[nQSError: 14026] Unable to navigate requested expression
Hi,
My BMM diagram is like
D1 --- Fact 1 -- D 2 -- D3 -- Fact 2 -- D4
I am getting navigation error, When I selected the fields from Fact1 and D4.
Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 14026] Unable to navigate requested expression:Fact1 .Flag. Please fix the metadata consistency warnings. (HY000)
SQL Issued: SELECT Fact1. Flag" saw_0, D4. Code saw_1 FROM "Temp" ORDER BY saw_0, saw_1
As there is no join between Fact 1 and D4. I have tried by setting Aggregation level of D4 to Total at Fact 1. But still I am getting same error.
Any suggestions to fix this error?

now when i checked the RPD for this and run the consistency check everything went fine.No warning MSG, No Error, No Best Best Practice.
now i checked the join condition in BMM for the dimension i m using in report and fact.
it's like Fact F is directly Joined with Dim A & Dim B.
now when i checked the Physical join it's like Fact F1 is joined with Dim Aand Dim C , Fact F2 is joined with Dim B and Dim C.
so there is no direct fact table join between Dim A and Dim B.
Fact F1 & Fact F2 goes as MTLS in BMM and creating Fact F, now when i got this error i went to Fact F in BMM and checked the LTS and level of granuality for DIM A and Dim B for Fact F1 and Fact F2 respectively. and it is also set as detail level. and in BMM LTS Fact F1 and Fact F2 is also join with inner join with Dim C. and Dim C's level of granuality is also set in Fact F1 and Fact F2 .
the Columns that i m taking criteria are coimng from Fact F, Dim A, Dim B.
can anyone suggest me what to do in this case????

If I get you correctly,
In BMM
Fact F = (physical F1 + F2)
In Physical:
F1 -> Dim A, Dim C ; F2 -> Dim B,Dim C
So, in your BMM, please make sure that
1. Logical source for physical F1 has 'Detail for Dim A, Dim C' and 'Total for Dim B'
2. Logical source for physical F2 has 'Detail for Dim B , Dim C' and 'Total for Dim A'.
I think this should resolve the issue.

the code: TODATE(Core."Fact - HR - Kostenverbijzondering"."Transaction Amount", Core."Date"."Month")
I did a consistency check en there were no errors.
When i want tot see the result in obiee: i get the following error:

I searched for the solution and found that we need to define an aggregated measure of a dimension table. But I dont know how to do it as I have very less hands-on in OBI Admin Tool. Kindly help me by explaining in detail to solve this issue.

Hi Everyone,
I am getting the error message "Unable to navigate requested expression: " in my "Contracts" subject area when I try to select date fields from two different facts.
My setup is as follows. I have 3 dimensions and 2 facts.
Contract_Start_Date_D -----1-to-many ---> Contract_Costs_F <--many-to-1----Contract_Details_D
and
Employee_Start_Date_D ---1-to-many-----> Contract_Employee_F <---many-to-one---- Contract_Details_D
Both of the date dimensions are aliases of a common DATE_D dimension.
The Contract_Details_D table is common to both fact tables(no alias).
I've created RPD Dimensions objects for all the "D" tables.
The content tab of the LTSs of the facts are as follows:
Contract_Costs_F:
Employee_Start_Date_D --- Highest level
Contract_Detail_D --- lowest level
Contract_Strat_Date_D --- lowest level
Contract_Employee_F:
Employee_Start_Date_D --- lowest level
Contract_Detail_D --- lowest level
Contract_Strat_Date_D --- Highest level
My RPD is consistent, and when ever I select only fields from dimensions which are directly related to a fact, my results come back fine. For example, if I just select contract start date and the contract details, then I am fine.
But when ever I try to cross over the facts, i.e. I try to get a contract start date and an employee start date at the same time, I get the "Unable to navigate requested expression" error.
Is it possible to see these two values in the same report? If so, how can I accomplish this?

AND Time."Year" = evaluate('zmer0002(%1)', date'@{DATE_PROMPT}')
AND Time."Week No" = evaluate('zmer0001(%1)', date'@{DATE_PROMPT}')
where "zmer002" and "zmer001" are stored procedures returning the year and the week number based on a date, respectively
and "@{DATE_PROMPT}" is a presentation variable, from a dashboard prompt
If the presentation variable is replaced by a constant (e.g. '2009-01-01') the error does not occur.
Any ideas?

(nQSError:10018) Access for the requested connection is refused

Good Afternoon!!!
Recently I faced a problem when I tried to view the data of my table in PHYSICAL LAYER
(nQSError:10018) Access for the requested connection is refused
(nQSError: 43037) Invalid Catalog, SupplierSales, specified.
I did check my config file, every thing is proper. Even in NQSERVER log file it is showing that Finished Loading with out error.
Same with the case of Answers. When I tried to login with administrator, it is throwing the same error as in RPD.
I am unable to figure out the problem.Check you System DSN , ODBC > System DSN > AnalyticsWeb
Make sure you have NOT enabled the "Change default repository to" or "Change default catalog to" as SupplierSales in either.

New inst: HP-UX: db2icrt fails: CLP frontend unable to get request handle
We are migrating our installations from the beautiful AIX to ... HP-UX. I am told I will learn to love it, but probably not until they update df to at least 1988 levels.
This is the pilot install. We have never seen this work before (and maybe no-one has...?)
sapinst runs correctly up to the "Create database instance" phase. At that point it dies with the following:
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, command line process, clp_start_bp, probe:3
MESSAGE : CLP frontend unable to get REQUEST handle
DATA #1: Hexdump etc.
DBI1281E: The database manager configuration file could not be read initialized.
No further useful information is provided.
In db2<sid> I have a bunch of dot files (.profile and the like) and the db2_software directory containing the database installation.
During the create database instance phase, I can see that directory sqllib is created, but it is deleted when the phase fails.
There is no litter of any kind in the /db2/<SID> directories, - nothing has been done at all.
I have done the following: <<imagine nice bullets below - they dont seem to be available here>>
checked that the permissions on /tmp and the installation direcctory (redirected by setenv TEMP /usr/sap/install) are 777: they are;
checked the OS parameters with db2osconf - they are good
checked the host name resolution with a perl script - gethostbyname and gethostbyaddr agree.
the ip address, simple hostname and FQDN are on a line in the hosts file
there is no litter from previous installations - this is a clean machine
I could not find any reference to required environment variables (such as LD_LIBRARY_PATH) in the install guide or the install note - so I have not set any.
I have been hacking away at this for days. I have put in a call to SAP, who will get back to me after dark (of course...)
This seems to be a massively popular problem, and the helpful error message ("Sorry, Sport, just can't bring myself to do it") seems to have people jumping from tall buildings and in front of busses all over Google-world. Furthermore there also seems to be a near-infinite number of possible causes and none of them seem to apply here.
H-PUX version is 11.31. DB2 is 9V5 patch 4. sapinst is latest available. Weekend is fading fast...

No need to apologise for assisting, Paul, but I have dealt with most of these.
The host file contains the unqualified and fully qualified hostnames, on the same line, unqualified first.
I am logging in as root (because there were no other users, and I'm old school, from when everyone logged on as root to do everything.
There is no instance, and in fact there is no sqllib except when the "create database instance" step is running.
The only detectable db2 process running is db2fcmd
I have not been able to find any instructions regarding LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LIBPATH for HP-UX. They are not mentioned in the installation guide at all. I cannot find it in any of the installation notes. I presume sapinst is setting them itself before they are needed. Neither are set in the enviroment of db2<sid> or <sid>adm. I have gnawed my fingernails to the elbow over this one, but I cannot see any indication that either should be set for HP-UX. Anyway, they are definitely not set anywhere, to anything. This was a clean machine before I started chopping it up to do this install.
I figure it must be complicated - I have been trying to get an answer for 10 days already. I will absolutely hate myself when it turns out to be something obvious, documented in 10 places, mostly in bold italics. I shoulda taken my dads advice and been a riverboat gambler or a piano player in a cathouse - its a lot less complicated, -

Failed to Open FR report With Error code 500 - 'unable to process request'
I am running a load test against PBCS service. The service is load-balanced with 2 managed servers : EPMServer0 and EPMServer1
When I put the loads with 60 VUs -- all visiting FR reports, the service runs without error. But when the VU# increased to 90, it began to respond with Error code 500 - 'unable to process request'.
I tried to correlate the FRLogging logs to the errors, and found during the time those error happens, there are logs like this:

It looks like the servlet failed to open the datasource connection while handling the FR requests. But there are several data sources. My questions are:
1) Which datasource is corresponding to the issue? Is it EPMSystemRegistry?
2) What is the recommended configuration for the connection pool max capacity setting? -- current setting for EPMSystemRegistry is 30
3) Whether it could be a connection leak problem as only 90 concurrent end user is visiting and it failed to connect?

I think there a bug in BC CRM Web Service when trying to make a request for Order_RetrieveTotalPaid using soap need to be fixPerhaps it would be good to update the sample request as shown on the Developer reference page for this method (and, actually ALL of the SOAP samples)

Check for the value @ 1447 position in the xml message that you are trying to send to web service..
may be a date filed/decimal value which is not in expected format. -

we are calling sharepoint webservice from our web application but we are getting below error while calling webservice.
Server was unable to process request. ---> Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
Our code is as below.
We used below 2 options but we got same error for both scenario,

I am working on File to SOAP scenario for multiple values.
I have 20 Fields each field is having multiple values in sender side these multiple values I need to send to .Net system.
From ECC it is picking successfully but posting to target system I am getting the problem.
I have taken the sender side 0 to unbounded and target side they provided 0 to unbounded.
For single value it is working fine, but for multiple values I got the error like:
MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Server was unable to process request. ---> Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
