Number of "hits" on iweb...?

How can a "hit" counter be incorporated in iWeb, or elsewhere on iMac?

Hi,
Is there any way that number of hits can be diaplayed in the result list of IC agent Inbox.
Currently its does not diaplay the number of hits. But this is available in standard search.

We have recently upgraded from CRM 5.0 to 7.0.
We have enhanced the Inbox view to meet our requirements. After that I dont see the number of hits being displayed.
I see it appearing in standard search view
But how can I display the hits in result view. How can this be achieved

Search help how to restrict number of hits.

I have created a search help in SE11, the search help reads a table view and the search help is connected to
exit HRMC_PREM_EXIT_A in HR. Everything works fine except for that I want to restrict the number of hits to 500, I don't want to get a result of 5000 hits because that search takes too long time.

we are currently having the problem in IC that when somebody try to identify an account of an BP with more that 100 related sold to parties, that no account is displayed because of the standard max number of hits 100.
I have found the path to customize this in the SPRO but this sentence in the SAP help is making me some headache:
The higher the number you enter here, the more results the system will search for, and in turn, the more performance is affected. The maximum number of hits that the system allows is 100, which is also the default value.
I understand the point of the performance, but does this mean that the performance is also affected the account identification of the other BP with less than 100 related sold to parties?
Can anybody help in this issue?
We are working on CRM 5.0.

The bug of nothing displayed if over 100 accounts are found is solved with [SAP note 1467929|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1467929.]
The code you are referring to is:
IF bpident_profile-max_hits IS INITIAL.
max_hits = 100.
ELSE.
max_hits = bpident_profile-max_hits.
ENDIF.
It means that, if blank, 100 hits is considered. You can modify the customizing up to 255 results since that is the limit of accounts to be found.

WD Applications - number of hits WildCards

Hi,
I have an ABAP WD application with select-options.
Wild card is working but when I do for example 23* to 25* it is not bringing in all numbers which starts with 25* ..But it is bringing up entries for 23... & 24....
if I do 25* in lower field it is bringing up entries..
Do you think it is a number of hits issue?
If so how do i resolve this?

Spam term "number of hits"?

I am trying to understand this underpinning of combatting spam, referring to the "number of hits required before mail is considered spam." What does it mean? "Number of hits?"

I would set Mail in the prefs to combat junk mail, and set it to send the spam to the junk mail folder encase a legit message gets classified as SPAM. I am sorry but Mail does not offer many features for fighting SPAM. There was allot more in Entourage.

SE16 restricted to a pre-defined max number of hits

our consultants use sometime Tcode SE16 for end-users support purposes.
I would like to restrict the output of SE16 on any tables to a predefined maximum number of hits (5000 or 10000 for examples) to avoid huge selections with bad performance on the server.
Do you know any way to restrict it with a standard or custom tool ?

The global setting of this property can be found at: menu Help -> Settings -> choose tabstrip "F4 Help"
There you can define the max. number of hits to be displayed. This setting is valid for all DB selections. The users have to set this property on their own.
NOTE: The menu Help is found on any screen.

Problems with getting the number of hits in the document.

I need to get the number of hits in the document.
I use the query template for this porpose as:
SELECT d.id, score(1)
FROM document d
WHERE contains(d.content,'<query>
<textquery>SEARCHWORD</textquery>
<score datatype="INTEGER" algorithm="COUNT"/></query>',1)>0
AND d.id=1
problems:
1. If I have some synonyms associated with SEARCHWORD in OracleThesaurus and in case if document contains these synonyms they are not counted.
2. could you explain the following results returned by query above:
search query: word1 - numberOfHits=10
search query: word2 - numberOfHits=8
search query: word1 OR word2 - numberOfHits=10
i suppose that numberOhHits=18 for a query: word1 OR word2

1.Synonyms (and generally thesaurus query extensions) cannot automatically uses in queries. You MUST expand you query using SYN function yourself. Query you write just applicable for only KEYWORD search. 
2. Ask yourself. I'm not seen your data. ;)

One select Statement - Number of hits displaying in ST05

I am using single select statement on MARA table along with that using SELECT FOR ALL Entries,
However, I am getting number of hits for each records in ST05 like 2,3,8,2,2 etc.
I need to reduce number of hits by using single query only... please suggest..

I'm asking because i've never heard or seen this before as a problem reg. identicals
for FAE. Only duplicates in driver tables or multiple executions of the FAE with the same
driver table contents (or parts of it).
If we have a smaller select field list we may read too many records which are thrown away in thd database interface
because of the distinct property of the FAE (distinct sprsl in the 2nd case) but we don't see identical selects in ST05.
How does a FAE that produces identical selects with unique driver table that is executed once look like?

Maximum number of hits when searching in PA20

Hi,
when in PA20, I perform a search based on (for example) last name and I only enter a * as search criteria (in other words I perform a search on all employees), in our development system the maximum number of hits displayed is 5000.
In our testsystem the maximum number of hits is not maximized.
Does anyone know whether this is a general setting? If yes, which setting is this?
If this is not a general settings, how is determined whether the hit list is maximied to a certain number of hits or not.....

You can change the Maximum No.Of Hits in the below manner.
Go to your desired transaction .Here PA20 there select the menu Help where u can see in the screen top.
From Help,select the last sub menu i.e Settings.
You will get Tabstrips with 3 tabs.select the tab F4 Help.
There u can find the option to change the "Maximum Number of Hits to be displayed"

Maximum number of hits in Document overview (ME21N/ME22N/ME23N)

This number is defaulted to 5000. The help text states that it is the maximum number of hits that are to be displayed.
In my opinion this relates to the result.
In reality I notice that it relates to the first selection in the database.
For example.
All purchase order for a given vendor (+9000 PO-items in the database, 110 without history).
Selection of PO's without goods receipts.
Using the the default value of 5000, the program gives the message "No suitable documents found"
After clearing the max. number of hits, the correct selection is made.
Suppose I would like to see the 10 oldest open PO's, this would not be possible.
Is my assumption correct ?

I think there´s something not working correctly in your search, as the 5000 refers to the maximum number of hits that will be shown. I would recommend to open a ticket at SAP.

It appear in KSB1 --> More Setting ---> Maximum Number of Hit
where can we set the default maximum number of hit so that every time I don't need to change it.

go to SE16 , enter table name RSEUMOD, enter ,
select "TBMAXSEL" and execute, u will get a list of all users , against a username , there will be a field TBMAXSEL, click on the pencil icon on top of table, inside the table against the field TBMAXSEL , enter the desired number of hits and save

Watch the number of hits on a char while reporting

I want to create an aggregate for a characteristic in a report. But i don't know on which char i have to build the aggregate. How can i know that, as far as i know based on number of hits for a char we can decide this. Where can we watch the number of hits?

If you don't know on which characteristic you have to create the aggregate its good to created aggregates based on system proposals, for that statistical data should be available in the system upto date.
while creating the aggregate you can consider the system proposal, then the system will check the statistical data ans based on that aggregates will be created.
After the above task observe the new aggregates some days, so that you can judge which aggreage is used frequently based on the column "valuation", it it contains more number of "+" symbols that is good aggregate and eventually you can retain the effective aggregates and you can delete the unwanted.
you can run the report in RSRT debug mode to know which underlying objectes (aggregates / info cubes of a multiprovider etc) being hit.
