How to resize a uploaded image in stage

Hi everybody, I am a very fresh guy in AS 3.0 and I am a novoice in this script.
I have got a task to create project of dynamic banner generation.
here I need to upload a image file. Then I need to handle the resize, rotate and alpha property to the image loaded dynamically.
then I need to add text fields for adding text and need to change the font type, size, rotate, alpha for the text. you can add 1 or more text.
then similarly i needed to draw shapes and need to handle the alpha, resizing, color property for the drawn shapes.
After all the thing are done in the stage, then i have a publish button. when clicked this must create a swf file of the size of the bg image.
I know that this is a big task, but helps will make this thro' . ( I also need suggestions that how to start it along)

When I right-click on the image I could only save the image in .bmp format. But I have found out that my browser (or pc) causes this problem. I have downloaded the files on a other PC. I Think this problem is related to my export problem (exporting application problem

I have gone through the Oracle OLM User guide, its bit complicate to understand. so if you guys have any documents to go through OLM module (User guide, Setup Doc), please forward.

Hi Partha,
In order to use and work with OLM you need a baseline of skills.
Primarily you get these skills by reading the User Manual. If this is not enough I suggest you seek out formal training.

Need a sql statement to remove data?

Hello,
I need your help regarding my query.
I need to put a sql statement in a shell script that will delete records from a table that is > than 3 months old and if not, do nothing.
The table has a DATE column as shown below:
LOG_ID NOT NULL VARCHAR2(8)
LOG_TYPE NOT NULL VARCHAR2(8)
LOG_MESSAGE NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255)
LOG_DATE DATE

Day after tomorrow, I will start learning JAVA and JAVA Scripting Using Visual JAVA. Before, I start, i want to have a sample code, if any provide me with a code for the following question; i will keep it in my dairy and i will write with his /her screen name and email address as his/her gift for me.
My question is:
If i give 10 people names and their marks using JAVA in Visual Java, then when i give a input of name it provide me with the marks and if i type the marks it provide me with the names who scored that marks

And starting to learn java using an specific IDE, especially one that looks like it's kean on generating alledgedly WYSIWYG forms is a bad idea too. Your first java programs should be written using a simple text editor and the command line compiler and JVM.
Start, as tradition demands, with a program that prints "Hello World". Type it in to notepad or whatever, complie it with javac and run it with Java.

Pen tool Drawing & Bucket Filling Problem

Hello, i am a newbie and novoice/new learner to flash CS4
I come across a problem when i follow the book "classroom in a book series" the Flash CS4 one (Red cover book) Chapter 2
Q.1
I try to draw straight lines or curves but i found i still cannot manage how to use PEN TOOL
How can i draw straight line? Also how can i draw absolute vertical or horizontal line with some special combination key like CTRL or SHIFT
i tried guessing SHIFT or CTRL while using PEN TOOL but no help
How can i draw curve?
i know it depends somehow on whether i hold my click for a new anchor point???
Any tutorial which is clear and easy for new comer for fully understanding for PEN TOOL.(Currently i try reading pdf reference from ADOBE Web site and google search but did not make myself understand.)

I cannot use bucket filling a shape draw by PEN TOOL(i already search google sites but cannot find one with satisfied causes for this FILLING Problems)

Tools i used are PEN TOOL drawing a shape first then a BUCKET for filling color.

However,i go there and did a experiment MYSELF.
first i draw an oval with black color stroke and no color for its fill.
then i use an eraser tool to make that little gap!
Q.3 (A NEW QUESTION)
however i cannot fill the oval with even very SMALL GAP like this jpeg shown below:(PLEASE click below to ENLARGE it)
I then find i cannot use bucket fill AGAIN...
For the first question, i try to use the pen tool for 6 hours practicing....and reading the official manual i find there are multiple modes of pen tool
so COMPLEX!! which is not mentioned in my red cover book from Adobe Press.(the book i mentioned in 1st post maybe have some more explaination later?)
I generally can click or drag to make some straight or curve now like 3rd floor reply.(Subselection tool is helpful when adjusting the curve or line)

Disk Warrior with PC???

Good Morning,
I hope somebody can help!
I work in tech support for PC however I couldn't be any more of a mac novoice. My sisters Macbook Pro will not boot and I have gone through various diagnosis tips from various forums online.
The problem is with the following
'Keys Out of Order'
'Rebuilding B-tree'
The Volume HD could not be reapired'
The built in disk utility advises that I need to back up files and reformat/reinstall OS. The whole problem is that my sister has STUPIDLY never backed anything up and has files on there that are ridiciously important to her.
I have found a download for 'Disk Warrior' which seems like it could be a saviour, however the only other computer I have is my Windows Laptop and an extrernal hard drive...is there anything I can do at all??

How old is this Mac and what version of OS X is on it?

Maybe, but as the Mac won't boot this requires that you remove the drive and access it externally from this Mac (with a new drive fitted) or some other Mac.
She has an appt at the genius bar at apple on Monday..will they just say the same thing?
Again I can't tell what they will say, but they might. I do know that without a backup I would not let the Genius bar work on the machine (if the data is important).
Answer question 1 and we will look at some alternatives, but the version of OSX has a part to play in what can be done, so which version is it?

Generate XML without header tags in Oracle 9i Release1

I am a novoice to Oracle. I am using Oracle 9i Release 1.
I have a table "Attribution" with the following structure.
SQL> Desc attribution

The inserted values in this table are:

I want to generate an xml without the XML declaration row i.e. <?xml version="1.0"?>
Also I do not want the <Rowset> tags in my xml.
My generated XML should be like:

Essentially my requirement was to concatinate three sets of xml strings. The application which is parsing my xml requires the XML in the following format:
XMLStringA + GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery + XMLStringB
where XMLStringA and XMLStringB are static XML strings and do not change.
I have generated GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery as from the following query.

GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery CLOB;

I can do substring operations on GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery to fetch my required XML and then concatinate it with XMLStringA and XMLStringB,

but was keen to know if there is any way by which I can generate GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery without the <?xml version="1.0"?> row and <ROWSET> tags??

KajActually, they are exactly the same. You can download a bundle that contains the JDK and Netbeans, but I wouldn't consider Netbeans to be part of the JDK.
Sun has been pretty bad about naming things for years. While they are not exactly the same thing, SunOS 5.8, Solaris 2.8, and Solaris 8 all basically mean the same thing.
The J2SDK/JDK distinction is just one of those lingo things that you pick up on at some point.
