NOW can I sync from two sources?
I keep my itunes library on my iMac (40GB, most purchased from iTunes), and my iphoto library on my Macbook pro. With Original Apple TV, according to local Apple store you can't automatically sync form two different sources. Anyone know if the new update will allow this? Really would love to have an Apple TV if it will always keep my current iTunes music/movies from my imac and always keep current photos from my iMac.
Anyone know? Thank you.
It will only sync from one computer, why not sync your photos and stream your music and everything else from your imac, exactly what I do except I do it from one mac.

I suggest to copy all your files in your external drive to your Macbook and reformat that external drive to Mac OS Extended Journaled or exFat.
Once you've done that - then copy all the files back to your external drive.
Do not format your external drive if you haven't copied whats in your external drive. You'll lose everything. -

I got a new computer and now iTunes is telling me it can't sync with two computers, it's telling me it will erase what's on my iPad and re-sync. Will I lose my iPad data that's on it?
No - not at all. Look at that one app that I gave you the link for. That is supposed to transfer all of the iPad content to the new computer. I have no idea how much it costs, but it's worth a look. There are other out there as well. Google "apps to transfer iPad content to computer" or something to that effect. These apps claim to transfer everything.
Several things to remember - you can still transfer all of the iTunesicon tent that you purchased by using the Transfer Purchases option in iTunes. Just remember to turn off auto syncing before you do it. You will also have to authorize your new computer to transfer the purchase if you haven't done so already. From the iTunes menu on your computer go to Store> Authorize this computer.
Plus any apps or music that you have bought can be downloaded again at no charge with the cloud feature in the latest iPad iOS.
EDIT - I see that you did transfer the purchases. Look at one of those apps that I described and they should be able to get you set up. You should also invest in an external hardrive for backing up all of your computer content ... don't want this to happen again!

can I purchase from two different stores ie store in New Zealand and Store in Australia and how do I sync updates on applications purchased from either store? Do I have to switch ID's in my settings each time or is there an easier way. The trouble is I set up my appleid in new Zealand and so all icloud and itunes and app stores are under New Zealand Apple ID I have since moved to Australia. Im a real beginner at this stuff so bare with me pse.
I'm in the same boat as you -- except that I manage both a school lab (volunteer job) and macs in the enterprise (pay job). What I think we need is the Education Volume Purchasing Program

Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software. (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.) The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance. I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers. When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install. We did! But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them! -
Need to merge similar charecterstics comming from two sources

I have a requirement to upload data into BI from Two sources. one from ECC is business Sellout history data and from flat file is market sellout history data. Now one source has fields
CALMONTH, Market, Sales Organization, Segment, Super Model, Model, Country Standard, Model Year, ZCOL, Power, Material No., Location, APO Version, Sell-Out History, UNIT
Other source has fields
Market,Model,Type Of Model.
I need to upload this data to BI and merge Market, Model, as these fields are common in both the sources and display Type of model for the respective Market and Model.
Can any one advice me how to proceed desgining this.

An alternative to the above solutions, Create two DSOs and fields of the dsos should like below :
DSO ECC :
CALMONTH, Market, Sales Organization, Segment, Super Model, Model, Country Standard, Model Year, ZCOL, Power, Material No., Location, APO Version, Sell-Out History, UNIT, Type of Model
Bold fields exists in DSO Flat file fields as well.
DSO Flat file :
Market,Model,Type Of Model.
1. First load the data to the flat file DSO.
2. while loading data to the DSO ECC you can populate the model type by writing an end routine to look up flat file DSO to find out the type of model using the condition DSO ECC- market = DSO-Flatfile- market & DSO ECC-Model = DSO-flatfile-Model.
DSO ECC will have the merged data and DSO Flat file is used as a look up table in the end routine of the transformation.
Also note that you can also cube in place DSO ECC if you dont want to stage data.

I work for Office Depot, in the tech department. Basically, one of our associates was supposed to do a data backup, and re-install Windows 7, then transfer the files back. He used Windows Easy Transfer and compacted everything into a 163 GB file.
Now comes the hard part. When we try to put it back on his computer ((drag-and-drop to the desktop) which has been wiped back to factory settings using the recovery partition), it stops at 79.5 GB remaining (you know how it doesn't give you a % of completion,
it just shows how many GB are remaining) and then says "Can't read from the source file or disk" and gives you an option to try again, or cancel. It gets hung up on the same point each time.
Normally, this wouldn't be a huge issue, but the contents on the drive are his wife's architect blueprints and interior design stuff, along with wedding photos, etc, which are the only copies they have. On top of those, they have court documents and other
important files that we are unable to access now.
I wasn't involved with this transfer, so I'm trying to clean up the mess as best I can. I remembered that the customer's wife was Russian, and had some files typed with a Russian keyboard, so on and so forth. I wonder if that's the issue? If not, I really
have no idea how to manually extract things from a ".mig" file, or how to diagnose what area is potentially corrupted.
In light of this situation, we tried using "Recuva" to recover the files post-wipe, but everything was corrupted or unable to be opened, and it also extracted and recovered all of the "useless" photos, such as the skype logos, up and
down arrows for browsers, etc (it was 160,000+ photos).
Trying to avoid a potential lawsuit, unhappy customer, and costing the company lots of money to see if professionals can get into this external hard drive.
Other relevant information:
We used a Toshiba 500 GB (465 GB) external hard drive.
Customer's computer is an HP Pavilion P6000 Series (Model No. p6520y) running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.
Any other information that is needed can be provided, thanks in advance, and hopefully we can find a solution to this issue quickly!

I knew what you meant though, somewhat. When I search through the drives after clicking yes (Has windows easy transfer
already saved your files blah blah blah) I click on the transfer file and it says "Windows Easy Transfer could not open the file".
Rather than drag-and-drop the file to the desktop, I now tried to double-click on the file itself while it was plugged
into the computer. It opened, and it started transferring until it was about 70% completed, and then an error popped up saying "WET can't open the easy transfer file, make sure your USB device is plugged in or check your internet connection".
I checked, and the USB hard drive's light wasn't on. Now, I unplug it and plug it back in, and the light comes back on,
so I click Retry, and it resets the bar back to nothing and says "Transfer time: 1 minute".
Rather than continue trying, I clicked "Cancel" instead of Retry, and it says "Your transfer did not complete successfully."
It says to click "view report" for more information, but there's no "view report button".
At the moment, I am scanning the External Drive for bad sectors using the check disk tool in properties. It's frozen
at "0 USN bytes processed". -

I am using ADOBE Reader X ThanksPat; using Windows you can create a "PDF printer" which is a virtual device that you can select when you want to create an Adobe PDF file from anything you normally would print to hardcopy. As an example if I were on a webpage article that spanned two or three pages so a screen capture wouldn't really work, if I had a "Adobe PDF Printer" I would select that as my default printer and then print the webpage article. Instead of the webpage article going to a real printer and producing hardcopy, the Adobe PDF printer would ask me for a file name and then "print" the file by creating an Adobe PDF file. It is possible that you are seeing the consequences of LabVIEW compiling code written in parallel. More specifically, if you have code in parallel (not connected by dataflow, but in the same block diagram) LabVIEW will split execution time between those parts of your code. Previously you were likely manually starting two separate programs, which inherently adds a delay between the start of the programs, allowing the first program to get sufficiently far in its execution; we could be seeing the consequence of this. It would help if you could be more specific about the details of your setup and code (such as 1. which instruments are connected to which ports? 2. are you writing a command to your instruments and then receiving data as a response? 3. do you rec
eive any errors? 4. if you do receive errors, which errors do you see and where in your code do you first see them?).
Repost with some more information (perhaps a screen shot or your code) and we can get a more definitive answer!

CSM 12 hour stickiness from two source addresses
We have an environment where the traffic only originates from two source IP addresses (shared port forwarders). The server group need a 12 hour stickiness window for the Citrix sessions to be hitting the same server.
If we have two servers, ServerA and ServerB, this is the problem.
When maintenance is performed on ServerA. All traffic is sent to ServerB. When ServerA is back in operation the traffic does not use this server due to the sticky timeout of 720 minutes.
Is there anyway to clear the connections from one source on the CSM so the processing of packets will spread the load between the two servers?

clearing the connections without clearing the sticky table is useless. Because the sticky entry will simply forward the new connections back to the same server.
Also, there is no way to clear a particular sticky entry.
Finally, I think the solution for you would be to create static sticky entry.
You can force a client ip to go to a specific server.
If the server is down for maintenance, the CSM will simply select another one but will go back to the initial one if available.
To configure static entries, use the following commands
sticky 66 netmask /32
static client source x.x.x.x real x.x.x.x

We've had our MBP for a year, set up with my Apple ID. Got an iPad recently and set up with husband's Apple ID. Would now like to sync the two and set up iCloud/PhotoStream between the two. How to do since have two different Apple IDs? Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, why did you elect to use a different id?. That seems to always make things difficult. If you have not had the pad for long, or have not bought a lot of stuff Nader the new id, you might want to think about erasing all content, turn off find my phone, wiping the pad and starting over.
You can sync 2 different ids ( at least move pictures, books and music back and forth) if you are syncing through I tunes on your computer, but I don't think you can cross feed I cloud streams. -
My Ipod was originally set up as a sub-account of a firends. After that, I got an Iphone and set up my own Apple account. I just got a new Ipod, and now can't sync my old Itunes to it. Can anyone help me? I'm even OK with deleting the old Itunes account, and staring over. I just really want to get the new Ipod under my own account, and be able to use it...
There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend? -

I just updated to ios5 but now can't sync because it's telling me my "other" section in the overview has grown to 10.2gig?! What does that "other" section in the overview include and how can I reduce it to get my phone to sync??
Thanks for the help. The restore seems to have solved the problem. I had a bit of a panic attack when things started going haywire and the Apple 'Support' told me to call back during business hours!

In Acro 7, you can combine PDF files into 1 file (Document-Insert). When the PDF is created in Designer, these choices are greyed out. Is there a work around?
