Now have new lap top but cannot get thunderbird to work

i have the inbox/ and all folders with all old information from last year but no incoming or out going mail just the stored items. cannot get thunderbird to work passwords cleared but nothing working, have been using providers web site but would like to use t/bird again!

Hi! I've got CS3 Design Standard - the actual disks and Software License certificate. It was installed on my laptop which crashed and could therefore not be uninstalled. Maybe this can help someone else... I simply had to properly uninstall CS3 and reinstall it again after that. I think that sorted it! I also remember having a similar issue with Macs at work a couple of years back. Not sure whether the same applies to CS5/CS6. Here's a link on how to properly uninstall CS3 on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS. I'm on OS X 10.9.2 but it worked just fine. Remove Creative Suite 3 and CS3 products

Did you install the iDVD Extra Content on the iLife 09 disk when you installed iDVD?
Check in your HD/Library/Application Support folder for an iDVD folder. In it will be the iDVD themes.
Make sure that folder is selected in iDVD's Advance preference pane.
Also run Disk Utiltiy to repair disk permissions.

I've looked at the IP adress, and it started with 169.
This means you aren't actually connected to the Internet; only to your router.
An easy first attempt at a fix is to turn your router off and then on again.

See for yourself which version of ACR is needed for that camera’s RAW files

then check your version (Photoshop > About Plug-In > Camera Raw).
Your version of Photoshop does not support that version of ACR.
You could use the free DNG Converter.

The reason your applications do not work in Lion/Mountain Lion is that they were written for the older PowerPC CPU that all Macs used up to 2006. When Apple made its transition to the Intel CPU, they licensed software that they included in all versions of OS X (from Tiger to Leopard and optionally, Snow Leopard) called Rosetta.
Rosetta miraculously allows PowerPC applications to work on the Intel processor transparently; you do not know it is even present.
The problem is that after 6 years of the transition, Apple's license to use the underlying software expired for OS X Lion and all version thereafter (and it is doubtful that the current owner of the software, IBM, would relicense it, even if Apple were inclined to do so).
So you do not have to accept recriminations from others for previously using Rosetta without even knowing it was present and running!
So for those of use that need to upgrade to Lion/Mountain Lion, I have offered the option to install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7:

If you are unable or unwilling to update your inventory of PowerPC software, this solution offers you an alternative for not more than the $29 cost of Snow Leopard and $79 cost of Parallels (cheaper via internet sources).
