Number lock wont come off

I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520 had no probs with it until this morning.
Went to type in my password and the numberlock is on and i have tried everything to get it off but i cant type in my pass word.
Things i have done already:
* Soft restart (alt's&del)
* hard restart (removed battery)
* pressed alt and shift
* pressed sym

yes a full restart and the lock still on, what it as doing is when I unlock it the lock icon comes and goes almost like flashing but no pattern, just on on on then flashes off for a second the on again. Was a pain to get it to reset.
Im thinking the switch may have failed in some way. Any thoughts on this or possible ways to fix it would be great.
I would be willing to fix it myself if there are instructions on how. and I could get the parts.

Did you:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I am having the same problem. As soon as I turn my shuffle on the light blinks orange three times and then no more imputs are accepted. No volume control, no changing songs, nothing.

What happens if you try to reset it? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute. Don't be afraid to try this more than once either. Persistence is the key here.
Otherwise, plug the iPod into some sort of external power source and let it charge for awhile and then re-attempt the procedure outlined above as many times as necessary.

I have a 4th gen white iTouch and I use iMessage alot. Sometimes the messages on there won't send and I don't know why. Today I clicked on
"Reset All Settings", because last time I did that, the iMessage started working again. But today it locked me out on the startup screen that shows when you first get the iPod. When I came home, I decided to just restore it to the original settings so I connected it to my laptop and did that. Everything went good except that when I go into "Photos", not all of them show up, and it says it "Dowloading 74 of 136". It has been saying that for the past three hours and I had to delete all my photos and it still won't stop saying that. and right now, iMessage isn't working again. I also deleted my account on iCloud because it just messed my iPod up even more. How exactly does iCloud work? And please, in simple terms.

Water stain on Aluminum body wont come off

So last night my girlfriend accidently spilt a little water on her Macbook Pro. The laptop was closed and in reality it was only a couple drops or so on the outer body, but unfortunately it has left a barely visible (hard water?) stain on the body. In all reality you can't even really notice it, unless you are at the right light and angle, but she swears she can see it and being a neat freak, it bothers her a little bit. Does anyone have any solutions as to how to remove this little stain? We are trying to find out what to use to wipe it off and clean it with.

Try white vinegar with a soft cloth. I would try it on the bottom first to ensure no mark is left behind. Be sure to clean area of all vinegar with a damp cloth once done. I invested in the invisibleSHIELD. Just a suggestion.

Bios/number lock light

first i wanted to update my bios from 1.0 to 1.6. I have a problem with the number lock light comes on after system is off for an hour or so dont know exactly how long but i didnt think that should happen.

sounds like a hardware issue with the battery
1. you can try different chargers if you have any
2. while plugged in, Hold the Home+Power at the same time for about 20 secs, if the apple comes up then release both buttons
3.if that doesn't work you may have to go into Apple store

IPod will not come off of lock

For whatever reason my iPod will not come off of lock even if it's not in the lock position. Since lock won't come off obviously I can't listen to my iPod or restart it. It charges perfectly fine when I hook it up to my mac. I restored it and it still won't get off of lock. I have no idea why it isn't working. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with the person who said to flip the switch back and forth 10-12 times....
but your hold switch assembly could be on the way out if this issue persists....

I did a hard reset to fix a frozen app. Now the number lock comes up straight away and will not accept my number. Was there ever a default number. Any help apreciated Alan.

There is no default passcode that will unlock your iPad.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
You will probably have to use recovery mode

My Apple Bluetooth Keyboard caps lock light wont shut off

My Bluetooth keyboard Caps Lock light wont shut off and it keeps eating the batteries everyday. I have to take the batteries out when Im not using it.
Just wondering if theres a fix to this issue or should I just get another one?

IPhone 4S switched itself off and wont come back on. Please help?

My iPhone 4S has started switching itself off randomly over the last week but would then switch itself back on several minutes later by itself. However, last night it switched itself off and no matter what ive tried it wont come back on. Ive tried the home+power button, connected to itunes and not, connected to itunes with the home button pressed. I rang the Geek Squad as I have insurance and they could suggest anything more. Im loathed to take it back to the shop as all the sales assistant will do is send it off, give me a rubbish temporary phone/brick and it will take ages to come back. I would be grateful if anyone can help please?

Hi, my phone eventually came back to life of its own accord the next day but with virtually no battery life even though I'd given it a full charge. After it came back on I plugged it in to be recharged but the back became very warm whilst the power drained quicker than usual after I unplugged it.
I took it to the Apple store later that day and thankfully the phone switched itself off again right in front of one of the Genius assistants. He couldn't diagnose the problem and so gave me a brand new handset straight away. Credit to Apple there and I'm so glad I didn't take it back to the car phone warehouse where I bought it from. They would have sent it away for tests for weeks.
I've had no problems with my new handset to date.
