Ntpdate command returning the following error
Wave-AA#ntpdate 192.168.10.20
4 May 09:37:05 ntpdate[21029]: the NTP socket is in use, exiting
Failed to set software clock using NTP server 192.168.10.20
Wave-AA#
Getting an alarm on ther CM as well.
WAE clock needs to be synchronized with the primary CM to make time-sensitive features like statistics, status monitoring and event scheduling work correctly.
Has anyone scene this before? Seems it is most likely a server 2003 issue since this is being used as the time server. Any thoughts?
Hi Dan,
ntpdate will give you this error when ntp server is already configured. ntpdate is used to synchronize the clock once when you issue this command. If you disable the ntp server config by doing a no ntp server <> and then issue the ntpdate command then you will not see this error.

Kiran.

SQL Server Analysis Services (PowerPivot) instance returned the following error:
SQL Server Analysis Services (PowerPivot) instance returned the following error: Error Code: 3241607174 Description: A connection corresponding to the embedded PowerPivot data was not found in the

Hi Have Installed power pivot to and exsistinf farm standalone farm.
What Should be the connection in the Excel fiile?
Thanks
Ravi
RaviHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error with SQL Server Analysis Services.
Did you have installed PowerPivot for Excel on a client machine and modeled a database as part of this workbook?
The refresh in question is about refreshing the embedded Analysis Services database with data retrieved from the backend sources (defined when the database was originally modeled) and resaving the updated workbook. It should not be confused
with Excel / Excel Services options to refresh the data connections in the workbook. That option is about refreshing data stored in Excel’s caches. With regards to PowerPivot, that would be refreshing from the embedded database, not the backend data from which
the database was sourced. In summary, this feature will not work against a workbook which does not have an embedded database because there is no database to refresh. This is by design and should not be interpreted as indicating that there is something wrong
with your system.

For the error “The data connection uses Windows Authentication and user credentials could not be delegated. The following connections failed to refresh”.
There are multiple causes for this error message. The common factor behind all of them is that Excel Services cannot get a valid Windows user identity from a claims token in SharePoint.

When I try to add Site Feed (News Feed) in the SharePoint 2013, I get
“SharePoint returned the following error: Invalid URI: The URI is empty. Contact your system administrator for help in resolving
this problem” error message. Could you please provide me a solution or cause of this issue?
Many Thanks.Hi Aruna
To resolve this, You have to create and configure my site i.e.
Created a new web app for my site
Created the my site host site collection as the root
Provisioned the User Profile Service App
Configured the My Site URL in Setup My Site in User Profile Service App
IISRESET
Each environment is different and unique, ULS Log viewer is the key to identify and troubleshoot this.

Aargh! This is "by design" in my workstation deployment strategie .....
but only up to some point. I was forced to troubleshoot a not very well
deployed image (when will people read my instructions).
The workstation at this state had a line in the hosts file to prevent
registring the workstation. This should be deleted in the final state
of the workstation but hadn't.

www dot switact dot nl (not yet a very mature site) -
ZWSReg returned the following error code: 2
We've been forced to start using the zen4 because the 3.2 version
suddenly
stopped working, but when we start zwsreg.exe it exits with error code
2 and
doesnt create anything.
The only way i can get it to make a new workstation is by using
the -zenimportserver none and either specifying a custom new object or
by
specifying the policy, which messes up also by not naming the
workstation
propperly.
We've got it set up with Username-OS-Mac in the users container, when
i
specify the policy it generates the object with UsernameMac, it does
however
put it in the user container.
I also tried getting some logfiles in the workstations but its not
generating any, even after adding those registry keys mentioned in
TID10068910.
Shouldnt it just grab all its settings from the nds like wsreg32
withouth
having to specify any command line parameters ?
This is with the zen4 agent from zfdpatch3.
ArjanThe message appears when i try to start zwsreg. I did some messing
around
and pperantly this reg problem only appears on windows XP...
I managed to get the following on a win2k station.

I'm running a powershell command to add the email (AD mail) attribute to users in a specific OU. It seems to work then will bomb out with the error in the title.
I'm using a "scripting guy" command that I've altered with my specfic OU/domain information however, I'm pasting in the more "generic" version :: Get-ADUser -LDAPFilter "(!(mail=\.name*))" -resultSetSize $null -searchbase "ou=test,dc=nwtraders,dc=com"|
% {set-aduser -identity $_.distinguishedname -email ($_.samaccountname + "@nwtraders.com")}
I work for a school district and this command is being used to add the mail attribute to the student's accounts. I think about 2/3 of the students are completed but the script/command bombs and I'm not sure where or why. I've resubmitted the
command several times but I'm not sure whether it's starting from where it bombed or if it's starting again at the beginning and essentially re-doing the ones already completed.
Can someone point me in the direction of a work around or a resolution to the Get-ADUser error?
Thanks!!I don't know the error, so I can only guess there. But the LDAP syntax filter cannot be correct. Can you provide a link to the reference where "Scripting Guy" suggested this?
As written, you are retrieving all users where the mail attribute does not begin with the string ".name" (case insensitve), where "name" is not a property or attribute, but a string value. LDAP syntax clauses are in the format:
(<attributeName><operator><value>)
In your case, <operator> is "=", <attributeName> is "mail", and <value> is ".name". The "\" character is the escape character, which means to interpret the following character (the period in
this case) literally. You cannot use an attribute name on the right side of the operator (the "="), unless PowerShell has introduced some functionality I am not familiar with to expand the LDAP syntax. For example, the following does not filter
on users where the first name is the same as the last name:
(givenName=\.sn)
Instead, it filters on users where the first name is the string ".sn". Even if "\.name" was interpreted by the Get-ADUser cmdlet to be the "Name" attribute of the user, this would cause problems. "Name" is the
Relative Distinguished Name of the user (the value of the cn attribute) and it could include commas or spaces. I would expect "\.sAMAccountName" to make more sense.

Using Firefox 4 & Windows 7. Everytime I start Firefox from a shortcut to a website it comes up with the following error 'there was a problem sending the command to the program'. The requested website does load after this. with no problems.
If a shortcut is used while Firefox is already open the error does not occur. As reported in earlier replies, the annoyance disappeared after I upgraded to Roboform 7.5.6, from 7.5.4.

Hello,
I am trying to repair my Firefox profile, but I cannot open profile manager in Mac OS 10.5.8. When I follow the directions for opening profile manager in my Terminal utility, I get the following error: "dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022 Trace/BPT trap".
At this point, Firefox (v 5.0 or previous versions), is not running.
Thanks.[http://asqueella.blogspot.com/2010/12/dyld-unknown-required-load-command.html Here's an Explanation]. Basically you need to add "arch -i386 " at the beginning of the command because 10.5 is 32-bit only and more recent versions of Firefox default to 64-bit.

Error: The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error
Hi,
I'm currently having trouble building a JSP Portlet and registering it in Portal 902. I've followed all of the documentation and created the appropriate web.xml, provider.xml and _default.properties files as required. When I deploy the page to my local OC4J server using http://localhost:port/myapplication/providers I receive the following message:
Congratulations! You have successfully reached your Provider's Test Page.
Checking for components:
Portlets are: MyPortlet
When I then try and deploy the portlet in our development portal environment using the Enterprise Manager interface, and then test using the same URL as above, I receive the same message as above.
However, when I then try and register the provider through the Portal environment and try and "show" the portlet through a page within the portal, I receive the following error message:
Error: The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error
I'm not sure why it would work with my local OC4J instance, and on the Portal server itself, but not as a portlet within a portal page in the main environment. I will add the application log, the provider.xml and the _default.properties files to extra postings after this first message.
Any help would be much, much appreciated.
Best RegardsHere is the application log file after running the portlet:

Hi!
We have 5 Exchange 2013 servers and when I’m trying to run a script that includes the cmd-let Get-MessageTrackinglog with StartDate = the first of the month and with EndDate = the end of the month I get the following error message after
a couple of hours. The script is run on the server SERVER01 and goes through the Message Tracking logs of all Exchange servers. I have tried the script on other servers and get the same result.
Processing data for a remote command failed with the following error message: Error occurred during the Kerberos reponse.
[Server=SERVER01, TimeStamp = 918/2014 19:32:34]
For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : JobFailure

I have gone through “about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic”, but can’t find anything related to my issue. There is nothing in the Application or the Windows PowerShell log either.
/HenrikHi Henado
Check the time on your Exchange server(s) relative to the DCs and ensure they are in correct sync
Use another account which is assigned the Organization Management permission and log to to the server run the command in shell and see the results
Run
Add-PSSnapin -Name Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
Set-Adserversettings -ViewEntireForest $True and then run message tracking command and see the results
If none of the above helps you may need to remove and re-install the WinRM and see the results
Good Luck :)
