Number of concurrent a/v conference calls, and its bandwidth consumed.

I have two central sites and multiple branch sites. Each central site has one Front End pool. we are planning to replace Lync 2013 servers for hosting meetings, conferences ( audio, video and web)
My manager wants to know the number of concurrent audio/Video conference calls that our Lync Front End pools can handle and the bandwidth consumed by these calls. Can anyone here help with this or point me to where to find the right tool. I have tried using
Bandwidth calculator, it was not working well for me.

For Audio, assuming G722 (without FEC) it will be about 96Kbps per stream. So in theory that would be
over 1000 calls on 100Mb, however that doesn't take into account any other traffic that would be on the link.
For H.264 Video it can be anywhere up to 4000Kbps (HD), but it's unlikely that all your end points would be running 1920x1080 resolution and they will all negotiate differently. So without knowing a lot about your environment I would say on average (which
is just that between min to max around 50 video streams) or 128-250 streams at lower resolutions - so traffic through phones and slow connections (320x180-16:9/ 212x160-4:3 to 640x360-16:9/640x480-4:3) and
25-50 streams at the higher resolutions. So HD cameras and rooms systems, etc. Once again not taking into account other things on the network.
With regards to the pool themselves, follow the hardware specifications required which you can check using the capacity planning tool http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36828 the
supported maximum however for a large conference on a single pool is 250 participants.
As I mentioned it's almost impossible to give definitive numbers because there are so many variables, but hopefully this helps a little.

Create a conference call. While on a call, tap Add Call, make another call, then tap Merge Calls. Repeat to add more people to the conference.
    Drop one person: Tap next to a person, then tap End.
    Talk privately with one person: Tap , then tap Private next to the person. Tap Merge Calls to resume the conference.
    Add an incoming caller: Tap Hold Call + Answer, then tap Merge Calls.

Conference call and get disconnect tone

Hi,
I had a issues as below:-
Now have 5 party in conference call, 2 from internal and 3 call to PSTN's user. Suddenly one of the PSTN user call are drop then the remaining user in conference call are hearding the disconnect tone for few minutes. May I know how to shorted the disconnect tone or totally no disconnect tone after the PSTN user disconnect? Please let me know how to solved this.
I using CUCM 6.1 and conference station 7936.

Hey! Most likely it is an engineering issue, should be fixed soon with the newest update.

You ARE roaming. You turned off your data, but you are still roaming when making calls, and texting. If you blocked all roaming then you wouldn't be able to make calls/text or receive calls/text.

Messages beta (and therefore Messages in Mountain Lion) can do all the things iChat can do.
Messages Beta adds an "Account" (But not a Buddy List) that allows you to use any Apple ID to be linked to your iMessages Account.
iMessages allow you to send messages to your iPhone or iPad or rather to other people's using either thier Apple ID or their iPhone Number and for the messages to sync across all your devices.
i.e. you can link your Apple ID to your iPhone Number and use the Apple ID on an iPad and in Message (beta) as well as the iPhone and messages will be synced.
Another way to say this is that iMessages have been added to iChat and that the basic iChat Engine remains as the main component.

Hi I use my phone for conference calls and use the microphone jack to connect to speakers. It doesnt work when making phone calls but when i play music on the phone the jack works with the external speaker.

Verizon recording cut into my conference call

Verizon recording cut into my conference call and everyone (100 people on the call) heard it. I was listening to the conference with the mute on (*6). My phone rang--which everyone heard--and the Verizon message that goes to the caller came on. Everyone on the conference call stopped talking as verizon said, "The person you are trying to call cannot be reached at this time. Please call later." This went over the conference call twice. Can I prevent this or is it a Verizon glitch?

Whilst I have no idea about Verizon ,I use a similar device in UK receiving cellular over broadband in property and I have wired broadband with unlimited use
However the device is certainly using bandwidth over my wired service when active
I would try to get a definitive does it or doesn't it and if not then they will cover any cost if they are wrong

How to hang up on conference call on CDMA without hanging up on the first one?

Is it possible to start a conference call and then disconnect with the second person called and stay on with the first on CDMA network?

When someone hangs up it still says conference call and then I am no longer able to make a new 3 way call.... the other person could be there on the phone still but it makes me wonder if i am being charged mins for the other person still cause it still shows conference still. Hi, lately I have been troubled by this problem - when I am conference calls and tap on the mute to put myself on mute so the line stays clear, however, I come to realize that this mute function doesn't work any more, other parties on the line can still hear noises (airport, etc.) from my end. This is very annoying problem and I tried to do some research on the web and can't seem to find any useful fixes to resolve this issue.

I completely agree. and sometimes its the easiest, simplist things that go wrong with phones. Are you in a position to update to the latest OS? Sounds like a software issue, the update just may very well fix that.

IOS 8/8.0.2 reboots during call and then comes back

I have seen issues with IOS 8 and 8.0.2 on both an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 6 where I am on a conference call, and the phone goes dead to the white screen with the black apple, then 30 seconds later, the phone comes back on with the previous call still connected. Has anyone else seen this issue? I have seen this issue at least once a day since upgrading to IOS 8 on my iPhone 5 and my receipt of my iPhone 6 and then subsequently on IOS 8.0.2

This very same thing everyone here has posted about happened to me this very evening. I only found this post by googling around as there's not too much.
I have a 5c, my friend has a 5s. Both of us running 8.02. During a call, first my phone cut out like the call dropped and I see the Apple logo on screen like its rebooting. I'm like "what the..." but before I can even say the word, my phone is back at the home screen and my call resumes. Even the call time counter kept counting like the call never dropped. But I could not here my friend though he said he could still hear me.
The strange part of this is within a couple of minutes the exact same thing happened to my friend on his phone during our same call. Apple logo, screen reboot, he can't hear me for like 5 seconds and then all is normal again. He suspects the NSA; I say loose bolts in the plumbing.

Unable to split up conference call on iPhone5

When i am on a conference call and i want to disconnect one of the callers, my only option is to disconnect the conference call all together!!! I called verizon wireless and they said "verizon removed that feature"!!! This is really frustrating and annoying!!!! when are they going to reactivate that feature again???? If nokias or sony ericsons from the 1990's were able to split up a conference call why can't a futuristic iPhone do that??? Also if i am on conference call and want to speak on one of the parties privately, i am unable to do that either!!!

Sistema->Ajustes->Personalización->Gestionar notificaciones-> Aquí hay un apartado de "inhabilitadas" comprobar que InCallUI esté activada (tick verde)
Ahora ya puedo utilizar el teléfono con normalidad.

If for some reason you can not pick up the calls:
System-> Settings-> Customization-> Manage notificaciones-> Here is a section of "disabled" check InCallUI is on (green tick)
Now I can use the phone normally.
