Number range elements

Hello,
I've tried to maintain number ranges for controlling documents. Transaction KANK.
The system displays a message: No elements exists for the object/sub-object ESCO (which is my controlling area)
The problem are missing number range elements (bus.transactions) to which I want to assign number ranges.
Does anybody know how to fill these missing elemnts, so that I could assign number ranges?
Thanks in advance,
Marija

Hello
There is a related SAP note available on this.
Just go to SAP Note search, give the error message number, you would get the note.
Its a correction program that has to be run.
Try this program RKCORR01., if it doesnt work then go ahead and go by the above process.

  • WBS element number ranges

    Hi,
I want to know how to maintain number ranges for WBS elements.
Tcode:SNUM and the object is PRPS.
    we have 2 ranges  01----
      001-099
                               02----
    100-199
At present 01 is being used but want to change it to 02.How to do it.
    Thanks

If you are taking abt the no. range which SAP gives to the PS object - WBS when we create the same for ex. in PRPS table  WBS is ABC 10000  and the OBJNR for the same  given by system is PR00000001.
Please don't change it. This no range is having integration with so many SAP std. tables like as CATSDB , CATSCO etc. etc.... If by mistake also is changed than it will put  you in big trouble. I have worked on one SYS copy  migration Project ans faced this issue.

  • Copy CO Number Ranges : "CO area 2833 and 1753 have different elements

    Hi
    Need help
I am trying to copy CO number ranges (t.code KANK)
When I click on the copy icon and enter the source and target co area, I get this messgae "CO area 2833 and 1753 have different elements"
    regards
    Kiat

    Hi ; will do that;
    1. Run Transaction OKC1 to check which business transactions must
exist. OKC1 shows these in a list.
    2. Check Table TKA04 using Transaction SE16 (general table display).
Specify the controlling area. Compare the result here with the
result from step 1. If not all business transactions from step 1
exist for the controlling area, you must generate the missing
    entries.
    3. Call up Report RKTKA04C using Transaction SE38. Read the
documentation. The report creates the entries that are misiing.
    Nice.

  • Number Range (series) for Billing Document (F2) and Excise Invoice

    Hi All,
I want to know how the number ranges / number series is defined for billing documents (F2) and excise invoice, for India business scenario.
In India, the excise invoice is given to the customer so that he can the excise duty/ cenvat. This invoice acts as the Tax invoice (having all pricing elements apart from excise duty) against which customer outstanding is considered. That is, the payment due will be tracked against this Tax (excise) invoice.
But in SAP, the accounts posting is done (customer a/c debited) when we creaate and post the billing document (type F2). Hence, the outstanding amount is tracked against the billing document created. This billing doc/invoice will have all the pricing components like price, discount, freight, etc apart from excise duty.
The excise invoice is created separately....with ref to the above billing doc....for posting the excise duty.
If the number ranges for billing document and excise invoice are different then it is difficult to trace the outstanding amount from a particular customer on the basis of excise invoice created in the system.
Can somebody provide inputs/solution on this?
    Thanks indvance.
    Rgds,
    Amit

    Hi Saurabh,
My question is not how to define number range for billing doc and excise invoice? i mean what procedure / tcode to be used for the same?
My question is whether we need to define same number range for Billing doc (F2) as well as Excise Invoice.
For example: number range 1000 to 1999  --- same for F2 and excise invoice....
Lets say billing doc 1000 is created. Further, when we create excise invoice w.r.t. this billing doc....the excise invoice created will also need to be 1000. ....so that we can identify that against this excise invoice, we need to collect the payment from customer.
If the number ranges for billing doc and excise invoice are different, then it is difficult for the user to trace the outstanding payment .....because genarally the excise is treated as Tax invoice by companies in India ...(so that the customer can claim the excise duty....when he purchases the goods from the company).
Whereas the customer account is hit when the billing doc is posted .....hence i feel, we need to keep the same number range for billing doc and exice invoice.
Hope the question/scenario is clear now.
I would appreciate the inputs on the above, from the consultants/experts who have worked on SAP implementation projects in India.
    Rgds,
    Amit

  • SAP HR - RP_PLAN alphanumeriacal number range in SNRO

    Hi guys!!
I have an issue regarding number range in Organizational Management for SAP HR.
We have internal and external intervals and that's ok however, it's required to maintain external alphanumerical number range for positions, jobs and organizational unit.
I saw in the RP_PLAN details that element is SUBGR - NUM8.
Could I change this one to something like CHAR10?
Let me know about solutions and risks assigned to this issue, please,
    best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,
No you cannot change the domain to CHAR10 for technical reasons. So you will have to use 8 digit number for PD objects.
    Kind Regards

  • Controlling Document Number Ranges

    Hi Gurus,
I am pretty new to the Controlling world, i am trying to copy document number ranges from one controlling group to another, but i am getting an error like elements dont match. If you can explain me exactly what is causing this error, that will be a great help.
    Regards,
    Mihir

There are various Controlling related business transaction like
    RKP1 Planning primary costs
    RKP2 Planning activities
    These are the 'elements'
These elements are all grouped under groups called 'Planning' or 'Actual'.
Compare the groups in a controlling area via t-code KANK for both CO areas. Match them first and then do the copy of number ranges.

Also to activate the check box for external number range i am not able to activate or deactivate the check box. Please suggest for this problem also.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Dear,
For deassigning to it's orignal place
    Select the category
Press the select element or F2
Select the Not Assignt (at bottom of the screen)
    Press the Element/Group or F5
For creating a new no. range
    Select Group at Menu Bar
    Select Insert
Now give he Text and give the no. range
u can not activate or deactivate External check box. See there are two lines if u want to give external no. range then assign the no. range at second line where external no. range check box is already activated.
