NPV upstream port not available
I am trying to deploy a new 5108 Chassis and 6120 cluster. But I get and error for the blades "NPV upstream port not available"
I have had the storage team ensure NPIV is avialable on the switch but they are unable to see the WWN and PN on the B side for these servers. the A side is on and available. I just switched ports on the core switch and still get the same error. has anyone ran into this?
License looks good. and NPIV is enabled. I may have to open a case.

Port not available to be added to route group

I have a 2911 (MGCP) with an FXO card. The FXO port is configured and shows as registered but will not show up in the ports list in my route groups so that I can add it. Every other port from my other MGCP gateways shows up fine. Resetting the port and having it re-register did not help. Any ideas?If the port is assigned to a route pattern, it wont be an option available under Route groups and vice versa. I would check depending records on the ports to see where its assigned and change it.

Is there a way to check the availability of the ethernet ports through the aiport utility app? All my wireless devices are working and having internet connectivity, but the only wired device that is connected to an ethernet port an the airport extreme in not connected to the internet. Any suggestions?

GPS Error on F3507g & Windows 7 "The GPS NMEA COM Port is not available" x200
I have an X200 with a WWAN Card 43R153 (Ericsson F3507g) running Window 7.
The WWAN reliably connects to Vodafone but I can't get the GPS to work.
Device manager shows this port Enabled:-
Ericsson E3507G Mobile Broadband MiniCard GPS Port (Com8)
Driver Invogps.sys from Ericsson AB, Version 1.0.0.28 29/09/2008.
Thinkvantage GPS version 2.50 is also installed and Lenovo System Update says everything is up to date.
When I "Turn on GPS" or run 'Lenovs GPS" I get this message:-
The GPS NMEA COM port is not available. You need to check the following things.
- Another GPS application is using the COM port.
- COM ports is disabled. You can enable the COM port in the Device Manager.
Location and Other Sensors shows nothing installed.
I've tried deleting all the drivers and reinstalling but not luck.
Has anyone else had the same problem and found a solution. I can't think of anything else to try.
ThinkPad X200 7459-1P0If you are running a Windows 7 Weather Gadget on your desktop, try shutting it down entirely and see if that changes your GPS "in use" problem.

USB port 1 & 3 not working, BT not available
iMAC 27", Mid 2011
The USB port 1 & 3 (1 is near the firewire port) are not working, also Bluetooth is not available.
I try to reset PRAM and SMC but it didnt change the situation.
When executing Hardware Test (Diagnostics) no errors are found (short and long test). When in the hardware test, all USB ports are working.
AND afterwards when restarting Mavericks the USB port 3 works again - but when I then unplug the mouse, put it to port 4 and back to port 3 it does not work anymore. (I didn't check if the same happens with port 1).
Any suggestions how to fix it?

Yesterday I reinstall Mavericks from scratch (erase hard disk and install OS). Now no bluetooth icon appears in the menu bar - even not in system preferences.
Some further issues I notice but I'm not sure if they are related to the bluetooth issue:
it takes about 60sec. after a reboot/restart until the apple logo appears and the progress indicator is running

"The selected port, COM1, is not available..."
I had a Sony Clie working just fine on my new Dell XPS 400 with Windows XP 2005 Media edition. It died on me and when I went to recharge it, I got a message I'd never gotten before:
"The selected port, COM1, is not available at this time. HotSync Manager will open the port when it becomes available."
I just bought a new Palm Z22 and I'm having the same problem.
The crazy thing is, I HAVE NO COM (SERIAL OR PARALLEL) PORTS ON THIS COMPUTER! Consequently, there is no "Ports" icon in the Device Manager.
I'm totally stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Post relates to: Palm Z22I am having the same problem on both my PCs (HP Laptop and Dell Laptop) using Bluetooth via USB. I can connect with the cable just fine every time. I also successfully HotSynced via Bluetooth the first time.
After shutting down the PCs, the I get the "The selected port, COM X, is not available at this time. HotSync Manager will open the port when it becomes available."
I've gone in to the Microsoft Bluetooth manger and added and deleted ports several times. That hasnt worked.

Remote Connectivity Analyzer opens port 443 successfully but fails.."Net. conn. not available"
Trying to set up a client with external access. I just got their Edge off the domain and in the DMZ, and supposedly the appropriate firewall ports are opened. They have a RP running IIS ARR.
Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer (testconnectivity.Microsoft.com) does the following for three tests:
1. When I do Lync Server Remote Connectivity Test and choose Autodiscover, it is able to open port 443 and it validates the cert. But it says "Operation failed because the network connection was not available".
2. When I do the same Lync Server Remote Connectivity Test and manually enter the Access Edge service FQDN and choose port 5061, it is able to resolve the name in DNS but it then fails testing TCP port 5061 with "The specified port is either blocked,
not listening, or not producing the expected response".
3. When I do the Lync Autodiscover Web Service Remote Connectivity Test, it fails when trying to open port 443 on the Lyncdiscover URL.
So, that seems to indicate to me that port 443 might be open on the Edge but not the Reverse Proxy, since that's where the autodiscover URL points. And it seems 5061 is not open but 443 is on the Edge. What else could I check on the Edge to get
443 working?

BrandonOkay, I can now telnet to lyncdiscover.mydomain.dom on port 443 successfully, and I can telnet to sip.mydomain.com on 5061 successfully.
Now when I do the remote connectivity test:
Using Autodiscover to detect server settings, I get "Operation failed because the network connection was not available". It opens port 443 fine it looks like.
Manually choosing lync.mydomain.com as the FQDN and port 5061, I get "The endpoint was unable to register. See the ErrorCode for specific reason". Response code is 504 and response message is Server Time-out
Doing the Lync Autodiscover Web Service Remote Connectivity Test I get "HTTP 403 error was received because ISA server denied the specified URL".
Looks to me like a rule might not be set right on the firewall if ISA is denying the connection, right?(they are using TMG on a server running Server 2008 as the firewall). I can't ping the reverse proxy from the firewall (but I can ping the Edge).
What else can I check?

Tecra S3: LPT port - EPP mode not available
How Can I change LPT port mode to EPP in Toshiba TECRA S3 ?
In the BIOS settings only ECP and SPP are available, but I have memory programmer that needs to be connected to LPT port working as EPP.
It doesn't work in ECP or SPP.Maybe it's not so simple fact when this facility was implemented in chipset. BIOS is the only limitation.
There are another tools available for another copmuters (it usually means for another chipset) allowing lpt port mode to be temporarily changed to value not available in BIOS.
Does anybody have any information about this type of tools for Toshiba ? -

I got a problem when I try to create a VLAN in a 7613 router. The screen capature like the following:

VLAN(s) are not available in Port Manager
The VLAN is failed to create. The VLAN range which is failed to create is from 1001 - 1060. Is there any expert that meet the similar problem? and what should I do to solve the problem? so that I can create VLAN 1045?

I was reading an old post on CCIE talk about extended range vlans and I learned something new. The post is here:

If a Catalyst switch has any routed ports then it uses an extended vlan as an "internal vlan" for that port. Why? I don't know but it's something to take caution with if you run into any issues.

Have a very recent Lenovo Ideapad Laptop running Windows 8.1. Connected via USB port to HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 frw Color MFP Printer. Was able to print fine nearly 2 weeks ago, but something recently happened - either a new windows or office 2013 update
or perhaps I blew away a certain file by mistake. I can see the printer installed but cannot print to it from anything (Word, Notepad, IE, Firefox etc.). The one thing to note is that usually when I plug or unplug a USB related device, Windows 8.1 recognizes
this and makes a certain chime noise, but with the printer USB cable it never makes that noise - making me think that it never fully recognizes the printer. Also when I select the printer (from within the control panel) and right click for properties (via
admin rights) It never lets me fully connect to it.
I have tried all the usual remedies - remove, install all drivers, reinstall printer, Windows update, start/stop print spooler and all other printer related services, etc. Its really annoying because this printer was working fine nearly 2
weeks ago. Looking for any advice now. Thanks.

I noticed that you had reinstalled the printer. Just a confirmation, when un-install this printer, please check
if this printer still exist in registry. For more details, please refer to following KB.

We are currently implementing a Service Desk Application based on SAP Solution Manager. Therefore we are using the article "Implement an ITIL Employee Service Desk with IC WebClient" of "www.CRMExpertOnline".

The question is that CRMM_ERM_CAT is an application, also a transaction but this is not the name of the associated BSP I think, this belongs to component CRM-PCF more than Solution Manager.

endmethod.Using the search bar, it seems it's a proxy issue, but finding a simple solution did not seem apparent. Have you tried a reboot? To reboot, hold the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds (hold past the swipe to shut down bar, should it appear) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go fo both buttons and your iPad will restart. Hopefully, this will solve the problem......

TF400893: Team Foundation Server services are not available. This is most likely caused by a network error. Please check your connection and try again.
consistently when trying to access TFS2012 Web Access. I'm on the same domain as the server and able to login however as soon as I try and access a query it asks me to log in again and then presents me with the above message.
Any thoughts am trying to get as many ports open as possible however security's pretty tight here.

Built-in ethernet port not working in unibody Mac Mini
Hi,
So ever since I acquired this new mac mini I haven't been able to get it to recognize any devices connected via ethernet. I obviously checked the cables and all is good there. I tried connecting it to another mac, and while the other machine was detecting a device (the mac mini) at the other end of the cable, the mac mini kept saying that the cable is unplugged or the device off.
After several days of having the issue I decided to remove the ethernet service from the network preference pane to set it up again but to my surprise, the built-in ethernet option was not available (I only got airport, firewire, bluetooth DUN, VPN, PPPoE and 6 to 4). At this point I tried removing the networkinterfaces.plist file form the system configuration folder in the system preferences folder to no avail. I then tried to zap the PRAM, NVRAM, reset the SMU, SMC and all that kind of things to get the port recognized by the system but no luck.
When I look at the system profile I get these weird results in Ethernet Cards:

Comparing it to other macs I have It should read "ethernet" rather than that strange pci name on top and the kext name shouldn't read airport but something like AppleIntel and in location it shouldn't direct to the IO80211Family.kext package but rather to the IONetworkingFamily.kext.
So I popped in the system install DVD and fired up System profiler and at that point I didn't even get an "ethernet cards" option in the left side pane. So this is leading me to believe that the hardware is not being recognized at all, so maybe it's damaged. I did replace the HDD with a bigger one and change the RAM modules to bigger ones but I don't think I could have damaged the hardware in these processes, also I don't see how this would affect the ethernet port as it's integrated to Motherboard and didn't messed with it at all (I was very careful, to say the least!).
The last thing to do is reinstalling the system but I don't think it'll help (after seeing that the ethernet port is not even being detected by the install OS) but I need to offload all the data from my internal disk and at the moment I don't have an spare drive to do it.
So, what's the recommendation? A field trip to an Apple Store? Closest one is like 3,000 km from where I am right now, so...
Well, thanks for any pointers, suggestions and help in general.I do not have any answers for you. Yes it appears to be reading what should be an ethernet card as an AirPort card. Have you played around with trying to install another version of Mac OS X other than the version that shipped with the Mac mini? Apple has long told us that we should not install a version of Mac OS X that was older than the shipping version. With the Mid 2010 Mac mini, the Restore DVD has the only version of Snow Leopard that will work with this Mac mini's specific hardware. At least until Apple releases 10.6.5. If you have installed other versions of Mac OS X, then erasing the HDD and installing the OS from the Restore DVD(s) that shipped with the mini may get you back to the point you need to be.
Unfortunately I think that you voided your Apple Warranty when you installed the different HDD. That was always a question in the past when folks wanted to open the former version of Mac minis and upgrade the RAM. But with the 2009 models folks started reporting here in the Apple Discussions that Apple was informing them that they had voided their warranty by opening their Mac mini. This new model made the RAM user upgradable, but the User Manual specifically states on page 43, 54 and 61 that there are no user serviceable parts in the Mid 2010 Mac mini except the memory.
