NT Realm / User rights

Question

Hi,
I have implemented Authentication for Weblogic 6.0 with the NTRealm
solution.
Nearly everything is working fine now....
If I add a new Windows user with admin rights, I can see this user in
the
Weblogic Console, I can define ACL's and I can authenticate this user
with
my client server implementation.
If I add a new Windows user WITHOUT admin rights, I can see the user in
the
Weblogic Console too, I can define ACL's too, but I can't authenticate
this user
with my implementation.
It seems that the user is unknown during authentication.
But why??
Is there any requirement that all Windows users must be defined with
admin rights? Hopefully NOT, because this would be a bad thing!
Or is there any special Windows right/setting I must provide for these
users?

enabling security auditing in nt, look in the event logs and check whether
you see entries with "user denied this type of logon" (sorry, don't remember
the actual wording). if you run WL on an NT Server and if WL appears to do a
local logon to the NT security authority, then it's normal to have that
problem because by default, only administrators can perform local logons to
an NT Server. It's different with NT Workstation (where everyone can do a
local logon).
if this is the problem, if you need to grant the local logon rights to those
users (or - better - to the NT group the users are in, otherwise you need to
grant this privilege to any new user as it's added to the system).
