Nowhere near speed estimated when applied for?

Hi I had infinity fitted yesterday,when i applied on line it stated that the line speed would be capable of 42meg,as of yesterday it was reading 20meg,I know that there is 3 days to let the line settle but it seems that it it is a very large difference between the two speeds! Will the line come upto the 36meg that the engineer said the line would be capable of,im about 150m from the green box at the end of my street.
help please!!!

On the second day you will normally see the highest speed your line can achieve, over the next few days it will lower it and get an error report then after the 10 days it will put you on a realistic IP profile from the data collected over the 10 days.

That happened to me. Two months before closing I had installment loan payout (the last of 48 payments.) I had no choice. Within 2 weeks my fico dropped 12-18 pts across all 3. Luckily I had enough room to take the hit. If your file is shaky, I'd pay it off now if I could and get it out of the way. Cannot upload resume to apply for Apple Campus Representative

Hello all,
When applying for a job on the Apple website, I continually get the error message "Permission Denied. Unable to copy file to './uploads/'"
I'm thinking this is a back-end problem with Apple's servers but I wanted to be certain I wasn't doing something blatantly dumb. I've tried each format supported: PDF, RTF, DOCX, TXT (cannot use Pages format, windows ) Is there anything I could possibly do to get around this and finish my application? I even tried booting to safe-mode with networking but to no avail.
I have also tried Opera, Chrome, Firefox, and *shudder* IE. I think I read somewhere that using a webtoolkit browser disallows some functions on Apples application site. I cannot say if that is true or not, but I certainly have had some trouble.

First, there is no one from Apple on here, we are all fellow users and not Apple employees.
Are you trying to upload a copy of your purchase invoice to buy AppleCare extended warranty coverage? If so, is the file within the limits of your ISP for file size? Most have limits of around 2 MB for transferring.
You could also contact the AppleCare site for your locale from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and see what the problem is if it is on Apple's end.

Broadband nowhere near estimated speed

Infinty 1 estimated speed nowhere near reality

Recently "upgraded" to Infinity 1 with download speed estimated at beteen 22Mb & 32Mb.
Actual speed between 4.5MB and 5MB. This is maximum we will get as advised by engineer on site visit after enquiry.
Do I have grounds to request a reduction in charge as this really isn't that much better than standard BB.
Okay, I live 1.5 miles from the cabinet but surely the estimated speeds should be a bit more accurate.

Take a look at my recent saga with an 'upgrade' to Infinity that not only didn't deliver the promised 13Mbps but was actually slower than the exisiting ADSL installation. I have been promised a contract termination & full refund after a number of weeks some toing & froing plus an engineer visiting & confirming what I had complained about on the day of installation.

I had one idiotic response from BT customer support that 5Mbps was 'acceptable' - not to me it wasn't - not when I had been promised faster. I really hope that OFCOM is finally getting tough with ISPs over-promising & under-delivering. When you sign up there should be a guaranteed speed that is in the contract & if that is not achieved then it would be grounds for termination. As it is all the weael words about 'up to xxMbps' mean 'guaranteed never to exceed xxMbps'. It's like promising a salary of 'up to £100K' then paying only £20K.

No. Safari does not have the option to attach files for uploading other than photos.
Look at iCab Mobile in the App Store. There are other browsers that may do this, but I'm pretty sure that iCab will fill the need.

Photoshop hangs for nearly 15 seconds when using Layer > Group Layers or Layer Palette > Group from Layers commands. NOT on creating new group and creating layers and drag-n-dropping layers into group manually in Layer Palette. Got a UI design file with nearly 800 layers and lot of groups. This doesn't occur in smaller files. Using OS X Mavericks, Photoshop CC 2014.2.2, Mid 2014 15-inch Retina Macbook Pro.
I understand that the solution would be just to cut the file into smaller files and design each UI view in a separate file but that would be painful. And it does not seem to be a very hard task to just group layers.

Does the document also have a lot of layer comps?
And can you post that document or send me a copy of it so we can see exactly why it is hanging?

Problem when apply SAP Bundle Patch for 10.2.0.5

We are trying to apply SAP Bundle Patch (SBP) SAP_102052_201102_SOL64.zip and SAP_102052_201103_SOL64.zip using MOPatch utility. Both MOPatch and OPatch utility have been updated with the latest download from SAP. When applying patch for SAP_102052_201102, most patches went through except for one patch that requires OPatch to be version 10.2.0.5.0. The OPatch version downloaded from SAP is 10.2.0.4.9. Even the OPatch delievered together in the SAP_102052_201102_SOL64.zip file is 10.2.0.4.9.

The file I can see there is generic for ALL operating systems and the name is:
OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip
it seems that the version is 10.2.0.5, not 10.2.0.4.9 as you mentioned.
I have downladed it and look at the README:

I'm not installing it, but it seems that the version is not the same as yours.
Is this the one you have downloaded?
Have you installed it properly? => may be you are running an older one

I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with their imac fans being extremely loud when running at slow speeds? When the computer heats up enough for the fans to run at higher speeds they quiet down. New HD fan was just installed.

I have an imac that I've had for a couple years. The fans have always been loud when running at the slower speeds. When the computer heats up enough for the fans to run at a higher speed the fans quiet down. I had installed SMC fan control after multiple attempts with Apple to get the fan issue resolved. That seemed to keep the fans quiet enough. I've never had a problem with overheating. Recently the fans were becoming loud again even running at the slightly higher speeds so I took it to my local Apple store and they replaced the hard drive fan. I got it back and it's now as loud or louder than ever!! And, now SMC fan control won't "stick." The fans will speed up, but then gradually go back to the lower "loud" levels. I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I'm still dealing with this issue through Apple. Some time after I posted this, I contacted Apple again. They did start a case up for me, as I was experiencing the same behavior on two different machines, with two different versions of Windows.
So far it remains unsolved. I've logged iClouds for Windows on my desktop, which is brand new, then logged for awhile after completely uninstalling Norton Security Suite, depending on the Microsoft security for some time, and finally logged after I uninstalled iCloud for Windows, restarted, installed a clean download, and connected using a completely different test account, which Apple set up for me. None of this made any difference. Looking at the logs, it seems every 10 minutes, iCloudServices.exe creates a new TCP connection to confirm I'm using less than 5GB on iCloud, (which I am by a good margin, using less than 2GB), it seems this connection is not closed, and when the next iteration rolls around 10 minutes later, a new TCP connection is created. I come very close to having 6 TCP connections created per hour, until I restart my computer. This works out to... 6 x 24 = 144/day.
Perhaps the article you posted will shed some further light on this. I'm thinking seeing the state of the connection through netstats, at the least, could help.
For the last week, I've been putting a hold on further logging, as Apple wants me to create a new user account on one of my computers, install iCloud for Windows there, and log it running in the other account. This however basically means I cannot use my computer for a fair number of hours, and I've been busy enough with work the past week that I haven't the time or energy to afford to set this up and run it. I've had need of my computers too much for the past week.
