NUMBER OF CONTACTS IN LIST

Just got the N80 and am still finding my way around. I have copied all my contacts over -- I hope -- but cannot be sure. I cannot see anything that might tell me the precise number of contacts I have in the address book. Does anyone know where that info might be stored?

Hi Demirep,
Muumi is actually semi-correct. Its:
1. Start 'Contacts',
2. Press the 'Options' button, and
3. Select 'Contacts info'
Mine display:
426 Contacts
0 Groups
129 kB Used
39865... Free
My firmware is:
V 3.0617.0.6
You can get the firmware level by keying in:
*#0000#
Hope this helps.
Cheers. ^_^Message Edited by sysinit on 16-Aug-2006

  • ISync copying only first number from contacts in list

I am running iSync 3.0 (568.0) on Mac OS X 10.5.2 (9C31) and connecting to a Motolrola RAZR V3c. The computer and phone recognize one another and seem to sync fine—except that only the first phone number listed for each contact of the designated list is transferred to the phone. Does anyone know why iSync isn't transferring and/or the RAZR isn't recognizing the subsequent phone numbers?

OK. Found the problem. I had reset the phone and now the RAZR was only showing the PRIMARY contacts - they were all there after all but weren't being shown.
To change this on your RAZR, go to the phone book, select the middle top key for options, scroll down to "Setup" and change "View" to "All Contacts".

Uninstall and try the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool before reinstalling - it helps resolve installation problems for CS3 thru CS6 and for Creative Cloud

  • Is there a maximum number of contacts in an Address Book group?

I have 4,367 contacts. I'm trying to create two different groups, one for my wife and one for me. The majority of the 4,367 contacts will be in my group.
I've tried several time but keep getting the same result.
On the iCloud website I create a new group with my name.
I copy several letters worth of names (say the As through the Cs) from All Contacts lists to the David list.
Everything works fine until I finish the Rs, with about 3,800 contacts. I've tried it signing in and out and everything sticks and looks fine.
From then on every name I add appears under the R banner (see below) and, once I sign out and sign back in, disappears.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
I'm using a 6 month old 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 running OS 10.7.4. Not experiencing problems in any other area.

Thanks for the link. I don't think it's a space issue. When I look at my iCloud account through System Preferences it shows that I've got 24.99GB of 25GB available (it's just the Contacts and a personal Calendar).
The rules on limits, though, are really confusing. Total number of contacts 25,000 - I can understand that. Maximum size of a contact card 256KB - ok, I see how if you have War and Peace in the notes section that would be a problem. But what does it mean that maximum size of a contact group is 256KB? That's the same size limit as a single card so I assume they're referring to the size of the list of contact cards in the group. But how many contact cards equals 224KB?!? Based on experience, I'm guessing it equals about 3,800 contact names (which frankly doesn't seem like a lot to me - I've been collecting contacts since I got my first Palm Pilot in 1996, which comes to around 225 names a year, not a lot if you're in business).
Anyway, thanks for the help. If I run across a solution somewhere, I'll post it.

  • Can't show multi-phone number in Voic Call list (N...

Before I update the OVI (not show what version), my address book can show multi phone number in both Voice Call, Message and Video Call. But right now, it can't show multi-phone number in voice call list (others are still OK). I can only select the one I wish to show via OVT suit now. Why? This is not good, how can I modify all default setting when I travel out?

    Hey Marklai62,
Looks like your C7 is set to use some number as default dial for voice call. You can change it from your mobile by opening the contact->option->defaults. Under this option, set voice call default to "No Defaults"

  • Is there a limit to the number of contacts you can put in a group?

When I set up a distribution list on my PC, I was limited as to how many addresses I could have.  Does the contact software on an iMac limit you to the number of contacts in a group?  Can it be 200?

That would make sense as LaunchPad doesn't have a scrolling view. It should only allow as many as can be displayed on a single page.

Using Mountain Lion (OS 10.8), in Contacts, how can I show a count of number of contacts total and/or number of contacts in a group?

If you scroll the list to the bottom, there might be a count. I haven't figured out why you sometimes get a count and other times you don't.

  • Contact phone list in Nokia 6555

I just upgraded my 2 LG1400 phones that I had for 3 years to 2 Nokia 6555s & am suppossed to receive them tomorrow by FedEX.
In the LG1400, you had an option of keeping your Contact phone list either on the Sim card or in the phone itself.
I preferred keeping them only in the phone because it allowed you to list several phone numbers for each contact.
However, since it was not saved on the Sim card, all of your contacts were lost if you ever had to remove your Sim card for whatever reason (which returned the phone to its inital state each time).
Saving the list to the Sim card was much safer, but it made you enter a different contact for each phone number of a particular contact. i.e.- if 1 contact had 3 phone numbers, it required 3 separate entries.
QUESTIONs are: Does the Nokia 6555 work the same?
Which method have you found works best for you?

    UPDATE:
This morning (Thursday 5-8-08), I went to the local AT&T Mobility store.
They said they COULD transfer my contact list from my old LG1400 to my new Nokia 6555 using a cable they had that would connect both phones together.
But, before she went to the back to get the cable, she said she would try something even more simple.
She took the SIM card out of my old LG1400 & put it in my new Nokia 6555.
LO & BEHOLD, it accepted it!!!!!!
Then she merely copied my contact list off of the LG1400 SIM card to the phone memory of the Nokia 6555. Then she put back the Nokia 6555 SIM card back into the Nokia 6555 and merely copied the contact list from the phone memory of the Nokia 6555 to the SIM card of the Nokia 6555.
    ALL WENT PERFECTLY!!!!
I now have the contact list from my old LG1400 in two places in the Nokia 6555: In the phone memory AND on the SIM card.
Of course, that now means that every entry in my contact list shows up twice. But, I can easily cure that by deleting the contact list from my phone memory & leaving it only on the SIM card.
Since my contact list on my old LG1400 was only on the SIM card, that is where I think I will leave it for a while.
LATER, I expect to take each contact one at a time & transfer each to the phone memory which would enable me to list the various telephone numbers for each contact. That would decrease the number of items in my contact list since most of my contacts have more than 1 telephone number.

  • Incoming or outgoing calls remove the phone number from Contacts

For the past several days, if I call out— using Contacts or shortcuts in Phone— the phone number is then deleted from the Contact address card for that person.
Not only can I no longer go to a contact and call out (the phone numbers are gone) but incoming calls and call history have no names attached to them (which is how I found out that the numbers were being deleted from the Contact cards).
Anyone else heard of this? I have tried restarting and resync-ing but the problem persists.
And is a HUGE issue as it makes the phone part of the phone fairly useless as it no longer stores any phone numbers. Luckily, I still remember some contacts by heart.

I'm having a similar problem, although there is no pattern I can figure out. Mine just randomly eats contacts. I even had the VERY weird experience of having a contact disappear, but then when that contact called my phone, the contact was recognized. When I tapped the little arrow to the side of the listed contact (in recent calls) it pulled up all the contact info. I had the option of adding to favorites, which I did, to see if it would re-add to contacts, but it DIDN'T. So now that contact is listed as a favorite, but still is not in contacts. What the heck? This is a big big problem. I can't have contacts disappearing on me.

  • I cant find the number of contacts in my iphone IOS7 by either going in thru the contact appl or the phone

How can I find the number of contacts in my iphone. When i go in thru either the contacts application or thru the phone i don't see the number at the bottom of the contacts. I have IOS7. I also saw in one of the postings that you could find it thru the Group in the upper left hand corner but I don't know where to find that. Thank you for your help

If you are a Verizon user try this:
Open the phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
When the system answer press 1 for "Program or activate your phone"
Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating "Settings updated."
Double tap the Home button to bring up the recently used apps list at the bottom.  Locate the Phone, Message, and Contacts apps, swiping if necessary, and press and hold until they jiggle then press the red minus sign to stop them.
    Wait a 3-5 minutes.
Try your phone again and see if it's fixed.

  • Finding out Idoc number of the Invoice List

    Hi!
how to find out Idoc numberr if I have number of Invoice List?
For example, I have number of Invoice List for checking it in tcode VF22, but how to get Idoc number of the Invoice List in order to check it in WE02?
    Will reward,
    Mindaugas

    Hi,
Use NAST with the invoice to get the latest record for that output type..
use the table CMFP to get the IDOC number..The combination is
    NAST-CMFPNR = CMFP-NR..
Then in the column CMFP-MSGV1 you can find the idoc number

  • How to block a number making contact

I need to block a number from contacting me

Call your carrier and ask them to block the number. The majority of carriers offer this service.
Anything you do on your iPhione is to late because the call has been made. To block the call your carrier must to the blocking on their servers before it is made. Any app that claim to be able to do that are SCAMs.

  • How to count number of CRCResults in list CRCResult ?

I obtained the list<CRCResult> from GetContentSpace  operation. I need  to know ,how many files  are in the folder in ContentSpace (from wchich i've obtained list<CRCResult>). How should I figure it out? I tried  get-list-item-count  to count, for example, number of attributeMap in list, didn't work out.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi!
I'm afraid I cannot answer as to how this is achieved through using the default operations within the Workbench processes, but it's quite simple if you were to make a custom component in Java to do this for you.
Given any List<CRCResult>, just call the .size() function and you'll get the count back.

  • How do I find the number of contacts in a smart group?

How do I find the number of contacts in a smart group in Contacts?

    Hi,
To get the depth using JMS you must create a QueueBrowse and browse the entire queue. Its generally horribly inefficient if you want to do it with any regularity.
In Hermes I have had to write plugins that open separate connections to providers using their non-JMS APIs or JMX and get that kind of information that way.
Look at the getDepth() method in this JBoss plugin for an example that uses JMX:
    http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/hermesjms/Hermes4/src/java/hermes/ext/jbossmq/JBossMQAdmin.java?view=markup
And here is one for WebSphereMQ that uses one of its many APIs..
