Ever since I downloaded your new 4.0 version, I get this message whenever I open my browser...I opted out of yahoo and all the other add on apps that might have been a possible problem
[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFileInputStream.init]" nsresult:
I had the same problem. I went to tools and then add-on. The first add-on listed was the 1clickweather. As soon as I disabled this, the problem cleared up. Thanks
the-edmeister. I did try reinstalling and reset my restore point to a time I thought it was not there. Those 2 things did not help. This only works if the error message is "[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFileInputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://1clickweather/content/js/utils/filemanager.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 233" data: no]".

I have no more info
That message is about the 1 Click Weather add-on. Something in that add-on is slightly incompatible with Firefox 4.
Disable that extension until you can install an updated version of that extension. -
I have been unable to find out any details about this specific error message, other than for Google Chrome, which is strange because although I have Chrome installed I don't use it, I use either Internet Explorer or - most often - Firefox. This error is only occurring on the Firefox browser and is not isolated to any specific website (it happens regardless of what website I view, including this page).
I have also sent a query to Sun Microsystems - Java support.I found this on a customer pc.
I removed an application with a firefox plugin called i5 Alert Button.
After Disabling the plugin in firefox I did not get the error anymore.
During the unistall I saw it removing the bolototoolbar file as well.
If you have this application try removing it. -
All browsers.
This issue can be caused by an extension (1clickweather) that isn't working properly.

I only see one forum post with a suggested solution, but I am not able to understand how to apply the solution to my situation. Using version 32.0.1This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Receive messages ok but when hitting "write"button the above message appears. No joy with Google
tried restarting with add-ons disabled from the help menu? It is probably add-on related.

What is chrome://browser/content/sanitize.js:136
This is an up-date of my earlier question that remains open.
I deleted (copied and then deleted) my profile and started with a clean slate. Did not make the slightest difference. So I un-installed FF 5. beta and went back to v4
I'd like to try v5 again, but only once this issue can be dealt with. Are you clearing the cookies via [[Clear Recent History]]?
If you do then you can try to exclude the cookies to see if that helps.
If you use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the cookies when you close Firefox then Firefox also tries to clear the cookies from plugins like Flash and starts a plugin-container process with the Flash player and possibly other plugins as well for each cookie, so that can add extra time if there are a lot of cookies to remove.<br />
Also make sure that all plugins are up to date.
You can let all cookies expire when you close Firefox.

The only way this might be possible is by using the HostContainer object

I am getting followong error
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://weave/content/options.xul
Line Number 6, Column 3: <setting id="weave-account" type="string" title="&account.label;" />
--^I had this problem - it appeared to be due to having Firefox 4 with the Firefox Sync installed as an add-on. Firefox 4 has sync included so there is no need to have it as an add-on. I went to the add-on manager and removed Firefox Sync and now appears to be working correctly.
