NSeries Gallery's Album

Good Day,
I have hundreds of pictures in my computer that I want to store on my phone's micro sd.
I am using a memory card reader for this. Using the old 6600 phone, if I want a group of photos to be in an album, I'll just create a folder and put all those photos in there.
But in the new nseries gallery, you need to select each photos (or mark them one by one) then add them to an album.
Is there anyway I can do this more efficiently using a card reader?

You have to buy an app called FilesPlus from Nokia store. This application shows preview of images in its file manager.

  • IPhoto Gallery - phantom albums

I wanted to have a separate "drop box" folder for photos uploaded by friends in Gallery.
So I chose a Drop Box image jpeg which I made and placed in iPhoto (so that image would act as the key photo for the folder) as a photo to Share, and created a New Folder in Gallery. Everthing OK so far, but after a few moments I got a message saying that there were no photos in the album and MobileMe would delete the album. I tried again and again and on the fourth try, bingo, there was what I wanted. It worked.
However, when I used Safari to check the Gallery page there was my Drop Box album (good) and the other three (not good) that I had tried to make but were "deleted." These three phantom "deleted" albums appear in Safari but not in iPhoto Web, so I can't get rid of them from appearing in Safari.
Any ideas as to how to stop them from appearing on the internet page? Thanks in advance to those mac people who take the time to help.
PS Apple to summarily execute Gallery (and iWeb) next year. A crying shame for me. Not much reason for me to continue giving them a yearly subscription anymore except that I'd lose my mac email. Or is there a reason to continue subscribing?
Again, as above, any ideas as to commercial photo hosting sites and their value? Have to spend more money yearly. Have done some reading research already myself of course, but often read lots of negative things about Flickr and the others. I only share my photos with a handful of people and with Gallery it has been so easy, just add a few new ones now and then (about 1,000 now) without the need to waste my time "managing" it as I've got loads of GB space on my MobileMe account. Is setting up a homepage somewhere (where?) a better idea than Flickr, et al?
Anyhow, thanks again to those who respond.

Am replying to myself as I have found how to get rid of the "phantom" albums. Logged on to MobileMe, then to Gallery, and there I could delete them. Merry Xmas 2011.

  • Web gallery no albums available

Have posted album to web Gallery via Aperture and is viewable form site but when I try to add a web Gallery to a web page in iWeb it says no albums available. Please Help

I'm having this same problem. I have a full mac account.
The webpage is displaying but my images are not loading. Works in Safari but not in Firefox. I installed the new Firefox today. Is this an iWeb problem with not having code compatible with a Firefox renderer?

  • Photo Gallery - Nested Albums

Anyone have any hints or advice as to how i would take the photo gallery tutorial and transform it into one where i could use nested albums (albums inside of albums) instead of the flat approach that is outlines in the tutorial.
i have thought of perhaps adding a location_id to the album_alb table to have it display as a photo, but im not sure how to overcome the problem of having the album displayed instead of the photo page.
any help or tips as to where i could look would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
I hope this will be comprehensible without posting code which I even don´t have :-)
When your "albums" table would provide an additional numeric field such as "album_category", which in turn retrieves it´s values / labels from another "foreign" table like "album_categories", I´m sure it will optionally be possible to display all albums which are related to, say, "album_category" ID 2

  • IWeb not seeing .Mac Web gallery photo albums

I uploaded a photo album created in iPhoto to .Mac Web Gallery. The photo album is accessible on the web.
When I go into iWeb to put a link to it, I've gone to Insert>.Mac Web Gallery, which is what the instructions say you are supposed to do. However, it says "No albums or movies available."
I saw Jason's post about a similar issue, but he said his problem was only related to creating an album with Aperture. My album was created with iPhoto, though, and it should work.
Can someone help me resolve this issue? How can I make an album in Web Gallery available to my iWeb website?

Having the same issue as use, and I'm publishing my Web Galleries with iPhoto, so no Aperture connection here. I was able to drag the web gallery from the Media window into a picture page, which populated the page with images, but it doesn't act like a Web Gallery connection, because images uploaded to the Web Gallery don't show up in the iWeb version of the picture pages.
    Hopefully there's a solution soon.

  • Web Gallery and Album pics in sync?

Is there some way to have pictures on my web gallery synced with an album page in iWeb (so I dont take up twice the amount of space)?

No. They are two separate entities and operate independently.

This is a page with the code.

Look at the source to see how it's done.
I embed the page with an iframe in my frontpage.
BTW, isn't it funny Apple uses Flash :

  • MobileMe Gallery - New Album

Is there a way to create a new empty album in MobileMe from the iPad?

    No there is not.

  • HT5129 Iphoto will move MobileMe Gallery into Albums section -freezes.  Any suggestions?

Iphoto '11 Freezes when trying to migrate mobileme to iphoto library.  Any suggestions?

I had a feeling it might have to do with rebuilding the library, so I did a search on that and came up with this link for iPhoto 08, which also works for this current version. Apparently it's not uncommon to corrupt the library when updating iPhoto (doesn't happen with my other programs, though, so maybe iPhoto people need to improve the system better.)
    http://www.simplehelp.net/2008/06/20/how-to-rebuild-a-corrupt-iphoto-08-database /
After rebuilding it, I actually did have the same dialog box come up twice, deleting two more albums, but that was it, leaving 30 plus albums intact. So in the end, I don't know what exactly the problem was, nor whether what I did solved it. However, if anybody is interested, the rebuild dialog box opens if you hold the "option" and "command" keys down while opening iPhoto. I checked off each box there and rebuilt.

  • Rearrange Gallery albums in iPhoto?

So, I've been an  iPhoto user for years, and I've had more questions and hair pulls in one day of working with iPhoto'11 and my new Lion Mac than all those years.
This question: I've have many MobileMe/Gallery photo albums, and theytransfered to my new mac fine. I miss having the Web albums listed in the sidebar, but like the grid icon view fine.  HOW do rearrange the albums?  In the old version you moved them up and down the sidebar and the cahnged order in the grid. But I can't move the stack icons like you'd think it would work?
Alos, it used to be easy to add single photos to a WEb Gallery Album after its creation, by draggin to the album icon. But if I click the photo I want to drag, the list of albums goes away?  Do I have to click the "add to" button now?
    Thanks for any help!

Okay, I have a partial answer by digging deep into an archived post...I can reorder using the Browser interface for MobileMe.  That's fine and dandy, but I use iPhoto software for my photo management and don't want to create a disordered album in iPhoto and then have to go on the web to cahnge it. Anybody have a solution?  Seems like an odd new  software "feature"

  • Is there a way to change the WHITE background color of the photo gallery/COLLECTIONS to BLACK.  IPad 4 ios 7

As a Professional Photographer, I chose to buy an IPad 4 for only one reason and that was the amazing color and clarity of the Photo Gallery as a mobile Portfolio.
Originally the background color of the IPad 4 Gallery was BLACK and this facilitated the photos greatly, photos look better and stand out better on a BLACK background. White backgrounds cause a glare eminating from the edges of the photo and cause iris in our eyes to close down, degrading the quality of the photo being viewed.
I updated to ios 7 and now my IPad 4 has a WHITE background, which is unacceptable for viewing photos.
HOW DO I CHANGE the WHITE background on the Photo/Gallery/COLLECTIONS to BLACK?
Apple should ALWAYS give USERS/OWNERS of their products control of such details. IT'S JUST GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Vancouver22  Thanks for your help... the SLIDESHOW turned black for me automatically when the slideshow began. That works most excellent!
Now if I can just get the White Background to STAY BLACK, this might not be as painful as I feared.
My IP4 does lag slightly, but not enough to set fire to it yet.
The gallery/COLLECTIONS/ALBUMS are the most important thing to me.
    Thanks!

  • Web gallery links no longer work from iWeb

I previously added links directly to my web gallery photo albums as external links in iWeb. This no longer works. For instance, I used to be able to send people to a specific web gallery album by linking to gallery.mac.com/username#xxxxxxx where xxxxxxx is the number of the album. This recently stopped working however. iWeb seems to change the # sign to %252. Anyone know what happened?
    Kurt

    Kurt:
FWIW here is some info I gleamed from various sites on naming sites.
    Renaming a website or webpage
You can rename a site or page at any time by double-clicking its name in the site organizer and typing the new name.
The page name appears at the top of the visitor's browser.
The site name is included in the website's address (URL):
    http://web.mac.com/[YourMemberName]/iWeb/[SiteName]
Renamed pages and sites (as well as the site's URL) change online the next time you publish.
IMPORTANT: If you rename a site, previously created links to your site won't work; be sure to notify your visitors, especially your blog or podcast subscribers.
Browsers convert spaces in site names to "%20." To avoid these symbols, use an underscore, hyphen, or some other character instead of a space. Also avoid non-Roman characters; many get converted to numbers when you publish.
Other characters aren't recommended for use in website names, including: forward and backward slashes (/ \), brackets ([ ]), tilde (~), exclamation point !, question mark (?), "at" sign (@), number sign (#), dollar sign ($), ampersand (&), asterisk (*), colon (:), equal sign (=), comma (,), and double quotation marks ("). Using these characters may result in names with strange numbers in them.
    Hope this helps.

  • Want to show image description in an iweb photo gallery

Is there a way to get the description data field to display for each photo when you make a gallery (or album page)? We took hours to add nice desctiptions for each photo and can't get them to show in the iweb/iphoto gallery.
I'm using 'publish to folder' so that I can host the gallery on my own website.
Also, each photo has the 'title' field showing, not even the file name I've given each photo. So the file name doesn't show either. Is there a way to show the file name?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers.

    bjenrol:
Where are these descriptions entered? If you used the Description field in iPhoto you can use this Applescript to move the descriptions to the title field which will display in the iWeb photo page. Be sure to remove the Å from the script before saving. It's an error. When you're done importing to iWeb you can use the Photos->Batch Change->Title to File Name to get the original file names back in that field.

  • Changing the gallery name doesn't "stick."

Hello, I have one gallery (all you can presently have with iPhoto 8) with a few password-protected albums. When I use iPhoto preferences to change the name of the gallery, previous gallery names appear on both the gallery and album pages of idisk. Emptying Safari's cache and reloading the current Safari page does not seem to help. Anyone have any clues what might be going on here? Thanks, PP

    Strange ideed, greencode.
In such a case the Align to Pixel Grid may haunt the object into new documents, but it should show when the object is selected.
So it seems that it is really a ghost here.
It may be far out, but you may try to close down Illy and then either press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible) or Move the folder with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible).
Both will reset the preferences; the latter way you may move the folder back if it brings no cure to recover customized preference settings.
