Number of APs per VLAN
I know that is a best practice don't put more than 20 Access Points in the same vlan where is the management interface of the controller. But i would like to know the recommendation about other vlans.
I have serious problems when I put more than 20 APs in the same VLAN I loss conectivity with the other APs and i have to disconnect the 21th AP in order to recover communication with all the APs
I'm using WLC-4404, AP 1522 and Enterasys switches. What could be the reason of this problem?
You can have up to 60 ap's on a subnet other than the subnet the wlc is on. This is Cisco's recomendations. The reason why is the amount of broadcast generated by the ap's.

The only reason I can thing of why that "soft limit" of 60 Cisco AP's per VLAN exists is the default logging configuration of the AP's. This is the broadcast address so every other AP receives all those messages also, once you configure an syslog destination that is no longer the case. I don't have much experience with Meraki, but I think that they don't work with an external syslog server at all.
I hope that all the other devices are being segment it on a per floor basis? If not, please investigate if you can segment at least some floors together with there own set of "local" VLAN's. You don't want network traffic being switched in "global" VLAN's all throughout the building on a scale like that. -
Limit the number of session per user in the Wired dot1x environment with ISE 1.2

I need to check if there is any configuration/workaround to limit the number of sessions/access per user in the Wired dot1x configuration.
I need to check if this feature is available or not to solve the following scenario:
I have 2 SW ports configured to use dot1x authentication with ISE 1.2 server.
If user A connects to the 1st port and authenticated then he will placed on a VLAN based on the authorization profile.
The case, that I need to deny the same user to connect on a different machine with the same credentials.
The ISE itself does not have this feature currently, the only feature available is to limit the number of sessions for the guest user.
Is there any workaround on the Cisco switches to solve this? Cisco WLC has this feature and for the VPN we can limit the number of sessions also from the ASA itself.

Is it possible to have multiple WDS servers in one subnet?
I was wondering if entering an IP address at the option "Specified Discovery" for all APs could make it possible to have APs register themselves to a specified WDS AP in one subnet? My client will go well above the max of 60 WDS APs per server.Hi Bas,

How many infrastructure access points (APs) can a single WDS manage?
A single WDS AP can support a maximum of 60 infrastructure APs when the radio interface is disabled. The number drops to 30 if the AP that acts as the WDS AP also accepts client associations.
Can I set up more than 60 access points (APs) in a WDS that uses AP-based WDS?
Do not use more than 60 APs on one WDS master. You can run into CPU utilization problems with more than 60 APs. You can have multiple WDS masters, but they need to be on different subnets. An example is the use of:
One WDS master and 30 APs on 10.10.10.10
Another WDS master and 30 APs on 10.10.20.20
In this case, the issue is that you cannot fast roam between WDS domains.

RV220W Max DHCP Users (Max Connections) per Vlan
We assign (reserve by MAC actually) static IPs to all of our devices. Over time we have gotten rid of some devices but haven't begun (or finished really) re-using the old IPs. On our WRVS4400N v2 routers we are able to set the max number of DHCP users per Vlan. This prevents unauthorized devices trying to connect to our LAN.
For example. I set the range from 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.103. IPs 100, 101, and 103 are in use (reserved via MAC address). We set max number of DHCP users to 3. This prevents someone from gaining access to 192.168.1.102. Does this make sense? Or at least this was the initial goal and it tested out successfully back when we implemented it.
How can I do the same for with the RV220W? I can set the range, assign static IPs (reserve IPs by MAC address), but can't keep others from gaining accessing to our LAN via the unused IPs (not assigned a static IP).
My initial thought was to create static IPs (for the unused IPs) using dummy MAC addresses. I'm sure there is a much better way of accomplishing what I am trying to do.I still want to use the DHCP server because we don't configure the IPs in the devices. I shouldn't have mentioned static IPs. That was bad word choice on my part. We reserve IPs by MAC address in the router, then usually set the maximum number of DHCP users in the router. The RV220W seems to only allow start and end IPs addresses.

Here is a program to generate no of records and list of ODS and Cubes in Active version.Schedule this program in background and create a cube to load this information and schedule to the data from the file generated by the program. Schedule this all per you requirement.
1.Copy the code into your Z<programname> from Se38.
2.change the FILENAME in CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' in the program to the location from where you can pick the information to load data to cube(eg Application server).
3.Save program.
4.Schedule the program in background as required
5.Create cube with infoobjects to hold no of records and Infoprovider name
6.Load this cube based on event after the program job is done.
Hence you can report on this cube to see no of records in CUBE or ODS in your box.

In the OSB web gui, one of my users found that if the number of items per page is changed from the default of 30, the restore of the file will fail. He tested this using recent versions of Firefox and IE. We have verified this to also be the case using Chrome.
In a directory containing over 100,000 files, moving 30 at a time to find the one to be restored is a very frustrating user experience.
How do I file a bug report for this issue? Is there a workaround for this bug to enable my users to more easily find the file to restore without being restricted to the default of 30 items per page?Yes there is a bug in the webtool in the current release. You can use the commandline obtool to do the restore, that is much faster and works fine.

How can I re-establish the notification of the number of mails per folder?
The number of emails per folder always was shown in thunderbird but with the last updates regularly is lost. In the past the columns shown with the folders could be chosen - how can this be done in the new version (v.24.6.0 under windows 8.1)?

I've never had problems displaying the columns, with various TB versions or themes, but maybe you have another add-on that is causing the problem, or your pane layout has changed. What happens if you re-install the EFC add-on? -

FlorianDo you just need to change back and forth between 1 and some other number? If so, you can create two identical layouts, one with the "number of rows per page" preperty (on the repeating frame) set to 1 and the other layout set to whatever. You would have to have duplicate layouts for each group you wanted to do this with. Your format trigger on the outermost master group frame where num of rows was 1 would look like:

On page 9, Performance there is a chart that provides maximum numbers of connected users for various activities such as file sharing, mail, web, calendar, directory services and Time Machine and the CPU used as a server (Xserve, Mac Pro, Mac Mini). This information is a bit dated as the referenced software is Snow Leopard Server (OS X 10.6), and the hardware is older also, but it should give you a general idea of what you might need to look for.

In the new iOS-7 Safari, has the "reader" function been changed to eliminate the option to modify font size (and hence to modify the number of words per line), or is it just that I can't find how to do that?

Running AUDIT features on all services.
Report Application Server (RAS) keeps giving the following error in the Windows Application Event Log.
Maximum number of events per audit log file must be greater than 0. Defaulting to 500.
I am assuming that this is because the RAS is not being used by anyone at this time - and there is nothing in the local-audit-log to be copied to the AUDIT database.
Is there any way to suppress this error...?

The number of rows per page is greyed out when running in background?

For a customized transaction the number of rows per page cannot be set when running in background.
While a background job is created in SM36 after entering the report name and the selection variant name in the properties of Format the rows and columns field is greyed out.It was not editable.
Is there any settings to be done or in the custom program any code change needs to be done?

I'm a new labview user and I need some help in trasposing an old traditional NI-DAQ acquisition software in a NI-DAQ-mx one.
I followed the tutorial (#4342) but I found a problem with Analogue 2D DBL Multiple Channels Multiple Samples DAQmx Read Vi.
I'm trying to acquire 8 voltage signals from a NI-USB-6341 device. When the Number Of Samples Per Channel I set is below the number of channels (8), the software acquires only a number of channels equal to the number of samples per channel I set.
Is that a normal behaviour?

HT1535 Adding videos to iPhone 4s
