Number of lines in BW reports

Hi Friends,
In BW output reports we have thousands of lines of data.
we are able to see only 25 lines of data one at a time, with next button click next 25lines are visible.
How can we change this setting from 25 lines to 100lines in reports.

Tony,
if you are using a template in your Web Application designer, open the template - select the Table item and look at it's properties.
Number of Data rows displayed at once is currently 25, change this to what you want.
Rows scrolled for each step is also 25, again change this to your required number of records to view.
You will have to change this setting on each of the web templates you have already published.

Hi I am not sure but you can try like devide table entries in multiple internal tables.
Create saperate ALV Report and give customized button(Next and Back) to each report will have interlink to this reports.

Display number of line items in my report at the title bar

i would like to ask, how am i going to add in the number of line items to be display under the title bar above of the SAP. example similar to SE16, where it will show you the number of lines under the bar above.

How to insert horizontal lines in alv report?

hi,
    i have to insert horizontal lines in alv report.( RM07MLBB )
        actually my requirement is:
                           basis list = RM07MLBB.
first secondary list = another report is called here ( RM07DOCS )
                  i want to insert horizontal lines in the first secondary list, when i execute individually RM07DOCS , i can get horizontal lines, but when i dounle click in the basic list --> in the first secondary list , i am not getting the horizontal lnes.
functional modules used are REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY & REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
    here in this program,
                    is_layout = alv_layout.
hence i tried to give
              alv_layout-no_hline = ' '.
but not effecting.
          can some one please tell me , how to insert lines in the alv report.

hello,
     so i cannot insert horizontal lines in the first secondary list according to my sorting condition, i.e., in a single block there should be :
       if same delivery challan number is repeating they should come in the same block,
for the corresponding delivery challen number, if have po number, is repeating , they also should come in the same block.
                   in this way i have to seperate the blocks containing EXNUM , EBELN CONDITIONED.

Number of line items in each Invoice

Hi Gurus,
I have one requirement
i need to display one column in the Report i.e. "Line items per eachinvoice" which should give the number of line items per that Invoice
when iam using tcode 'FB03' at ECC - Document Display it is giving
for Doc 1111 - 2 line items
for Doc 2222 - 12 line items
so in the report that column should display
2 for Doc 1111
12 for Doc 2222
please guide me how to do this

and set the exception aggregation as Total, and set the reference char as Line Item.

Number of Line Items Issue at the time of Payroll posting

Dear All,
While creating a posting document (Payroll posting) for FI, the maximum number of line item allowed is 999 where as I have 1464 line items. I am creating only one document based on Company code and it is giving me the following error, which is because of number of line item;
Acct determination not defined for trans. HRA 1002 in chart of accts AGCA
Message no. F5113
Diagnosis
An automatic posting cannot be created because the account determination for transaction HRA with keys 1002 is not defined in chart of accounts AGCA.
System Response
The document cannot be posted.
Procedure
Depending on the type of processing, you can hold the document and post it later. If this is not possible and the error cannot be eliminated straightaway in customizing, you must leave processing and enter the document later.
Procedure for the system administrator
Correct the account determination for the specified transaction. Proceed

Total Number of line items in FBL3N

Hi,
I would like to have total number of open items (entries) as on 12/31/2008 for all B/S accounts. I just want the number.
I can go in BSIS and click on number of entris but I have 1000's of Gl account to know the total number of line item.
Is there any way I can get the number of open entries for too many GL account.

How to resrict number of line items in IDOC Payment file

Hai
I had an issue where user wants to restrict the number of line items in the payment IDOC file. Is there any possibilty to restict these number of line items to 6.
Because the user has some reporting problem with the bank regarding the IDOC file

Hi Akash,
Execute transaction code WE20 and open up the "Partner Type B - i.e. Bank". Select the bank in question. To the right of the screen, you would see 3 different sections. You are interested in the middle section "Outbound parmtrs.". Highlight the "Message type" (e.g. COSMAS - Master cost center) you want to reduce the size and click on the "Display" icon just underneath it. In the "Outbound Options" tab, change the "PacketSize" to 6 and save your entries.
Repeat this for all other outbound parameter "Message Types" for this bank. e.g. "EUPEXR - Reference message for electr. signature (for ext. payments)" and "PAYEXT - Extended payment order" etc. That is, change the "PacketSize" for each to 6 and save your entires. This would reduce the number of each set of messages sent to the bank to 6.

TOP n sometimes gives wrong number of lines (SSRS 2008 SP1)

Hello all,
a workmate has created a dashboard report which contains (among other items) a top n chart item. The user can select the value of n using a report parameter. We have observered that for some values of n and specific values of the other parameters the chart shows the wrong number of lines (bars), e.g. I choose to select TOP 5, but the chart shows in some cases the TOP 6.
Is such a behaviour already known?
I will try to create a minimal sample for reproducing this behaviour during the next few days.

Hi Jerry, I already tried this but for some reosan when i add the second filter data mismatches, I have used sort on $$ which is a requirement in my case.

It displays only ten rows but you can see some of the rows Bro, Chi are missing(not sorted as above) when second filter is added on Desc column

Conditinoal formatting - How to highlight even lines in a report ?

The report standards folks in my team came up with a new standard i.e. highlight all the even number lines in the report so that the report will be more readable. Is there an easy way to do it using format triggers or something ? The entire row or a group of rows needs to be highlighted. How to accomplish this ?

Hi Suresh,
If a line is equivalent to a row of data, you can put the format trigger in the repeating frame for that row. To count the rows, you can create a running count by having a summary column in that group which does the count and resets at report or some higher level. If :running_count mod 2 = 0 then you can execute the code in your format trigger, otherwise, just return true.

There is no system variable to find total no of pages but you can use the following to get that one.
Declare a variable
DATA L_PAGE_COUNT(5) TYPE C.
Copy this code to the end of program
Page count will be printed on each page here
    WRITE SY-PAGNO TO L_PAGE_COUNT LEFT-JUSTIFIED.
    DO SY-PAGNO TIMES.
        READ LINE 1 OF PAGE SY-INDEX.
        REPLACE '-----' WITH L_PAGE_COUNT INTO SY-LISEL.
        MODIFY CURRENT LINE.
    ENDDO.
TOP-OF-PAGE.
    WRITE: /(70) 'Heading' CENTERED, 70 SY-PAGNO,'of ', '-----'.

Hi Yusuf,
It is really a typical requirement.
There is a solution to that.
In the internal table that you are passing to the function module, append a blank line to that itself.
Like:
LOOP AT itab INTO wa.
APPEND wa TO itab3.
CLEAR wa.
APPEND wa TO itab3.
ENDLOOP.
REFRESH itab.
itab[] = itab3[].
But remember not to do sorting after that or not to pass the sorting table parameters.
If you have an extra line at the bottom you can delete that by reading the number of lines through the describe statement and delete the last row of the table.
Try this hiope this will work.

Not strictly a java question, but does anyone know how you can get the total number of lines of code in a java project in eclipse?

What operating system are you using? Unix has easy ways of counting line numbers in files (and will also give the total). For example, the "wc" command. Of course, that is just physical lines. Often when you count SLOC (source lines of code), you count lines differently from physical lines (e.g., you might ignore blanks or comments [and/or report them separately], or you might split statements up differently from the way they are formatted on physical lines).
