Now playing feature in windows messenger no longer works with latest iTunes

I recently updated iTunes to version 7.1.1.5 but now the "Now Playing" feature in windows live messenger no longer works. I had no problem before the update. Any suggestions, as i find this rather annoying

I have gone into the magnifyer settings and made sure everything is set up right and it is all fine.

Full version windows 8.1 not working with pc itunes 11.1.1 64bit

Hello guys.
Not preview but the full released 8.1 pro with media centre (windows system - upgraded by windows app to windows 8.1)
I cannot get apple itunes ver 11.1.1 pc 64bit - to load or run - even after uninstall and reinstall.

Hopefully you've resolved your issue already, but if not, it'll work.

Windows Messenger no longer working

Messenger worked for a month just fine. Now I get one of two errors - failure to connect or command failed. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried pulling the battery out whilst device is turned on?

Is Windows XP no longer working with iTunes?

It looks like others with XP computers are having issues connecting with iTunes store. My error is 0x80096004. I am looking for a solution. Not interested in the mess that is Windows 8 and can't afford a Mac. I don't use my pc for anything other than a storage center for my music and video library and I like to manually add and delete content from my phone and ipad mini.

It sounds like you've done a pretty good job of troubleshooting the issue. I recommend that you call Cisco Small Business Support and see if someone can connect from our lab using a Windows 7 PC. The PCs in our lab do not have any software installed and usually have a fresh install of Windows. I am not sure if they are all up to date as far as Windows updates, but it may help to troubleshoot the issue if we can connect. Yahoo Messenger no longer works with 9.0

Yahoo messenger stopped working after upgrading to Firefox 9.0. Can see contacts, but cannot connect with them by clicking on them. Tried to restore Win XP Pro to two days ago, but Firefox crashes when accessed. Any suggestions.? Do I need to update any plugins, etc? Thanks for your help and support in this matter. Mike

My debit card is no longer working with my iTunes account

I use a debit card for my account. I can't spend what I don't have. Even if I'm 2 cents short of the app's price, iTunes will have a pop-up saying the purchase cannot be completed.
This has saved me many times before, and because of this I can only buy apps when I have the necessary funds on my account.
My most recent purchase was the game "Knightmare Tower" for 99 cents. The purchase went through fine.
About a week later, a couple of apps needed updates. Attempting to update them, however, brought up the log-in prompt. Logging in took me to a screen telling me my card was not accepted for the purchase and to update my info.
Every time I try to update it, it keeps coming up as declined. I cannot download apps, free or not, or update them.
I paid for the app and apparently now it says I owe the 99 cents, which I can't pay anyway because iTunes is no longer accepting my card or allowing me to update my information.
Please help?

You mention that your iPod nano is no longer recognized by iTunes after an update. Reinstalling iTunes is a good troubleshooting step, and if the device still doesn't appear in iTunes, try the following steps next:
Turn off your computer and your iOS device or iPod, then turn them on again.
Check to make sure that you've installed all required updates for your computer.
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might work only to charge those products and might not transmit data. Also, if you're using a third-party case or extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.

If the steps above don't solve it, see the section of the article called "Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed" for some additional steps to try on your PC.

Flash player no longer working with latest update?

I'm running Google Chrome with Windows 7, and after Adobe updated a couple days ago, videos on certain websites (ex. Vudu) stopped working. Netflix and Youtube videos continued to run perfectly fine. Today, youtube continues to work fine, but now Netflix has stopped playing videos as well. Most websites will give an error saying either it couldn't connect, the video doesn't exist, or the video will just sit loading and never play. I know my internet connection is fine, and as previously stated, I have had no problems watching youtube videos. I figure this has to be a problem with, or caused by Adobe since the problems did not occur until immedately after updating to the latest version. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

M3u's no longer work with new itunes

So I built a new rig with windows 7, I previously had xp. And what I had always done for YEARS was to create my playlists in winamp and save them as m3u's. Then all I had to do was open up itunes, go to import playlist and select it and boom all my songs would pop right up and I could add and sync the playlists on my ipod.
However that does not work anymore for me. I create the playlist the same way as always, and then open up itunes and go to add it and the playlists add to the column on the left, but they are completely blank, no songs come up on the main right side to listen to or play and you can't add them to any ipods. These same playlists all work fine in winamp. So what's the deal here?

Clip notes no longer works with latest version of reader.

I understand that a security issue made Adobe upgrade Reader so that clip notes produced in Premiere CS3 would no longer play. This is a known issue. The fix is posted on this forum and it recommends upgrading to Premiere CS4. However I get the same problem as I did in Premiere CS3 i.e. clip notes is blocked by the latest version of Reader This has occured after spending a huge amount on the upgrade. Nice one Adobe what a con! I have tried to contact adobe customer support but I can not speek Punjabe and they can not speek English. What a waste of money!
Does anyone know of a fix.

Yahoo "hyperlink" button is no longer working with latest update 3.6.6 yahoo edition 1.7

I was prompted today to update Firefox to version 3.6.6, Mozilla Firefox Yahoo! Edition Yahook 1.7. After I installed the update, I noticed that in Yahoo! Mail some of the buttons above the message field are no longer active. I'm no longer able to click the "emoticon" icon, the "hyperlink" icon, or any of the remaining alignment buttons to the right of the previously mentioned. Those buttons have become locked, "unclickable" and they no longer show any alt text, therefore I'm unable to tell you the exact names of the buttons. (My main concern is the "hyperlink" icon.)
However, I AM ABLE to click the following buttons:
-Spell check
- Font face
- Font size
- Bold
- Italic
- Underline
- Text color
- Highlight color
(and that's where the working buttons stop)
Any assistance would appreciated.

It's not a hardware issue. I have the exact same circumstance. After being prompted and then updating the software on my shuffle, it quit working. All I get is the green-orange flashing light. iTunes recognizes it's connected, restore works, and syncing works, but the shuffle does not work.

I keep getting the "You need to install or upgrade Flash player..." many times when I try to watch a Flash video. Well, it is already installed.
Also, on those sites where it might work, first I get a greyed screen with a place for me to click. When I click, I sometimes see the video.

Microsoft office 2004 no longer works with latest system software upgrade

Since the latest automatic upgrade to my system OS X 10.6.8 Microsoft Office 2004 will not open work properly. Excel cannot import a text file and Entourage cannot append an attachment. In both cases they go into limbo and I have to force quit. Has anyone else had the problem and is there a fix as I am now without a properly operating email program.

ITunes & Windows Live Messenger (MSN) - Now Playing Feature.

Hey Guys!
I'm a lover of iTunes over Windows Media Player and made the switch approximately a year and a half ago when I bought my iPod. At first I was upset I would lose the "Now Playing" feature of my Messenger and said the pros were far more beneficial. However after a month or two I noticed that suddenly it worked and all was well...
However, Just recently, I believe when I bought an iPod Nano recently and synced it for the first time. It has stopped working and no longer displays no matter what I've tried... now before you go tell me something you'd tell a noobie, Let me first say... Yes, "Show What I'm Listening To" is checked... and I've tried those stupid little work arounds that make no sense such as the option of iTunes not being minimised to the system tray and Messenger being the main window...
Why did it work before and why did it stop, was it the new iPod syncing causing iTunes to malfunction? I've uninstalled and reinstalled both to no fix... Please help!

Okay... I've solved my issue using a work-around. the iTunes code for broadcasting these things definintely needs to be looked into. Its pretty trivial that syncing an iPod that doesn't have the "manual ejection" option ticked could cause a detrimental issue such as this.
As Hinted, to fix the issue. Make sure the iPod is set to be 'manually ejected' once its finished syncing. This means you will effectively have to eject it yourself using iTunes once you've synced it.
The steps I did was...
*1. Set iPod to be 'manually ejected' once synced and hit apply.*
*2. Sync iPod... again, for good measure.*
*3. Restart the computer.*
*4. Start iTunes with the iPod still connected, Sync it again.*
*5. Open Windows Live Messenger and make sure 'show what im listening to' is ticked.*
*6. Play a song in iTunes and see if it worked.*
*Please post if this helped you.* Im sure a few of those steps like re-syncing aren't neccesary, then again it's "Apple" iTunes so it's best to be safe then sorry.
Currently, the wonderful world of iTunes (7.7) is saying I don't have permission to set it as my default audio player, and im the friggin Admin...

The 'now playing' feature has gone from my music app on the iphone 6 after the ios 8.3 update. When i go to continue listening to music after a break it does not allow me to continue where i left of as the 'now playing' feature has gone

I have an iphone 6 ios 8.3, the 'now playing' function seems to have disappeared from my music app so if I listen to an album halfway through then take a break when I go back later the 'now playing' feature is not there and it returns me to the artist page. Can anyone help? its the first time I've had this issue.
