go easily, can you?
    The iPhoto Library contains two versions of edited photos. Are you sure that you're not seeing the second version?

    Close ... before going for a specific Cisco app ... lets find out some details:
    Host we need more details:
    What is your server environment (Windows Server, or Mac OS X Server, or Linux)?
    What security is implemented in your environment - as what is restricted (RDP for all or specifc credentials on all machines? Are you part of local admin group to the server you wish to connect)?
    Does your environment Support CISCO IPSec connection? If so use Settings> VPN and IPSec tab to enter VPN details, if not then go with above suggestion. IF your restricted to RSA then either built in VPN settings or 3rd party app for RSA would suffice.
    Finally, there are many RDP applications out there I use "Mocha RDP Light" (free minimal ads when launched not when connecting).

    Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try the reset (both buttons) and restore as necessary.

    You will have to contact orange to get your phone unlock.  ONly the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock the phone.
