NSS6000 - No domain user available (join to Domain is OK)

I have a NSS6000 with "Join OK" to my domain -( firmware 1.21.0)
correct DNS configured (no WINS available)
I have 2 Active Directorys (windows server 2003 , windows server 2008 R2) but no domain user or groups listed, nor in the shares or the users
If I view the CIFS logs i get:

What i was suggesting in my first post, is if you want a fully
support NSS box that is compatible for windows servers 2008 then you will need
to go with NSS300 Series devices.)

Replication between publish1 to publish2 instances to make users available on both instances.

we need to make 2 publish environments with load balancer, if a user register on the website, his details would be stored in CRX only on one publish instance, if the second request goes to other publish instance then there would be a issue as his details would not be available there. this is the reason i want to make the users to be available on both publish instances so that there would not be any issue.
Could you please help me how to make the users available on both publish instances. we have 2 publish instances, user profile details would be stored in the CRX of one publish instance, i want to make this user profile details to be available in other publish instance also.
/home/users folder need to be replicated upon node creation or modification between both publish instances.
Request you to please help me to know if we can replicate users between publish instances directly? or do we need to reverse replicate to author first and replicate to publish.
another issue if i replicate to author and then publish1 and publish2 : we have only one author for 3 data centers(3 diff servers) ; if i use reverse replication to autor and replication to publish1 and publish2 then the user informaiton would be replicated to all 3 data centers which is not permitted by the client. can we directly replicate the users between publish1 to publish2 instances? if yes, please help me.

The steps to move from publish1 to publish2 instance without replicating to author is
1 Setup replication agent in each publish instance.
2 Create Workflow Model to activate the user.
3 Configure Workflow Launcher to listen for new registration & call the model created in step2. Please note:- In launcher you need to set condition to avoid infinite loop & especially with modification.
If you could file a daycare we can understand your requirement better & discuss prons/cons & can come up with proposing right implementation.

Making user available in db trigger

I have a requirement to make the current user available in a database trigger. Is there any way to do this?
I am currently using ADF 11.1.1.1.1 deploying to a Weblogic server 10.3.1. There are no users/groups setup on Weblogic.

One more piece of information. The ADF application uses the same DB user to insert/update information on the database.
So I really need to somehow pass the logged in user details to this trigger.

Reset Password "No Users Available"

I work at the IT Help Desk at the University of Montana and I've had two people come in with new Macbooks that have forgotten their passwords. I ran through the normal routine of starting up with a Mac OS X disc and reset their password. Everything up until there works fine but when we restart the computer it brings up the log-in window and the account or password doesn't work. I have restarted the computers with the Mac OS X disc again and tried to reset the password and it says "No Users Available" and I open up the terminal and type "ls" and nothing shows up. Any ideas?

Calendar- User Availability

When I create an appointment from my calendar, add "Users" to the meeting, and select "User Availability", it says "No information available" for the other users. I know I synced my and the user I added's Outlook Calendar to CRMOD, but it's still not working. Can someone please help me with this?

BPC User Creation: No Users Available Under Domain

We have upgraded BPC 7.5 NW SP6 on our development system and
configured domain in the server manager but when trying to add new user
from admin client, system is not display any list of users under
configured domain, we are using windows domain authentication and
windows 2003 server regional settings and language settings are English

Is two stage approval workflow with custom user available out of the box

I have this scenario.
1. User1 uploads document
2. Workflow starts and asks user name of person to whom it will send document for approval.
3. User1 enters name and workflow sends email to that user.
4. User2 approves document upon which it goes to User3. This User3 is a predefined user and User2 doesn't need to enter his name like User1 above.
5. User3 approves document.
Is this workflow available OOB in SharePoint?

You can create a column called Approver to store the User2 in the document library, and set the column as Required.
Then you can create your workflow like the screenshot:
In the workflow Strart Options, you can set "Start workflow automatically when an item is created".

Making users available for OpenSSO realm group and role assignment?? Help.

Here is the situation. We have 3 Open SSO realms set up. One we have called OpenSSO-Admin, a second called OpenSSO-Provider and a third OpenSSO-Internal. We are having issues provisioning and managing the OpenSSO-Internal OpenSSO-Provider realms, but OpenSSO-Admin seems to be fine.
Here is the behavior that is manifest.
In the 2 'broken' realms, when we create users and assign them to the appropriate Open SSO realm, they appear to be provisioned correctly in IDM as well as the realm (We have validated user creation in LDAP and everything about the user appears to be fine). When we view the groups and roles in the specific resources, we are presented with a list of users that are in Brackets and appear to be provisioned. The brackets indicate that the users are not found as available users. The bracketed users can not be unassigned, nor can any others. note, our bracketed users in the list of assigned users are created from a workflow which assigns them directly to the appropriate group and role based on their business role.
The third realm, OpenSSO-Admin works fine and we can add, and manage users in the groups and roles within the realm.
We have ruled out the workflow as a source as the problem persists when we use the tool to manage users. We can create a user from scratch and add them to the realms. In the 'Broken' relms, the users do not appear in thelist of available users to be assigned to the groups or roles. Yet in the 'good realm, everything appears fine. We can move users from one realm to another and the problem persists in the broken realms, but when a user is added to the 'good' realm, everything is fine.
I have tried reconciling and get no different results.
Question is, We have isolated that the issue seems to be in the generation / management of the left hand "Available Users" list. How and where is this generated from and how can we check/fix or regenerate this list?

I am doing a user registration UI for a web project. Our
database has usernames unique. I dont want the user to create an
account, submit form, then come back and see they have an error:
username is already taken. I would like to put a button next to the
username input field called Check. This button i want it to check
the username availability. I have a php function that returns true
or false depending on the username check. I want this to be a
validation widget to my input field. Can this be done using spry
1.6? If, yes could you point out some hints?

you can achieve this behavior by using Spry sending the
username when the Check button is pressed and receiving as response
the xml with the existent usernames. Your custom function will
submit the form via XHR. The callback function will interpret the
response from the server.

I have created a sharepoint group with auto accept requests to join the group.
However to join the group users have to go to the specific membership of the group and click "actions->join group" on the url: <a href="http:///_layouts/15/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=592"> Surely there is a more user friendly
way to join a group in SP2013 right? Can I create a link users can simply click on that joins them to the specific group?

I'm not sure this was ever designed to be user friendly as typically only Admins or those with elevated permissions would see these groups. There isn't as far as I can see, any way to add this step within a Wokflow too, unless you're able to install
some third party steps.

IPad user cannot join web conference ??

Hello. Recently had an issue with a iPad user (w/ Lync 2013 client) trying to join a web conference.
After clicking on the link, it clocks for about two minutes and then throws and error: Unhandled alert type 200 is raised with error code E_UcwaForbidden (E2-3-41)
I have never seen this before. Googling it returns nothing.
Literally.
To test, I was able to successfully create a Lync Web Conference, invited the user, and they could join fine on their iPad.
Video, desktop, dial in # all worked fine. But for some reason, this particular meeting will not work.
Has anyone heard/seen this?

Check if you can join a web conference on another Ipad works for other accounts.
Please try to uninstall and reinstall Lync 2013 mobile client.

Reader 9 - Users cannot join or publish comments

We have a set of reviewers. I create a 2-page PDF document and initiate a shared review through Acrobat X.
Some with Acrobat X can review, comments, and publish comments just fine.
Other reviewers with READER 9 cannot join the review. The can make comments, however there is NO option to Publish Comments.
How can the users with Reader 9 join the review and publish their comments.

Are the reviewers opening the file in Reader application or browser?

Can your reviewers check their registry settings if bEnableWorkflowPart is set to 0? If it is 0, it means shared reveiw functionality has been disabled.

IChat 4.0 won't automatically make user available after Computer wakes up

iChat changes my status to away when my computer goes asleep. When it wakes up, it stays on the away status and does not automatically change to Available. In iChat preferences, I have checked "Set my status to Available" under the "When I return to my computer, if I set my status to Away:" But it doesn't work. I still have to go to iChat and manually change my status.

Make information about the current user available in a managed bean

I've overridden prepareSession in an Application Module (AM) so that when a user logs into my application, it immediately uses the username as a bind variable to execute the query for a View Object (VO) that gets more information about the user, like full name, e-mail address ... This works fine and I'm able to bind the VO to a page and display the information.
But now I'm beginning to realize that I'm going to need this information about the user throughout the application. Do I have to include an iterator for the user info VO and associated attributeValues on every single pageDef, or is it possible to write a single managed bean that will expose the attributes of the single row of the VO as properties. The application I'm working on now is a "minor" upgrade of a JDeveloper 10.1.3 application, so I need a 10.1.3 solution, but I have a 11.1.2 application in the works that will probably do the same thing.
Oh, and sorry if this is an FAQ - I'm probably not using good search terms to find solutions that have already been posted.

Your code didn't give me exactly the answer I needed, but it pointed me in the right direction. For one thing, I had a version of ADFUtils that didn't have the getApplicationModuleForDataControl method. However I was able to do a Google search and find working code for the missing method. And since the values I need to expose in the managed bean are from the VO, not the AM, I had to go one step further and get a reference to the VO from the AM, and then a reference to the first (and only) row of the VO.
For anyone else with this question, here's my version of the code:
