Now that my PSE 11 trial has ended, I can't see any of the photos/albums/layouts I made in PSE 9.

I simply can't afford the upgrade at this time, but I did a lot of stuff during the month I used the trial and don't want to lose it all!

In E11, one can't open Elements Organizer too after the trial has expired.

Hi guys, I was importing about 5000 photos from my phone onto my computer. it said the import was successful but did i want to delete or keep the photos on the original device. I opted to delete photos. The photos started to count down as they deleted and the computer said "finishing import". Once it had deleted down to about 600 photos iphoto simply disappeared, and a message popped up to say it had crashed. I opted to reopen iphoto and saw that not one of the photos had imported! Not only that but now all the photos have been deleted from my phone. I'm really upset if i've lost the last year of photos/ videos....does anyone know what has happened/ if i can recover them?

Not sure where you got those ideas - simply import your photos and keep the rather than deleting - then after a successful import and at least one back up cycle you can format the card if you want or you can do what I do and keep the photos moving to a new card when that one is full giving you yet another backup - if problems occurs then trouble shoot them - no need to trouble shoot if there is no problem
ad personally I find removing the card and plugging it into my card reader is faster and easier than finding the USB cable and hooking it up, turning on the camera, verifying that tty e battery is charged, etc - and it eliminates a point of failure in the USB cable and the chance of the camera battery running out - but that is clearly a personal choice
You are overthinking this - it is simple
a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card -- I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos

I've just spent the last three hours importing photos from a portable hard drive. Now I can't see any of the photos I imported instead there is a black/white photo of a palm tree, setting sun and water? HELP!

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with
Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Had to delete and use iPhone app. Messaging is jacked up and my Direct TV app for finding satellites doesn't work. Can I go back to the older operating system. 6.0 *****!

If you select a mailbox, you should get an Edit button (easier to see in landscape mode). Clicking the button will provide you with check circles for the messages. You also get Delete and Move buttons at the bottom. Check the messages you want to move and then navigate to the mailbox you want to drop them into. I think as long as you can navigate to a mailbox you can move the messages to it.
In the Mac Mail application and probably Outlook on the Windows side, you also setup rules to move messages to specific mailboxes. If the mailboxes are stored on the server, then you can have the sorting done on the server and they should appear that way on the iPad. If your later messages do not show up, you may need to have the iPad app pulled down more messages until they are all showing.

Will i lose all my iphone content now that i have upgraded my hard drive and no longer have any of the files in iTunes

i no longer have any of my songs, ringtones, apps, photos etc, on my macbook anymore due to a SSD upgrade. i did not want to back up any files from the old hard drive as some were corrupt and i did not want that to transfer over to my new hard drive so i started from fresh. what i would like to know is, if i now sync my iphone with itunes, am i going to lose all the content on my iphone because there is nothing to sync it with or, will it transfer all the files onto my computer and i will have them again? or is there a way to do that before i sync and lose everything i have gained on the phone?

It's called "iTunes". Connect the phone, but do not sync, when it appears in iTunes choose "transfer purchases..." from the iTunes File menu.

Can I Turn off iMessage in a group text with multiple people with different devices? There's 1 person in the group text that doesn't use iPhone anymore and they can't see any messages that are sent unless we send as regular text individually.

Is there a way to turn off iMessage for a group text that includes multiple people with different non-apple devices? When a message is sent, only the iPhone users can see the iMessage. Those without them cannot see the texts unless we send individual Text Messages or turn off iMessage completely.

No matter what website I am on all of a sudden the page will be covered in black and white lines and I can't see any of the page. What is happening and how do I fix it? It has only started since I loaded Firefox 4 this week.

I am very frustrated because I keep having my pages become covered completely in black and white lines. It has even happened on this page when I tried to use the drop down arrow by 'this happened'. I can sometimes read the page if I click over the area I want to read but this is not common. This has only been happening since I downloaded Firefox 4. I thought this would be a better version but now I am not so sure.

I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.

My apps are invisible, it switches from the iTunes to the Reminder's app. They still work perfectly fine it's just that it's invisible, or at least I can't see it on the screen anymore. The only thing that shows is the name of the app at the bottom.

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. Upgraded to LR 5.6 now can't see any of my photos

I upgraded to LR 5.6 but none of my photos are visible. All I get is a grey box. If I go into develop mode the histogram is displayed but again no photo.

Further to my previous reply. In Lightroom 5.6, if I go into Develop mode the histogram for the photo appears but no photo. I can then open the photo Photoshop CC and my photo is displayed with no problems.
