Num ranges in module pool prog

Hi all,
i want to maintain a number range for my custom screen.
whenever i enter data in to the custom screen and press SAVE,it should create a automatic number and tht should b saved in the concern ZTABLE.
this screen belongs to Production Planning.
am maintaining this generated number as primary key in the ZTABLE.
any help will b rewarded with maximum points...

(a) We need to create number ranges in transaction SNRO
(b) Enter the number range object name and press CREATE.
(c) Enter the description, Long text and Number Length domain andWarning %(when you are about to expire the number range a warning must be given eg:if the range is 1 to 100 and 90 is created we need to be notified that 90 is over and only 10 are remaining ..accordingly we should reset the number range or do other necessary actions..eg:10% => when it reaches 90 in number range of 1 to 100 message is displayed)
enter Number length domain..which is the length of the range eg:if we put "NUM10" as the domain(check in se11->domain->num10) we can declare an interval with 1 to maximum of 9999999999 or less than that according to our requirement
(d) Press SAVE
(e)Now click on u201CNumber Rangesu201D button on the application toolbar
(f) Click on u201CChange Intervalsu201D.
(g) Click on u201CInsert Intervalu201D.
(h) enter the range which needs to be created eg:1 to 100
Click u201CInsertu201D and then SAVE. The number range object is generated
in the program we can use the function module, NUMBER_GET_NEXT, to get the next number of any number range object.
Also keep in mind that number range NUMBER_GET_NEXT be called on the click of that 'SAVE' button just before updating the Ztable .incase we have any errors in the module pool we need not worry about accidently creating numbers... if the code is wriiten in 'SAVE' action after complete requirement checks the issue will no occur

Select-options won't work if you declare the program as Module POOL.
if you wants to use select-options like utility in module pool programming
use ranges
declare and develop ranges and use that in select statement where condition.
ranges: r_vbeln for vbak-vbeln.

How to define RADIO BUTTONS in MODULE POOL PROG.?

Hi Experts,
I need to keep the RADIO BUTTONS in 1000_screen of my_module_pool prog., like,
I hv 2 fields in this screen, as expected, the first shuld hv DEFAULT selection.
So, I just simply, dragged & dropped 2 radio buttons from left menu of the screen builder & given them the names as
R_SUMMARY
R_DETAIL
Then i executed the transaction, but, these above 2 fields are getting selected, as default??
I know that, if its a REPORT prog. we can define as w/ a GROUP, then the 1st one is hv the default selection.
so,
1 - How to define RADIO BUTTONS in this screen of a module pool prog.
2 - How to use these names in the prog.(PAI - i guess)?

How to copy module pool prog one server to another server

hi Experts,
hi how to copy the module pool prog(mpp) one server to another server , like download and upload , in this i have 10 screen pbo , pai, includes , , in this mpp
will have other tcodes also ..
is this possible , if yes how give me step by step process

Do you have the ability to import a transport into your second server? The easiest way to accomplish this is to create a Transport Request in your originating system, release the transport, and have you basis admins import it into the second server.

Define Ranges in Module Pool

Hi,
i have defined an range in the Module Pool as shown ibelow.
data : ar_vbeln TYPE RANGE OF vbak-vbeln,
ars_vbeln LIKE LINE OF ga_vbeln.
but how to show this range in the Layout of the Module Pool , i mean the input & Output in the Moduel Pool,
Can anybody please help me.

main idea is: create a sub screen in your program and assign it to a sub screen area of your module pool screen in PBO.

I have called a Selection-Screen in Module Pool .
These were the steps which i followed to archive this.
1. Created a subscreen area in your screen layout (Main Screen- Module Pool).
2. In the Top Include of Module pool program declared a Selection-Screen as a subscreen.
     TOP-INCLUDE.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 400 AS SUBSCREEN.
    SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK d3 WITH FRAME TITLE text-003.
      PARAMETERS : grdate RADIOBUTTON GROUP r2 DEFAULT 'X' USER-COMMAND FR1. " GRN date
      PARAMETERS : crdate RADIOBUTTON GROUP r2 .       " Current Date

3. In the PBO and PAI of the Main Screen called Subscreen.

I have to do certain operations when the user selects the radio button on subscreen (which is actually a Selection-Screen).
I have tried to assign the function code to radio button and as this screen is a Selection-Screen I cannot use PAI and PBO.
Used the below code in TOP-INCLUDE.

MODULE POOL PROGRAMMING:
These are type M programs in SAP.
Screen painter is a tool used to create GUI in ABAP.
MPP provides screen painter to create a screen for the program.
These programs cannot be executed directly.
Customer-specified Transaction code (starting with Z or Y) should be created for each MPP program to execute.
We can create any number of screens for a program and we can call these screens very easily.
MPP programs should start with the naming convention SAPMZ or SAPMY.
SE80 is the Tcode to create MPP programs.
JUST TRY OUT THIS SAMPLE PROGRAM,
MODULE POOL PROGRAMMING:
This is also called as DIALOG PROGRAMMING.
User can make use of multiple screens in this type of programming.
These are type 'M' programs in SAP.
EVENTS IN DIALOG PROGRAMMING:
1. PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT (PBO)
2. PROCESS AFTER INPUT (PAI)
3. PROCESS ON VALUE REQUEST (POVR)
4. PROCESS ON HELP REQUEST (POHR)
Navigations to create a simple MPP program:
SE80 -> Select Program from drop-down list -> Specify program name starting with SAPMZ or SAPMY -> Press Enter -> Click on Yes to create object -> Create Top Include File by clicking on Continue icon in pop-up screens -> Save under a package -> Assign a request number -> MPP program with specified name is created with Top include File.

Activate all the objects of MPP program by right clicking on Main program Name -> Click on Activate -> Raises 'Objects Activated' message.
To execute the MPP program, specify Tcode name in the Command Prompt area -> Press Enter.

Module Pool+TOP+report prog,, Shuld I move to TEST individually?

I enhanced one Module Pool Prog., which contains 3 parts i.e.
1 - Main Module Prog.
2- Top include
3- One error report prog. i.e. executable prog.
So,
Now, I need to move this main Module prog. to TEST box,
So,
1) I guess I need to move to TEST box, all 3 individually, in the order of TOP , ERROR report prog., Main Module pool prog.
2) Or if I move the Main Module pool to TEST, automatically, SAP picks the rest 2 items, even though I did not moved manually?

This is depends on ur transport request ,did you save all programs in one request,if so it will go automatically.
if you create transport request indiviudlly ,then need to transport one by one.
anyhow check in se10 ->main request - sub request -> check ur objects.

Search help for date in module pool

Hi experts
i am developing a module pool prog, in the second screen 6 fields are displayed and one of them is date field. I wanna search help for that date field. Plz note the date field is populated from Work area of iternal table.

see this code for ALV report in which we used the Modules which is similar to Module pool
OOPs ABAP uses Classes and Interfaces which uses Methods and events.
If you have Java skills it is advantage for you.
There are Local classes as well as Global Classes.
Local classes we can work in SE38 straight away.
But mostly it is better to use the Global classes.
Global Classes or Interfaces are to be created in SE24.
SAP already given some predefined classes and Interfaces.
This OOPS concepts very useful for writing BADI's also.
So first create a class in SE 24.
Define attributes, Methods for that class.
Define parameters for that Method.
You can define event handlers also to handle the messages.
After creation in each method write the code.
Methods are similar to ABAP PERFORM -FORM statements.
After the creation of CLass and methods come to SE38 and create the program.
In the program create a object type ref to that class and with the help of that Object call the methods of that Class and display the data.

Issue Related to Module pool

Hi,
I have issue related to module pool Prog.
Actually i have one screen[Dialog] in that i am having one field License No as input enabled.
In that License No field when i press F4
i am using one Function module called REUSE_ALV_POPUP_TO_SELECT to populate some fields in it.
In SE51 i called that code as below.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
FIELD v_zzexgen MODULE f4_help_for_zzexgen.
Now when i select one row/record from all the populated records it is filling only value into License No[v_zzexgen] , There in the same screen i am not able to get the values for other fields like v_modco,v_gennr etc..
Though they are in populated screen.
Actually after calling POPUP F.M i had written follow code:
 READ TABLE i_pdata INDEX k_selfield-tabindex.
 IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
Then move all the fields of selected record into 9002 screen
 v_zzexgen = i_pdata-zzexgen.

Module pool-element list

can someone plz tell the steps to create element list in se51 and also the design of layout?

Run SE51 and go into the Layout. This is where you paint the screen. Once you save and activate the screen in this Layout window, the Element List is built automatically for you. The Element list is the objects (elements) on the screen.
To run a module pool prog, run t-code SE93. Create a new t-code for the program ZABC, for example.
Make sure to select the radio button for "Dialog transaction"
and then add short text and the Program's name and first (start-up) screen of the program.
Save the new t-code and then enter that new t-code into the fastpath textbox and press ENTER

Module pool / Screen Prog is there any standard SAP functionality ?

Hi I am creating a Module pool / Screen Prog. On this screen I have nearly 100 fileds , now I want to take print out of all the information shown on the screen for the same is there any standard SAP functionality ?
Does SAP provides any standarar ready made functionality for the same. ?

No, there is no standard functionality for this. dynpros are not designed to "print out". This is what list displays are for. That said, you will need to write your logic to kick off a list display with all of your field values there, then the user can print.
