Nsi 8800 gtx drivers where aer they

hi , i recently bought the msi 8800 gtx and installed that came with the card and also updated drivers from the website , but where are all of the controls gone in the
advanced section like as in the old 7900gtx.
i mean how do u check the temp of the card , where are all those options gone of to and how do i enable them with these new drivers , i see various options under the
advance tab in graphics but the temperature monitoring section is missing or something.
or they have not included it at all ,
so how do i check the temps of the card.
thanks

Muhammad,
Make sure you use the latest nVidia ForceWare Drivers and then use Riva Tuner like vernonion said.
Do not use the Drivers from the MSI Website, sticl to the ones linked above.
Take Care,
Richard

  • Updated drivers - where are they

OK I have successfully installed Vista Home Premium on my Mac dual quad core, including installing the Windows drivers on the Leopard install disk that came with my Mac. The Boot Camp instructions state that we can check for updated drivers at www.apple.com/support/bootcamp.
Figuring that at least some of the drivers would have been updated recently I went to that page. Am I missing something simple or are there no updated Windows drivers to be found there? Where exactly are updated drivers for Apple hardware being run on Vista?

I "tried" to install Vista64 Ultimate on my new Penryn MCB but it said it wasn't supported and I couldn't I got 4GB Ram just so I could take advantage of Vista64..
I'm really getting annoyed about the driver update issues... I could understand it when boot camp was in "beta" but now that they are advertising it as this great feature, get with the program!
    For your video drivers, visit:

  • Windows Bluetooth Drivers, Where are they?

    Hi everybody,
I removed my bluetooth drivers in Windows, and I can't use my mighty mouse and my phone right now I do have the bootcamp driver cd, but I don't want to install all the drivers from scracth (There is only one executables in the cd!).
Do you know where can I find the appropriate bluetooth drivers for it?
    Thanks a lot...

This link might help, somebody did the same thing and got them back.

  • 8800 GS drivers

Like many others I am suffering freezes and BSOD's whilst gaming. I have isolated the cause to the 8800 GS driver (although using wireless mouse/keyboard made it worse).
When I check what driver I have via the XP control panel/systems/device manager etc. it tells me I have a NVidia 8800 GS, version 6.14.11.6763, dated 1/24/2008.
When I use the Auto Check on the NVidia site it tells me that I have a 8800 GS and the current installed driver is version 167.63. As the last five numbers are the same as detailed in Windows, at least both checks are giving the same result. (I would not have been surprised if they were different!)
My first question is this. Where did this driver come from: It is not listed in Boot Camp 2.0 which I have installed (but not 2.1). Was it on the OS X installation disc or perhaps the Win XP SP3 disc?
I also used the Nvidia website to tell me what update I needed for my 167.63 driver. The recommendation was:
"Latest Geforce Release for Notebooks Version 179.28 - Release date 18 Dec 2008" . And of course the drivers included in that update are all "M" type including 8800 M GS
So my second question is: Why is NVidia recommending a Notebook update when it has identified my existing driver as a desk top version? I would have expected it to refer me to the Jan 8 2009 release of update 181.20 which included my 8800 GS!!
    Confused from England!

    Dealbata,
I am at work currently and dont have access to my Mac, but I found the imac's 8800 specs (cant remember where) and matched them to the specs of the 8800M GTS specs supplied by nvidia. I had also read that the iMacs use the notebook version of both CPUs and graphics cards because the of the lower power consumption and heat output. It is necessary to keep those both low due to the confined space of the imac.
Personally, when I update the drivers I use the drivers for the 8800GS (desktop version) because they are the newest drivers and are not Beta such as the notebook drivers are. They function great for me. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE UPDATING JUST IN CASE!!!! It is a little tricky to install the drivers and I am going off of memory here but here goes:
    1. Download the newest drivers for the 8800GS
    2. Extract to a folder where you will remember the location
    3. Click on start, control panels, then system. Go to the hardware tab, and device manager. Once the window opens, double click on display, then nvidia 8800. Click on driver in the new window, then update driver button.
    4. When windows wants to connect to windows update click no not this time. >click next, Then Click on Install from specific location. >click next. Then click choose specific location >click next.
    5. in the next screen you should see the nvidia 8800gs in the list. Click have disk and navigate to the folder where you extracted the new driver you download.
6**Windows will give you a warning saying this driver might not be supported and may yield unwanted results, etc. Click ok and install the driver. Once the driver installs, you will need to restart.
    7. After restarting the new driver will be installed. You can verify the new driver version as well.
    Good Luck!

  • GPU, NVIDIA 8800 GTX & PhysX, Vista SP 2 32bit

I have posted much of the same informtion in NVIDIA's user forum as well in hopes of solving my problem. My specific concern for this post is how to get my Dell computer with a PhysX card to play nice with Photoshop CS4.
    I have the following:
    - Dell XPS 720
    - Vista SP2 - 32 bit
    - Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX
    - PCI Express 768 MB with dual DVI-HD TV
    - Photoshop CS4
I am having difficult with my NVidia GeForce 8800 GTX and PhysX Drivers as well as getting Photoshop CS4 to recognize the GPU options. I'd appreciate any and all assistance.
Here's what I have done so far:
    1) Reinstalled Vista to SP2 - 32 bit
    2) Installed the latest driver file from NVidia: 186.18_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe. I double clicked on this file and followed the prompts to install drivers. In Programs and Features, I had listed: NVIDIA drivers, NVIDIA PhysX, and NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D drivers.
    3) I went to NVIDIA Control Panel and ensure that 1) Set PhysX GPU acceleration: Enabled; 2) Select an SLI configuration: Enable SLI (recommended); and 3) Select the SLI focus display: Dell Monitor specifics.
    4) I noticed when I went to my Device Manager, I had a PCI device not registered. In the past, this has indicated that the PhysX card is not registered properly. See image:
http://i43.tinypic.com/23tmgpi.jpg (tried embedding pic with bb code without success)
    5) Checked Photoshop CS4, Edit | Preferences | Performance -- GPU Settings: No GPU Options available with Photoshop Standard. The grayed out text is Enable OpenGL Drawing and Advanced Settings.
    6) I then tried just the PhysX driver by itself: PhysX_9.09.0428_SystemSoftware.exe. When I double clicked on it, it removed the previous driver. And when I doubled clicked it again, it installed the PhysX driver.
    7) Still had problems with my PCI device manager that indicated that a PCI device was not registered. And Photoshop CS4 was not cooperating.
    8) Went to Dell's site, and downloaded the Ageia driver: R167580.exe. I doubled clicked it to expand the files, which were placed at: C:\dell\drivers\R167580. I then went back to the device manager and right mouse clicked on the PCI device to replace driver. I provided the previous path. In the Device Manager, the PCI problem went away.
    9) The Photoshop problem remained. I ensured that the NVIDIA control panel had acceleration enabled. I once again installed the PhysX driver: PhysX_9.09.0428_SystemSoftware.exe. None of these actions got Photoshop to cooperate.
    10) Tried various solutions on the Adobe Photoshop page: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404898.html#finddriver
    a ) Option 2 - Reset preferences
    b ) Option 8 - Disabled Vista Aero
    Neither of these worked.
    I have a few questions:
    1) Why didn't Step 2 properly install all drivers for my NVIDIA GTX and PhysX cards? That is, why did the device manager show a PCI Device problem?
    2) What is the best way to install drivers for my hardware?
    3) Why was it necessary to use Dell's Ageia driver to overcome the Device Manager "problem"?
    4) Can I test whether or not my PhysX card is "active" or "seen" by other applications? I am not a gamer, so the only application I am aware of is my Photoshop CS4. It doesn't "see" the PhysX card.
    5) How do I get Photoshop CS4 to play nice with my PhysX card?

Where were you last night when I really needed your assistance?
The answer to your response is the following:
    Zeno Bokor wrote:
Photoshop is known to sometimes have problems with multi-gpu solutions and your setup falls into this category because you have SLi active
Once I removed SLI active, Photoshop played nice.  Does Adobe's page (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404898.html#finddriver) reference your solution? Is the following information saying the same thing?
    Adobe Page:
    Q. Why can't Photoshop take advantage of more than one display card?
          A.
When you move an image window between two monitors that are each on a
separate display card, the GPU attached to the second monitor does not
have access to the data necessary to accelerate drawing. The SLI and
Crossfire technologies that use more than one GPU to speed up
full-screen games will not work with Photoshop, because their use is
limited by design to accelerate only full-screen games.
    Zeno Bokor wrote:
2)just install them normally by double clicking on the .exe
Okay, but that didn't seem to properly install my drivers for my PhysX card, even though the exe is supposed to contain drivers for both.
    Zeno Bokor wrote:
3)manufacturers sometimes do wacky things to hardware so that you need special drivers4)Photoshop doesn't see the PhysX card because it doesn't use it
5)how about you yank it out of your system?
why do you need a dedicated PhysX card if you're not gaming?
    3)  This stuff certainly has me puzzled. I simply want to plug and play.
    4) Okay, I thought the GPU acceleration stuff was related to my PhysX card?  Isn't that the acceleration?
    5) Not sure what you are suggesting I yank out--my entire system, CS4, etc.  In any event, if Photoshop is supposed to take advantage of some functionality of my hardware, I'd like to use it.
My understanding is that an acceleration card is supposed to help with graphical stuff.  So I have an accelerator card.

  • PC wont boot at all with X-fi and 8800 GTX c

My A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard and my BFG 8800 GTX video card seem to not like the X-Fi... It wont boot at all.... If I remove the X-fi, it boots fine. I have tried the X-fi in all available slots, and moved the 8800 to both slots, but nadda..Once, it booted, but the X-fi wasnt 'seen' by the MB at all... I can run onboard sound, but it isn't as nice, and I dont get to use the EAX...

Cat, what processor/memory are you running on the mobo along with the x-fi and the 8800 gtx? What drivers do you use for the 8800 gtx? Latest? Can you run the Battlefield 242 demo with the X-Fi and Ultra/Eax Audio settings on (all audio settings at max) without problems for at least an hour with no stutter/crashes in h20x2k.sys or whatever?I don't know if you can be bothered, but it would be amazing if you tried it and reported that it works fine, if it does. I'm getting HEAVY stutter with a DFI Lanparty SLI-DR Expert (Nforce 4). It starts out fine, but gets worse and worse as time goes. By about 5 minutes to half an hour it's pretty much unbearable and/or crashes with a bluescreen. Please see my other post for this (look for bf 242 audio channels). Setting the sound to "hardware" seems to be a temporary fix, but I'm definitely not satisfied. I have no problems running general windows/2d audio otherwise... silky smooth. I'm actually considering replacing my motherboard in the near future and I'm gathering options on "X-Fi-Friendly" motherboards. I'd like to hear my Battlefield 242 audio with all its 28 channels in EAX 5 someday... Perhaps Creative should consider putting stickers or logos on motherboards to ensure they play nice together lol :-D?ThanksMessage Edited by HeatSurge on 06-07-2007:26 AM

  • IMac Nvidia GeForce 8800 GS Drivers

I am running XP Professional via Boot Camp. I run XP so I can play America's Army since it is a Windows only based game. The problem I am having is when I expand Americas Army full screen it completely locks up my iMac and I have to hold down the power button to reset it.
I have been told by several people that the problem is from the Nvidia GeForce 8800 GS drivers. I tried to up date the graphics drivers from Apple's and Nvidia's website with the latest driver. When I try to install the graphics driver from the setup file, it gives me the following error.
"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."
Here is the location where I downloaded the driver from.
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp175.19whql.html
Here is a link to America's Army on the support forums.

    Hey guys,
I encountered problems renaming the nv4 disp file that allen sent me (drivers still would not install)...so instead of replacing the original nv4 disp.inf file in windows, I opened the nv4 disp file allen sent me, copied the text, and pasted it in the original nv4 disp file in the NVIDIA folder after deleting the text of the original file and saved it...after that, the new drivers installed without a hitch...have yet to test whether or not the infinite loop is gone or not in Age of Empires 3 though...will keep u updated...thx for the file allen!

  • Audigy 2 ZX Windows 64 Drivers - Where &

Have Audigy 2 ZX Windows 64bit drivers been released? If so where are they located?
    Thanks in advance.

align=left>No Probs. For WinXP 64-Bit, there has been a beta driver in use for sometime, available at www.station-drivers.com This driver works very well, as I have installed it on my buddies WinXP 64-bit rig.
align=left>Creative has just this week released a new 64-bit driver for most of the Audigy range (the ZS included). It is loacated in their Support>Downloads section by using the drop-down at the top of this webpage. The download contains both 32 & 64 bit drivers. There has been an acti've thread near the top of this list throughout this week that discusses the new driver's results. "Have a read, and reply back with your own results, without the sarcasm please."

  • Dual GEFORCE 8800 GTX cards?

I have a pair of GEFORCE 8800 GTX graphics cards, they ran in dual mode (QUAD SLI) on a PC.
Can I put them in a Mac Pro and run them in dual mode like this?
    Thanks,

    No.
They will work as two separate cards in Windows...not SLi
In OSX they won't work at all.

  • Nvidia 8800 GTX - Any expected date?

    Hey,
I've been reading alot about people trying to install 8800 GTS in a Mac Pro (only sometimes successfully on boot camp)and I never really found a definite answer as to when Apple might actually release Mac Pros with Apple 8800 GTXs. Are they even planning on it? Is there an expected time frame until they do this? Or is it not really going to happen in this next year?
Thanks, I think this question answered would give alot of people an idea of when they will purchase their products. Planning can be everything; some people don't feel comfortable shelling out $$$ for a 8800 if it might not even work ;)(and then finding that apple releases the 8800 2 weeks later)
    Cheers

Apple has made no announcements of if or when newer graphics option will be made available for the mac pro.
I'd guess about one day before hades freezes over, given Apple's seeming indifference to this long standing issue.

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

Once you're on a spammer's list, there's nothing you can do to stop the flood of e-mail messages. You can either control it, using spam filtering (which is what files those messages in the Junk Mail folder), or you can throw out your e-mail address and get a new one.
It's sad, but spam is simply a fact of life at this point, and there's nothing to be done about it. Legislation has been tried, with zero success, since most spam either comes from countries with no legislation or from personal computers that have been infected with malware and are part of a "botnet."

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Backing up does not transfer your photos to your computer, if you don't want to enable photo stream, you will need to transfer your photos when your device is connected to your computer using iTunes.
