Null account_overlay_source_id column in xla_ae_lines/ap_ae_lines_all

Good afternoon everyone.
I'm not familiar yet with oracle EBS especially in functional side.
I have a requirements to create a report that will link ap to gl.
Now here's my problem, the account_overlay_source_id column which is the link between ap_invoice_distributions_all to xla_ae_lines or ap_ae_lines_all is null.
I was able to generate the report in other operating units because there is data in account_overlay_source_id column.
If thinking if there is a setup that needs to enable this to work but I don't know where to navigate.
p.s. data was transfer to gl in detail option.

Discoverer reports shows 'NULL' in columns where is no data

Discoverer report is showing NULL in columns where is no data.

In Discoverer BI DEsktop By default, it uses “NULL” text, but we can show Zero or blank then that report is executed as text report.
how can we set it as for all reports as default blank or zero.Have you reviewed the docs referenced above?

Using VPD/FGA to null specific columns for all but some users

I've been reading up on VPD and - though there a numerous examples - I'm having a tough time putting them together.
I have a table that - when most users select against - they should be getting NULL back in a specific column.
That column should only display for a select group of users as a value of other than null.
Can anyone help me out with an example of implementing this?
Any/all help is appreciated.

IN your case I guess you check for the user in the function who is executing the query (select user from dual), once you get the user see if this is a user who is suppose to see the columns values if yes return "1=1" otherwise return "0=1".

So the second column is seen as nullable if it's encrypted. Is this a bug?

The problem is like type casting the object or the datatype using to handle some field is unable to handle the data retrieved from database.
The problem may be like You are trying the get the string object and trying to store in Integer.
Can be the renge of datatype of variable used to hold a value is going out of range.
Its better to avoid using Select * from Tablename;
Instead use the field names maunally such as Select name,rollno from TableName;

lexical parameter intial value set to null
when i run this report , its not showing order number in output ,its showing null or a.order_number as text.

Display null rows / columns in matrix report

Hi,
Is it possible to display any character ('0' for example) in a matrix report where the entire row or column show no value at all ?
My matrix shows Row1 and Row2 with values but no Row3 at all like this:
Column1 Column2 Column3
Row1 value1 value2 value3
Row2 value4 value5 value6
But I would like it to show my rows 3 with '0's :
Column1 Column2 Column3
Row1 value1 value2 value3

Make your query return 0 with nvl(column, 0) and an outer join, plus some stuff to avoid a double outer join.
E.g. a sales per product per city:

How to validate if a column have NULL value, dont show a row with MDX

I have this situation, I have a Result from MDX that return rows with values NULL on columns, I tried with NON EMPTY and NONEMPTY but the result is the same. That I want to do is validate if a column have a Null value discard the row, but I dont know how

I have a derived column in my view and this column by default is picked up as not null.
I want to cast it to null how can i do it ?

How to remove gaps/null values from set of columns in a row

Im trying to implement a solution for removing null value columns from a row.
Basically in below example i have five codes and corresponding id's for that codes.What im trying to achive here is if
i have a null code then i have to move next not null code and id into its new location.

Interactive Report with Null Columns

I've got a user who wants to export an interactive report, and he needs certain columns to appear on the export for him to fill the data in later (this is an intermediate step, while we work on getting all the data he needs in to the database). I've created the report query, and there are a handful of null/empty columns (to preserve the correct order for the export). When I try to add this query to APEX in an interactive report, I get a "ORA-00001: unique constraint (APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS_UK2) violated" error.
Googling around shows me that this happens because of similarly-named columns, and the solution is to provide aliases to all columns. My report has aliases on all columns, but I still cannot create an interactive report. I've tried changing the null columns to empty strings, as well as enclosing the aliases in double-quotes, but nothing works. I can however use my original query to create a standard report, but due to the export requirement, this isn't ideal.
I was able to create the interactive report with one null column, and then edited the report source to add in the others. This had to be done one at a time, since trying to add multiple null columns at the same time gives the same error again. Unfortunately, when I try and run the page, I get an "ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined" error.

The problem is likely that you have two columns aliased as "projected_cost" (7th column and 11th column).
