NSURLErrorDomain erreur -1100

Hello.
When I try to update softwares on my Mac I get this error :
"Une erreur est survenue L'opération n'a pas pu s'achever. (NSURLErrorDomain erreur -1100).
Any help?
Thanks.

Go to the Apple web site and download whatever it is you need, or be patient and wait a day or two.  Maybe the servers are slowed by everybody trying to get the new iTunes, but according to the second link below there isn't any urgency.

    Hi,

hello, when i click on the apple and then update, I receive an error message The operation could not be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100).
    Which Apple Icon,  where ?
    Laquelle Apple Icon, où?
IF I was Updating I would launch the App Store from the Apple iCon menu, top left.
Si j'ai été mise à jour, je lance l'App Store dans le menu Pomme iCon, en haut à gauche.

Please could someone offer some advice as this is really beginning to frustrate me.

I contacted Apple over the same thing and was advised it was a known issue and was being worked on by the Engineers. They said there was nothing to do but wait and try again over the next few days. Within 24hrs I could update again...do you still have the issue or did it also get resolved without you doing anything?

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?  I get "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100.)" when trying to check for softward updates on my iMac.  I have the latest version of Mountain Lion installed.

Apparently a server overload > NSURLErrorDomain error -1100

The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100.)

There are many people suffering from this problem right now (including me). It appears to be a server issue. Just wait and try checking for updates again tomorrow.
Some things I have heard indicate that this may be a regional problem, though what parts of the world are affected I don't know yet. A few people have been helped by deleting the following preference file (paste the path into the Go -> Go to Folder window in the Finder to locate it), though most have not:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Note that if you are trying to download iTunes 10.7, that can be found here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576
Also, note that there is no reason to be anxious to get it, as the only thing added in iTunes 10.7 is compatibility with iOS 6, which will not be available until the 19th, and the new iPhone, which will not be available until later as well. The new iTunes that was announced is iTunes 11, which is also not yet available.

It happened today as I tried to use the Mac App Store to check for updates. I haven't found such a code on the internet, so I was wondering what it might be. It worked last time I checked (a week or so ago).

I have been unable to upgrade my software through the App Store.  Originally I had been able to fix this by going to a friend's house and using their internet connection but now that doesn't work anymore.  The error message I am getting is: "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100.)(-1100)"

Not sure if it's an server overloading issue.  I'm only getting this error on my iMac 27" mid-2011 Mountain Lion.
It works fine on my Macbook Air 13" late-2011 Mountain Lion and Mac Mini Server 2010 LionServer.

  • Software Update gets "NSURLErrorDomain error -1100"

I'm getting a long hang and then  "NSURLErrorDomain error -1100" in the Updates tab of the App Store.  This happens both when I select the tab from within the App Store, or from Software Update in the apple menu.
I don't think I have anything that needs updating at the moment, but obviously I'd like this problem fixed!

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select "/var/log/install.log" from the file list. Post the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, start over and note the time.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

That error may result from connecting to a cellular network via a phone or mobile broadband device. If that's what you're doing, try another network.

  • When trying to use software update, get error NSURLErrorDomain error -1100

I don't know if this is a result of anything I did.  It started happening after I installed the latest version of Garageband.  When I went into that app, and selected one of the instruments, it directed me to use software update to get all the data for the instruments.  That's when I first got the message box.  Later, I uninstalled Garageband, and still the update problem continues.  Obviously, when this problem first occurs, it will have been after installing *some* app, so I have no way of knowing whether Garageband is involved.   I don't think I can update any of my applications until this problem is fixed.

  • SUS Updates all error with NSURLErrorDomain error -1100

    Hi
My 10.8.1 server ran out of space for updates so I switched the storage to a different volume.  Then the NSURLErrorDomain error -1100 errors starated appearing.  Thinking it was a problem with my server I reinstalled it and upgraded to 10.8.2.  I also wiped the storage drive. So its a clean install. But I'm still getting these errors.  No downloads have completed in 3 days.
Its the same hardware, the same ip, the same switch, that were all working before the server ran out of disk space.
Any suggestions on what to try now greatfully accepted.
    Cheers
    Jacqui

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
