    Our client has got 130 plants (105 are depots and 25 manufacturing plants) ) from which sales transactions are handled.
    There is a legal requirement that billing documents should have separate number ranges for a particular depot / plant. We have adopted the following method: -
    -  SAP standard number range object (transaction VN01),
    -  Customized table wherein we mapped billing document types, plant and number range object,
    -  User exit RV60AFZZ (Form Userexit_Number_range) to determine the number range during invoicing.
    We have consumed almost all of the possible number range object combinations (starting from AA to ZZ and 01 to 99) due to the huge number of plants.
    For the new depots, how to set up the number range objects for billing documents (example: is there any way by which this object can be made as three digits)?

    We have not done such thing.
    But you can change it from 2 digit to 3 digit using access key. Which should be the last option.
    Look for option like creating customized number range object (instaed of using RV_BELEG which you are currently using). RV_BELEG is used for number ranges for Order, delivery in addition to billing. So the new number range object should also be able to provide number range for that.
    Also try make the current number = 0 of "consumed" no range and then delete the number range and recreate it (using VN01 or SNRO object RV_BELEG)

  • Same Number Range for OTHR and DLFC

    I want to know whether we can mantain different number range for OTHR and DLFC transaction Type for same Series Group.
    i.e for Returns Vendor Delivery Excise Invoice(MM side-OTHR) and Outgoing Excise Invoice(Sales Side-DLFC).

    even when you sell SFG / Trading goods -( HAWA / HALB) , then also you have to update RG1, though they are not FG materials.
    Material type in terms of excise, but not in terms of SAP.
    eg:
    When customer returns the goods, you can process it in 2 ways-
    either by creatign Excise JV - J1IH
    or by following MM route, nothing but by creating Incoming excise Invoice wrt:inbound delivery-LR in Tcode:J1IEX-
    where in excise tab, material type will be defaulted as "F-RG1", but it has to be changed to "Raw Material".
    similarly, Vendor returns also treat as the same,
    for your info, adjustment of excise duty for vendor returns will be routed through excise JV in J1IS & mov type:122 -ret to vendor is activated for RG1.

    Is it possible to have Separate number ranges (for Material Documents as well as for FI Documents) for GR against PO and for GR against Production Order?

    Hello Anusha,
    Basically you need to maintain the confirmation control key in the Info record or the vendor master in order get the option of doing an inbound delivery and not a rough GR. in info record in purchasing screen and also the same screen in vendor master.
    The above is a permanent setting for a vendor, if you want to do it temporarily, you need to go to the confirmations tab in PO item details and change the control key in there.

  • Sales /Outgoing Excise Invoice number Range for J1IIN

    Dear Gurus,
    We are doing STO from excisable plant 1000 to plant 1100. We created a PO with document type UB ( STO) and created delivery with reference to PO and created billing document ( delivery challan). Against billing document number we created sales excise invoice in J1IIN for financial year starting from  1st April 2010. In J1I9 we have maintained number range for 2010 financial year in object J_1IEXCLOC for respective series group s1.Still when the outgoing excise created, the system continued last financial years number range. In entire flow from PO till MIGO and billing document and creation of excise invoice the input date is 6th of April i.e. current financial year. This is our first sales outgoing excise invoice creation in new financial year for which number range is maintained properly.
    My question is why system took last financial years number range even though the date in all the documents is falling in new financial year.
    Will appreciate the answer.

    I am facing one issue at the time of creation of transfer order for inbound delivery.
    If I create inbound delivery for purchase order with account assignment as 'M' (Ind. cust. w/o KD-CO), inbound delivery is not updated. Also document flow for inbounde delivery s not updated. I can create N number of transfer orders for on inbound delivery. Need help to resolve issue.
    If I create inbound delivery for purchase order with account assignment other than 'M' (Ind. cust. w/o KD-CO), inbound delivery and document flow is updated.

  • Creation of Transfer Order for Inbound Delivery

    Hi,
    I am using L_TO_CREATE_DN for creation of a TO for Inbound Delivery.
    I am getting this message."""Item 180000166 000010 does not exist or is not relevant for picking"""
    The delivery is having Ware House number so i think it is relevent for picking... It is having an item 10 also. I dont know why this message is coming.
    Can anyone please let me know how to get rid of this error and create a TO for the inbound delivery.

    like, instead of 180000166, pass 0180000166.

  • Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery through MIGO

    Hi All,
    Can anyone pl. explain me in steps the process of GR for Inbound Delivery from MIGO transaction.
    Also I need the process of reversing this goods receipt done.
    For certain inbound deliveries a dump occurs in the program SAPLIE01 in 'EQUIPMENT_ADAPT_BUSVIEWS' fn module.
    I need to analyse the reason for the dump. Here is the extract from the dump

    Thank you for the correction. I was just wondering over this number.
    Sanjay, regd the release level, it is 0017 for SAP_APPL.
    In brief, when GR is done for an inbound delivery, a fn moudle equipment_adapt_busviews is called, in which if the equipment data of the material (wa_equi) is initial, it gives dump.
    1. This fn module is called 3 or 4 times while the posting is done through MIGO
    2. In the 4th call, the parameter wa_equi is initial - which gives the dump.
    3. While debugging, when I reach this point,if I restart the debugging, I find that the posting is completed !!!! (so something happening after posting of GR gives the dump)
    4. I have to reverse this GR for replicating the same again.
    Any further clues !!

    I'm sorry, but it does not seem that there is a BAPI for this (looking at transaction BAPI and business object BUS2015).
    Have you perhaps looked at the new transaction VL31N? Are there any differences that may improve the input (limit the number of BDC steps)?
    Otherwise, take a look at the way you are entering data now. Make sure there are not too many dialog steps. i.e. Make sure you enter all the data you can on a single screen, only then process the next OKCODE. Also, look at the transaction again: Perhaps you can enter items in an overview screen instead of individual items. (I have no knowledge of your situation of course; these are just some general guidelines).

    We wanted to trace the Goods movement based on the serial numbers. we could make this possible by attaching the serial number profile with relevant procedure (Stock Chk) to the Material.
    Now the issue left out is of Number range and the pop-up for the existing serial numbers for the material. Is it possible to define Number Ranges (Ext. / Int) to the Serial Number profile ? Also, to get a pop-up for the serail numbers of material currently in Stock, which can be issued. Currently, I have to get the detail of sr. No. thru' IQ09 / IQ03.

    Yes. In IMG under Plant maintenance -- > Technical objects -->Serial No profile.
    Here you can create diff profile with difff procedures.
    And mention the properties of each.
    There is a material master record for each type in the system. For control purposes, the company wants to know which customer received which collector type, and which serial number(s) of the collector type were supplied to the customer, when the individual solar collectors were delivered.
    It is therefore necessary to assign a serial number to the customer delivery in addition to the material number.
    A serial number master record is created with the assignment of the serial number. You can maintain data fields specific to the serial number in the master record.
    At a later date, it may be necessary to enter equipment master records for materials that have already been serialized and delivered to customers, for example, if the producer of the solar collectors also has to perform maintenance activities for the customers and therefore wants to use all the functions available in the equipment master record for a serialized material.
    In order to keep this option open at any time, you must define a number range for serial numbers. The numbers assigned from this number range are not the serial numbers but reserved keys that stand for the combination of material number and serial number and the equipment number that may possibly be assigned.
    You can also define one or more serial number profiles.
    The serial number profile defines how and under which conditions a serial number is assigned for a material.
    Note
    A material can only be assigned serial numbers after the required serial number profile has been entered in the material master for a specific plant.

    I am having 1 client under that 5 company codes, ade according to that 5 plants & 5 sales organization.
    so for one comapany code including all there are 15 sales document types same for other also
    my question is
    How can I assign number range for all that?
    If i am going to maintain seperate document type it goes to 75
    which userexit will help me out for this?

    Not only at order level, you will have to use exits at delivery and billing document level also.
    For sales documents:
    Exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in MV45AFZZ
    For delivery documents:
    Exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in MV50AFZ1
    For billing documents:
    Exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in RV60AFZZ
    You need to give tables for maintaining numbers for sales, delivery and billing documents. In the exit a select query can be written to fetch the data based on the parameters like sale orgainzation, company code etc.

    You question is not very clear. You can have multiple products also in one sales invoice, so how would you distinguish at the product level. Also, what would be the distinction for determining the region. You may bill to a customer centrally, but delivery can be across to various regions in a country or to a seperate country. You have to first determine these combinations.
    That said, if you are clear that sales invoice no has to be different based on for eg, region of  the delivering address, you have to do an small enhancement, calling up the user exit in VF01.

    So pl. check the SAP Note 849438 . As per the note :-
    The solution is delivered in the indicated support packages. In case you can not implement the correspondin support package for your release immediately, please follow the procedure described below:
    1. In the Data Dictionary Editor (transaction SE11) please open the definition of domain J_1AOFFNREL, go to the fixed values and add value 'P' with description 'Number Assingment using Prenumbered Forms' in a position so that the possible values remain sorted alphabetically.
    2. In the Message Editor (transaction SE91) please go to message class ICC_CN and add the new message 837 with text '&1: Official doc. numbering is not available for delivery documents!'.
    3. If you are implementing the note in release 4.6C, please create the following function modules:
    o     OFF_NUMBER_LOCAL_ASSIGN_VE in function group FIN2, and then copy the interface (all parameters and exceptions) of the function module OFF_NUMBER_LOCAL_ASSIGN_TW

    3. Define the necessary number ranges and intervals and assign them to the combination of company code, business place, document class and validity period. If you use the customizing activity for Taiwan, then please leave the prefix field empty.
