  • Number range generation failure

    Dear Team,
While creating 57F4 challan in J1IF01, we are getting followng error "number range generation failure". Kindly suggest why we are getting this error & also the solution.
    Regards,
    Sathya.

I dont remember correctly but we have to assign a number range to the excise group which we use while creating 57F4 challan.
check what exsice group / series group you are usiung ang check in customization whether numbner range has been assigneg to it.
I remember that number range should be for particular excise group and fiscal year.
check and confirm if your problem is solved.

  • Number range generation

    Hi All,
I want to use number range generation (tcode: SNRO) for generating numbers for my custom database primary key purpose.
Can anybody give me clear idea about number generation.
    Please help its urgent. .........
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
by using SNRO you will have 3 options coming to u.
By the 1st option, u can create the new interval range from sya 0... 99999 etc..
Using second option, u can change the existing number range, incase the existing one gets exhausted by usage.
By the trhird option, you can delete the existing number range..
It's upto u you can decicde any number range.. One more point to notice is that you can have External & Internal number rnage assignment.. E.g., in case of MM Module, generally, the PO, RFQS, etc.. are generated by it own (i.e., the no is assigned to it once you save the new PO, RFQ etc...) Or otherwise, incase u assign external number range, the new avaialable number will be taken from the interval and will be provided to the newly created document (E.g., MAterial, PO, RFQ , etc..)
    I hope i am clear.
    Please provide atmost points.
    thanks

  • Wrong number range in ECC Message creation in "Create Support message " tab

    Dear All,
While creating the support message in any R3 server (ECC,BW etc.) system by clicking
help->create support message option in main menu tab.
The message number sequence changes from existing to new saequence.
The initial sequence is 9999011940 but the current sequence generated
by system is 1549. We had updated our R3 system with SAP_APPL component
stack to 17. This changed sequence is happening after patch upgrade.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ravi,
Did you also patch your SOLMAN system ?
I believe this is controlled by number range object CRM_SERVIC  in your solution manager. Check OSS note 903528 (particularily the section around the resetting of the number range object)

  • Number Range in Satellite

    Dear All,
I have a problem when creating message from satellite system. I have set:
    1.  number ranges for ABA Message and service desk message and match internal ABA message with external number Support Message in Solman.
    2. Table BCOS_CUST in Satellite system.
    3. RFC Generation in Solman and satellite, both RFC works.
I got this error message when create message from Help->Create Support Message: "Error in Local Message System: Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible. Message was Not Created"
Do i have to maintain number ranges for Basic Notification (DNO_NOTIF) in satellite system. If yes, how to maintain it?Because when I want to maintain it from tx: SNUM and DNO_NOTIF, it says Number Range is locked for maintenance. FYI, im using sap_all in satellite, so i don't think its because authorization.
Is there any solution for this?
Any Helpful answer will be rewared
    Rgds,
    Aleluya.

    Dear Ragu and Prakhar,
I already implement note 1137739 - SOLMAN_ISSUE_MGMT. Then im trying to create support message from Help->Create Support Message in Soution Manager and Satellite system. But still appear the previous error message in both system. I execute tx: SLG1, there is no red code, only green code with message 'Execution date reset according to priority'. Then I check in service desk, there is no message from satellite system.
FYI,  im using SAP Solution Manager 4.0 SP14 for service desk and SAP NetWeaver 2004 SP11 for satellite.
    Rgds,

  • Error when creating a Number Range

When I use transaction ZNRO to create a number range, I get an error message:
"Invalid call sequence for interfaces when recording changes".
All I did was enter the text and a domain for the numbers.   There was an earlier error regarding buffering.  It said that I should not use buffering for accounting documents.   I am not using this for accounting documents and do not care if numbers get skipped.  So I continue through that error.
But after that, the "Invalid call sequence . . ." error pops up.
I searched this forum generally, and with portions of the error text, and do not find any discussion of problems creating number ranges.
The number range I'm created is very simple.  I just need "one up" numbers for a custom database used to store custom schedule information.
    I'm at release 4.6c.

Here is the error message and text.
I have no idea what it means by "interfaces".
When at release 3.1i, I had no trouble creating number ranges.
    <b>Message no. TK 425
    Diagnosis
The function you selected uses interfaces to record changes made to your objects in requests and tasks.
Before you save the changes, a check needs to be carried out to establish whether the objects may be changed. This check must be performed before you begin to make changes.
    System Response
    The function terminates.
    Procedure
The function you have used must correct the two Transport Organizer interfaces required. Contact your system administrator.</b>

  • Release rejected - Number Range not found.

    Hi,
Iam creating a Rework Order RW01 order type.settings are almost same as PP01.
When I try to release the order it shows Release rejected and check log .
In the log I find below message thrown.
" You must enter the batch for material XYZ
    *Message no. CO691"
However when I the enter the batch manually add try to release it again it shows Release rejected and check log .
In the log I find below message thrown.
    " Number range  not defined
    Message no. 26023
    Diagnosis
You have enter number range  for the document type, but this number range is not defined for the number range object "document".
    Procedure
Check in Customizing (Document management -> Control data -> Number ranges) which number ranges are defined.
If you want to enter a number range that has not been defined for the document type, contact your system manager. It may be necessary to create a new number range."
I have done the number range for order type RW01 in CO82 as well .
Is there anything I miss in Order Type configuration or Batch Management.
In PP01 order type my Batch updates when I release my order , Same setting is for RW01 as well.
Production Scheduling profile is also same for both.
    Regards
    Bhgl

    Dear,
Please check the number range in CO82 or OPJH for your order type RW01.
Also check the component has determine the batch.
In the release control is set to user to decide (TCO11-FRBATCH = '1') or release despite of missing parts (TCO11-FRBATCH = '2') in Transaction OPJK
For all these components it is stored in the material master that a batch determination should be executed before or during the release (KZECH = '1' manually, KZECH = '3' automatically) and no batches have yet been assigned to these components before the order is saved.

  • ARE 1 Number Range

    Dear Experts,
Am having a problem in generation of are1 number range.
Am having 3 series groups for exports, for a one plant. Where as we will maintain number range for are1 wrt Series group.
but here the client requirement is they want only one continuation number range for a plant. they dont want wrt series group.
For creation of excise invoice they want 3 series group but for creation of ARE1 they want only one series group. Pls let me know how to habdle this or is there any user exit is there for are1 number range generation.
And one more problem am facing is i have to attach 2 excise invoice to one are1 form in that system is not allowing me to attach because two excise invoice are belongs to different series group. Pls let me know how to handle this series group issue in ARE1 Generation.
    Regards
    Nagesh

    Hi,
You can make use of the user exit J_1I7_USEREXIT_EXCISE_BEF_SAVE..
You need to maintain a custom number range with single series group through SNRO T.code .
Call function Number_get_next Fm to get the new number from the defined number range object.
overwrite the excise invoice number with new excise number in the above mentioned user exit.

  • Defining Internal Number Ranges

    Hi,
I am looking for a good solution for <u><b>internal number ranges generation</b></u> in MDM, I haven't find any solution for this number ranges in any of SAP MDM ref. guides and any other SAP standard documentation.
    Business requirement:
1)Based on Account Group we have different internal number ranges for Business Partner.
2)Once the user select a Acct. Grp for Business Partner  in MDM corresponding <u>sequential number range</u> should generate and assign to that BP.
    3) the solution should work in both Data manager and in Portal.
Appreciate all valid suggestions and helpful answers.
    Thanks,
    Pooja Varma

    Hi Anita,
I am not looking for Remote System key generation.
I need a solution for the internal number range generation for any new BP or Material creation within MDM and there is no data model provided by standard SAP MDM on this.
    - I am wondering how all other clients are implementing this kind of requirement?
    - this is very crucial and important for any client in the BP.
    Hi All,
Kindly share some of your experiences and provide solution in this regard.
Highly appreciated all helpful answers and suggestions.

  • External number range for storage units

I have been trying to set this up without success.
    1. If I set up an external number range and assign it, then the system tells me to set up an internal number range.
    2. If I set up an internal number range the system does not allow manual input (external assignment from internal number range not allowed).
I have allowed internal and external assignment for the warehouse.
This is the error that I get when trying scenario 2.
"External assignment of numbers from an internal number range not allowed
    Message no. L3212
    Diagnosis
The external storage unit number to be issued is in an internal number range.
    Procedure
Unlike other applications, external number ranges in the WM system are not explicitly defined.  Instead, they are taken from the unused numbers in the internal number ranges when the "Issue type" switch in the Customizing application allows external numbers to be issued for the warehouse number."
So does this saying that external number assignment is not possible? Or is it saying that I have to use internal range even for external numbering? What is the solution?

Please have a look at OSS note no. 14881.

    Christiane Schnellenbach
