NSS4000 saying not enough space

Hi everyone,
We have a NSS4000. Firmware is version 1.21.0 (lastest I guess). We have a weird issue with it. At the moment, we can't add any file or folder because it tells we don't have any space left. Same thing for creating a new share or even downloading logs to it directly in the web management page. Nothing.
We can clearly see that in fact, there is enough space:
I'm logged in with the admin. Rights have nothing to do. Logs are all fine. So weird. Any thoughts or ideas ?

Run the iPod updater and restore it to factory settings.

  • TS3212 I just purchased a new iphone 4s and I am trying to load some music from my itues. I am getting a message that says not enough space. I checked my phone and it shows i have 5.1G available. do you know how to fix this problem?

I just purchased a new iphone 4S and I'm trying to loan some music from itunes. I keep getting a message that says not enough space on my phone. I checked my phone and I have 5.1G available. I deselected all the songs on my itunes to try and get it to sync and I keep getting the same message. Any tips?

    Hey csumner1,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are receiving a "Not enough free space" alert when attempting to sync your new iPhone 4s. The following article may help to resolve your issue:
iOS: "Not enough free space" alert when trying to sync
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1503
    Resolution
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your device, then syncing again to solve this issue.
Orphaned files may remain on your iOS device if it is physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, the Capacity indicator in iTunes may report a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device. To resolve this issue:
    1. Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
    2. Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
    3. Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
    4. Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes.
              - If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 5.
    5. Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device. To do this:
              - Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
              - Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
              - Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
              - Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 6.
    6. Restore using iTunes.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • HT1296 when syncing with itunes with my i pad it says not enough space ? dont know why as my i pad is a 16gb

When syncing with i tunes message comes up saying not enough space and i cant understand why as ipad is 16GB

    - Because as the message says what you want to sync to the iPad exceed the space available on the iPad. You either have to sync less to the iPad or delete some items from the iPad.
    - Also, in the colored bargraph that shows the distribution of storage on the iPad, how large is the "other" category? If larger than about 1 1/2 GB then restoring the iPod should reduce that so you can regain that storage.

  • TS4036 I upgraded to an Iphone 5 and open  new Icloud account, I then backed up my phone on my brothers Mac Pro, I now want to restore my info to my phone and I get a message that says not enough  space. What do I do

I upgraded to an Iphone 5 and open  new Icloud account, I then backed up my phone on my brothers Mac Pro, I now want to restore my info to my phone and I get a message that says not enough  space. What do I do

Delete all back ups on MacBook and create new back up. Restart his MB and attempt to restore again. Do not forget to erase your iphone 5 before restore.

  • I transferred my files, including iTunes, to a new computer. When I go to sync, it says I'm still synced with the old, do I want to erase and resync. AND then it says not enough space. What to do?

I transferred my files, including iTunes, to a new computer. When I go to sync, it says I'm still synced with the old, do I want to erase and resync. AND then it says not enough space. What to do?

Pictures, assuming they were taken with the device, can be copied off at any time.  This has nothing to do with syncing.
If the pictures were instead synced to the device via iTunes, they are not the original images.  Instead, they are optimized copies of the originals for display on the iPhone.  There is software that can extract them, google it.
Where is the backup of the computer?  And before you ask, the iPhone, like all iDevices, is not and has never been a backup device.

  • Trying to build a DVD image, DVDSP4 says not enough space

I have many years' experience using DVD Studio Pro 4, so this hopefully is not a stupid question.
I'm using an iMac with 80gb free and an external HDD with 12gb free.  I have authored a DVD in DVD Studio Pro 4.  The project says it's 4.6gb.
I need to make a disc image file of the DVD so I can burn it to DVD media using another computer.  When I do this, it encodes for hours and then says "Formating Failed.  Not enough space of the output media"  (I might be paraphrasing.)
The only possiblt output medias, the iMac and the external drive, both have plenty of space, and the project is under the limit.  So what gives?

Let me try this again, because I think we're not communicating.
I have authored a DVD Studio 4 project with menus and assets, etc.  It simulates just fine.  The tab on the top of the DVDSP screen indicates my project is 4.6gb.  This means I should have no problem turning this project into a DVD.  The computer I'm working on has no DVD burning capabilities so I want to create a disc image of the project instead of burning a DVD.  I have done this before, where DVDSP encodes and builds a file that I can then use Disk Utility to burn to a DVD.  So, once I have my disk image, I will transfer that file to another computer, and use Disk Utility on that second computer to burn the DVD from the disk image.
    NOW
The problem I'm having is that DVDSP is not able to make the disk image.  When I go to "Build/Format", it should make a disk image, but instead, I get an error saying there is not enough space on the output device.  The "output device" in this case is my external Hard drive which has plenty of space.  That is why I am asking for help.

  • CAN NOT UPDATE AS ITUNES SAYS NOT ENOUGH SPACE ON PHONE

wHEN TRYING TO SYNC WITH MY IPHONE  I GET A MESSAGE SAYING THAT THE PHONE COULD NOT BE UPDATED AS NOT ENOUGH SPACE FOR A 1.1 MB SYNC.I HAVE OVER 2.5 GB SPACE. BUT STILL WILL NOT UPDATE

    Hello Peter39,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone will not update because it needs more space available. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • Macbook 13 retina says "not enough space" when there is.

My macbook has 236GB free space and I am trying to copy a 180BG file-which I do all the time-from a Thunderbot drive. Today it is telling me ther eis not enough space. I went in to check permissions...the user account I sign in under is not listed and it says "read only". There are three users-System(read & write), everyone(read only)  and a mysterious user named "wheel" (read only) which I deleted. Is the user name I sign in under actually "system"? I could have sworn it actually used to have my user name from the sign in screen...
Am I even barking up the right tree that permissions could be the issue for the "not enough space" issue? Any help appreciated.
    thanks

If the padlock icon is closed, click it to unlock the settings and authenticate. Turn Time Machine OFF, then back ON and close the preference pane. Try the failed operation again.

  • HT201317 I have over 300 photos and 87 videos on my iphone 5.  each time I plug in for battery I get a message saying not enough space, need to buy more, so I did yesterday.  While attempting to do icloud storage again it said would take 83 hours.

I have over 300 photos and 87 videos. When I recharge the battery I am geting the message to buy more storage to because not enough icloud space.  So I did yesterday.  That went ok, but the new message tells me it will take 83 hours.  Perplexed I went thru the settings and turned off apps and their data that I didn't realize where on.  Now I'm not sure if I needed to purchase more storage but it is still taking forever to complete the task.  Am I on the right track with this, meaning will take forever to store all my photos or what ?  The only other item I have on to store is contacts.  Can you assist me ?  Thanks - emoslim

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.
What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps.

  • Boot camp assistant says "not enough space" with 35GB available!

I have recently cleared space on my hard drive to accomodate a 64bit Windows 7 partition, which I wanted to make with boot camp assistant.
I made absolutely sure I had plenty of space; in fact, I have no less than 35 GB of space available on my startup disk. HOWEVER, the amount of space on my hard drive seems to be constantly changing. I believe this is due to time machine's hidden background backups which automatically fill up an expandable partition entitled "mobilebackups".
Boot camp assistant constantly gives me the following error: "The startup disk does not have enough space to be partitioned. You must have at least 10 GB of free space available."
This is on a 2.2GHz 15" SR MacBook Pro 2007 with 6GB RAM. I am running 10.7.1 (LION). Perhaps this has something to do with the recovery disk or the mobilebackps partition being treated as one or more separate partitions, as boot camp will only partition a drive with a single partition. However, I have not heard of this error anywhere else.
Thanks for your help in advance! I am a rather experienced user, so feel free to use advanced terminoligy if you wish.
PS Attached are screenshots of the error message and of my HD's info (free space highlighted)

After restoring, I lost my Recovery HD partition. I am currently working to get a new one. Perhaps I will install it AFTER boot camp is finished, which might solve the multiple-partitions error? I could use some advice here.
At this point, bootcamp is giving me a new error which says some files cannot be moved. I am moving this to a new discussion HERE:
