Number of returns

Hello gurus.
I want to calculate the number of returns to vendor. I dont have much knowledge about functional side..our client asked to give me a report which gives him no of returns to vendor from particular plant..how can i achieve this..this is a purchasing requirement

Hello Rakesh,
just create a new measure "no of returns" during loading value it with "1" for every return you load into the cube.
Now you can analyse it against every dimension in your cube.

Populate partner number from return IDOC.

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to populate partner number from return IDOC to the delivery document. The partner number will not be necessarily have a master data in SAP.Example: I will get a forwarding agent number which will not have a master data created in R/3, but still SAP should allow me to save the delivery with the number that I put in the delivery header-partners with appropriate partner funtion defined by us. Ideally my IDOC will carry any number which I need to populate under header partners in the delivery with out getting any error message saying "No master record exists for XXXXXX". Please provide your expert opinion.

You cannot save a Partner Function with a Partner Number that doesn't already exist in SAP. Therefore you either need to have the partner(s) created in SAP, or find somewhere else to store the data. There are a few free-format fields in LIKP that may suit your purpose, alternatively you could extend the iDoc & table LIKP to incorporate a new field.LIKP-LIFEX is a good candidate if you're not using it already, or of course there's always a text field.

Automatic Batch number for rETURN Delivery

When creating a return delivery, without reference, we need to manually input the batch number (assign dummy?).
Is it possible to have the system automatically generate the batch number for returns? If yes, how?

No you can' not
even if you try to create Return delivery without refrance to any order then it will determine item category,but gives error that,
YOU CAN NOT ADD THIS ITEM IN DELIVERY
because it is controlled by delivery document category
the delivery document category is - T (Returns delivery for order)

Bapi for association with Equipment serial number and return order

Hi,
I wanted to know if there was a BAPI which has an association between
Equipment serial number and return order .As I want the association between Euipment serial number and return order to show in the Equipment Serial history.
Could you please help with this.

I want create a return delivery for the material with the same serial number for which i have created original delivery but the system is not allowing it is giving me error message as return delivery not possible with same serial number.How do i go forward.

Serial number for returns

Hello All,
I have tried searching for answer to this question in forums but could not find a clear answer. Can you all please help me in this scenario -
1. I created a return order and delivery and in the delivery i input the serial numbers which were sent out originally to the customer. At this point when i do a PGR and save the delivery the status of the serial number changes from ECUS to EDEL ELOK ESTO. Now i want to create another order and re-use the same serial number. But the system gives me an error message -
System status EDEL is active (EQU 10008457)
Message no. BS013
Diagnosis
Object EQU 10008457 has system status EDEL (Assigned in delivery note). According to this status, transaction 'Delivery note assignment' is not allowed.
Can you please tell me if i manually need to change the system status every-time for these returned serial numbers or is there a way of doing it in the system.
2. In an outbound delivery system allows me to input a serial number which is already in ECUS status. How to prevent this usage of serial number which is already issued out?

I am not sure in regards to your first question. I ran through the scenario on my system, returned a material on a previous order, completed Post Goods Receipt, and created the billing document. I checked MMBE and the material was in Returns stock. I performed the 453 goods movement via MB1B. Serial Number is not an option upon first pressing enter after typing in 453 for goods movement. However, when inserting the material, followed by quantity and unit of measure, the system asks for a serial number. Therefore, even though SAP is not asking for a serial number at first, it does ask once the material is entered. If it does not, I'm not sure how to address this for you.
For question #2, you are looking to prevent a material with a serial number of ECUS status from having a delivery created against it (i.e. one serial number issued out on two separate deliveries). If you are looking to prevent this, you would have to make sure it could only be prevented for the Goods Issue delivery type...otherwise if you prevented for all delivery types you wouldn't be able to create a return to Goods Receipt the serial number. I am not sure how to do this, but I am also not sure if this is standard SAP behavior.

WM-PP losing storage unit number on return

Hello again,
This is not an uncommon problem I am sure! My client has the SU number on the label. We are using WM material staging to pull full SUs into the non SU managed production supply area (stype 100). The required amount of product is consumed. All this is okay. The next step is the problem.
When the material is returned to the SU-managed storage type, the system gives it a new SU number so the label is wrong. Is there any way to keep the old the SU number? Is ABAP my only solution?

Define storage unit management for physical storage types only. Interim storage areas cannot be SU-managed.
What is your process exactly?
1) Is the SU moved to production (interim storage type 100) and they pick up the necessary quantity and SU goes back immedietly (very shrt time).
2) SU is moved to production (interim storage type 100) and it will be there till the parts are consumed for production (long time).
In case of 1) you can consider the use of picking with pick point:

In case of 2) I think it's reasonable to reprint the lbels as it was suggested by Hein since who knows what's happned with the SU during that time it was in production area...

is there a way to do this like

How do store a frame number and return to it?

I wish to include a rollover icon which is available at all
times during the movie that displays a map.
When users place the mouse within the icon, the movie
switches to a frame where the map is located.
What I can’t seem to do is write the code to cause the
movie to return to the frame it was on when the icon was selected.
Are there any suggestions???

I need to compare the output number with another hardcoded number (threshold) and print an appropriate message e.g.
if the output of the above query is 18000 and the threshold number is set to 20000, then output a meesage:

What is error number -4470 returned by Flexmotion command mean

It is really odd since that error code is not specified in the error database, however I can suggest to you to try out the following:
1. Use the resources when calling a function, for example instead of PCI7344 send 0x01 (if board ID is 1), or instead of Step Output 1 send 0x41, makes sense?
2. Make sure FlexStatus is declared as i32.
3. Axes should be disable when configuring them.
4. Check the Software Reference Manual since I don't believe 0 is valid for Axis.

I have a data set that is displayed and sorted by a hidden 'hits' field that is updated based on popularity. My table has about 40 entries, but I want only the first 10 results to show.

Ansered my own question. Simply adding
spry:test="{ds_RowNumber} < 10"
to the MasterColumn div did the trick!

Financial Reporting Studio: Query returns number instead of text !?

Hi All,
I have built a CAPEX report for a client querying new asset requests. Report is completed with no errors, however the problem is that the values returned for members of type text such as 'Asset Description', 'Justification'...etc are numbers (ex: 6, 9, 12). On the other hand, values returned for memebrs of type number are returned correctly such as 'Basic Cost' and 'Salvage value'. Even the value returned for 'CAR #' which stored as a text is a 1 digit number.
I have checked the data in the front end/application and it is there and represented correctly. I have also checked the type of the dimension members themself and it is set as text.
Has anyone come accross this problem? Can anyone please provide a solution for this?

Is it a big report as that seems a long time?
In my experience the things that have made the most difference to report performance are:
1. Don't have a lot of members in the Page, in order to be able to switch pages quickly all of the data is retrieved at run time so it can take a long time to open the report. I prefer to use the report POV to switch the view
2. Try not to stack dynamic calcs, e.g. be careful if you are using attribute dimensions in reports as these are dynamic and if used along with dynamic accounts, and dynamic time periods can slow retrieval

I have a macbook pro, it's a gift, and I want to return it. But at first time, I forgot to print the return label, now I know the order number and return number, when I click "Print return label", it appeared I need to sign in, but I don't have a apple ID

Call Apple sales and ask them. The number should be on your order receipt or look at the Contact Us link at the bottom right hand corner of this page.
