Now Logic won't open. What should I do?

I had two versions of Logic Pro on my laptop (Logic Pro 8 and Logic Pro), so I deleted the older version. Now Logic won't open. What should I do? I also upgraded to Mavericks lastnight, but it worked fine until just now.

Restore what you deleted from your backups? Use Time Machine to go back to a time prior to the problem occuring? (You do make backups yes? If not, now you know why you should start doing so!)
Failing that,
Launch Logic Pro and then as soon as you have cliced on the icon, hold down the option key and keep holding it down until eitehr you see a dialog box or Lagic completes loading...
This stops Logic loading the last project or template you used... in case the project or template has become corrupted in some way...
If that doesn't work.. do the same again but this time hold down the Control Key....
This makes logic start without loading Audio so you can then go in and select the internal Audio in Logics Audo preferences in casse its a problem with some drivers or Core Audio itself...

I saw an old itunes setup in one of my folders. However, it was an old version, so it won't open. So now, as i'm typing this, i'm downloading the latest itunes in hopes of getting it right. You can install it again from mac OS dvd, there's a folder named "optional installs" or "additional installs"with a installer in there, simply pen that installer and select from the list QuickTime and that's all

I bought Photoshop Elements 3.0 in early 2008 and used it ever since. It was working pretty well until today when I wanted to open it and received this message:

I have used it on an iMac intel 10.5.8 and now passed it on my macbook pro 10.6.8 and had no problem using it. Until it did this today.

Sorry, it's done. PSE 3 really stopped being compatible with OS X in 10.5, but it would kind of work if it was already installed. It's totally incompatible with 10.6. PSE 6 is the oldest version that will work reliably in 10.6.

Itunes won't open; what should I do?

I installed the Multi-plugin file for itunes and afterwards when I tried opening itunes it said "Itunes cannot find RegEnumValueW in the directory MPlugin.dll" or something like that. I ran the installer and clicked "repair or replace damaged or missing files" and I still get the same problem. I was going to delete itunes and do a clean install; but when it says "completely remove itunes" does that mean it gets rid of the the files in my documents/my music/itunes? Because I've spend several hundred dollars on things like songs, movies and music vids in the itunes store and don't want them all deleted. Thanks to anyone that can help!

Maybe: run a search for that plugin whatever.dll and delete it (copy it somehwere else 1st incase it doesn't work) and ensure you delete from the right folder (ie. itunes) incase there are others on your system.

Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

I have experienced a similar error with the iPhone 4S. The new version of iTunes will not let me restore the phone, it must be updated and nothing appears to be happening. Suffice it to say I am not amused. Apple needs to work this out - I had trouble updating to 8.0.2 as well.

I upgraded the OS 10.10.3 and now iPhoto won't open. It says "the version of iPhoto installed on this Mac is not compatible with OS X Yosemite. Download the latest version for free from the Mac App Store." However, when I go to the Mac App Store, there is no iPhoto.
I don't know what version of iPhoto I was running. I believe it was the most recent (9.6)
I also noticed that the iPhoto icon has a circle with a line through it

I have the same issue: updated from OSX 10.10.2 to 10.10.3, which killed iPhoto.
I have v.9.6, but apparently 9.6.1 is needed; I keep all my software updated, but never got an update notification.

Before updating the OS (from 10.10.2 to 10.10.3) I did make a clone on an external HD. I have now booted from that external HD, but nowhere can I find iPhoto 9.6.1, so that I can update.

Now Logic won't open. What should I do?
