NTSC monitor? WHAT SYSTEM? AVCHD and how much RT?

I think you may have to copy and paste the url to the browser. The link does not seem to work otherwise.
The link above might help answer some questions. I am not saying my editing system is the best. A deckling card or even an AJA card would be better than using a converter and my computer is a mere $600.00. I am only posting this to help answer some of the questions that get asked many times on this forum. I have a cheap 2.66 GHZ Quad Core (Yorfield) 4 GIGS of RAM and an Nvidia 9400 GT.  I can only image what a 3.33 GHZ Core i7 would do. I went from a 2.13 GHZ Core 2 Dual to a 2.66 GHZ Quad Core. The switch was like night and day. It did not double or triple my RT but infact Quad droupled it.

Once you open System Profiler there should be a line called "memory" which is the RAM (vs. hard drive size which is not what is called memory), e.g., Memory: 1.5 GB
For video click on the line Graphics/Displays and look at the chipset line, e.g., Chipset Model: GeForce2 TwinView
Kappy's instructions are handy for checking the original configuration of your computer, but that may have been changed at some time, especially if you bought it secondhand.

  • How can I tell what video card and how much video memory does my iMac have?

    How or where can I find out: which video card does my iMac have and how much video memory does it have? I've tried looking in System profiler, but I did not see it there. Thank you.

  • "3265 du process" appears and disappears and occupies a lot of CPU System usage: what is that and how to remove that unknown process

    Opening the utility "activity monitor", I see a process that appears and disappears,  called 3265 "du" process. It occupies a lot of CPU % system (the red one in  the mac activity monitor utility). Anyone knows what's that and how can  I remove it?

  • I need to add more RAM, what do I do and how much do I need?

    I have an imac. It is a 21" 2011, 10.8 op system  with 4 gigs of ram. It has begun to show the "colored wheel" and a few of the programs that require a lot of ram lock up. I was told I needed more RAM. Where do I buy it, what kind do I need, and how much do I need?
    Do I need to buy it in pairs?
    Thanks for the help, Mike

  • Is there any command/query/etc, which would allow to understand what database objects (for example tables) are consuming memory and how much of it?

    TimesTen Release 11.2.1.9.6 (64 bit Linux/x86_64)
    Command> dssize;
    PERM_ALLOCATED_SIZE:      51200000
      PERM_IN_USE_SIZE: 45996153
    PERM_IN_USE_HIGH_WATER:   50033464
    TEMP_ALLOCATED_SIZE:      2457600
    TEMP_IN_USE_SIZE:         19680
    TEMP_IN_USE_HIGH_WATER:   26760
    Is there any command/query/etc, which would allow to understand what database objects (for example tables) are consuming memory and how much of it?
    tried to use ttsize function, but it gives some senseless results – for example, for the biggest table, tokens, it produces following output (that this table is 90GB in size – what physically cannot be true):
    Command> call ttsize('tokens',null,null);
    < 90885669274.0000 >
    1 row found.

    Are you able to use the command line version of ttSize instead? This splits out how much space is being used by indexes (in the Temp section of the TT memory segment), which I think is being combined into one, whole figure in the procedure version of ttSize you're using. For example:
    ttSize -tbl ia my_ttdb
    Rows = 4
    Total in-line row bytes = 17524
    Total = 17524
    Command> create index i1 on ia(a);
    ttSize -tbl ia my_ttdb;
    Rows = 4
    Total in-line row bytes = 17524
    Indexes:
    Range index JSPALMER.I1 adds 5618 bytes
      Total index bytes = 5618
    Total = 23142
    Command> call ttsize ('ia',,);
    < 23142.0000000000 >
    1 row found.
    In 11.2.2 we added the procedure ttComputeTabSizes which populates system tables with detailed table size data, and was designed to be an alternative to ttSize. Unfortunately it still doesn't calculate index usage though, and it isn't in 11.2.1.

  • How do I see a detailed view of what's on my hard drive and how much space it's consuming?

    I have an early 2007 iMac (3GB RAM) and a 320 GB hard drive.  I'm trying to clear some of the programs and files I don't need to free up space, but I'm not sure how to get a similar look at my files and how much space they take up individually (as I would with a PC).  Under system info I'm able to get the high-level overview, but how do I see a detailed view that I can then edit?

    Thanks for your help.  I did just that and was able to get a much better view with OmniDiskSweeper.  I was shocked to find that my MobileSync files were 125 GB of about 270 being used!  Guess I shouldn't be surprised with 4 iPhones and 4 iPads syncing to the same iMac at one time or another -- just kind of surprised Apple/iTunes doesn't make it any clearer that this can turn into a big problem if you don't initially create the appropriate backup settings for your devices.  Thanks again!

    No, you simply do not.  Apple does not sell insurance.
    Apple offers an Extended Warranty called AppleCare.
    Warranties doe not cover lost or stolen devices.  Buy a new one.

    I don't know. You'll have to ask.
    FYI, if the phone was not originally sold in India, it can not be serviced in India. You will have to take it back to the country where it originated.

  • I have imported a csv from my mortgage repayments, my father and I pay seperate amounts. I am trying to show how much I have paid vs what he has paid, how much is owed and what % we own.. We are 50/50 on the property

    I have imported a csv from my mortgage repayments, my father and I pay seperate amounts. I am trying to show how much I have paid vs what he has paid, how much is owed and what % we own.. We are 50/50 on the property.. Help?

    Hi Spears,
    I not sure what your actual question is.
    Does the CSV file include only your payments? Your payments and your dad's payments as separate items?
    Do you want to com[are ongoing payments, or do you want to compare the current totals paid by each? Is the 'we' in "what we own" collective, or individual? DItto for "how much is owed."
    Too many loose ends to tie down a clear answer.

    Barry

  • Activity monitor- "Installer" takes 5GB of memory. What is it and how to stop it?

    In the activity monitor, there is a process name called "Installer" and it takes up to 5GB of my memory. Each time I force-quit it, it comes back on. What is it and how to stop it?

    This is often due to a failed installation of genieo/installmac adware. You should be able to double-click the process in Activity Monitor to see the Inspect window, with a list of files used by it.
    There are removal instructions at
    You installed the "Genieo/InstallMac" rootkit.

    I have a iPhone 3GS (without warranty), but the battery is broken. I've heard of getting a refurbished iPhone. Can you explain me what it is expecially? Is it a new iPhone or what? Where can I buy it? And how much does it cost?

    I think all your answers can be addressed in a free session with an apple genius. All of your questions are about things that, as softwater points out, are free.
    you have time machine already on your machine, hit command+spacebar and type time machine, hit enter. time machine will come up. Follow the steps it says to set it up.
    Boot Camp (which I've never used) is also on your machine already. hit command+spacebar and then type Boot Camp. Hit enter. This is boot camp assistent. Use your CD of windows with this software and you'll be able to boot into windows 7.
