NumberFormatException on getEJBObject

          Hi,
          I got NumberFormatException when getEJBObject() is called in WL6.1 clustering.
          I suspect if the format of example for "Cluster Address list" at page 6-5 in
          "Using Weblogic Server Clusters" document is correct. According to the document,
          the field should accept the following format;
          192.168.0.50,192.168.0.51,192.168.0.52:7001
          I confirmed first operator of NumberFormatException is taken from the field by
          changing the port number.
          So, what is the correct syntax for "Cluster Address List" field?
          Here is the stacktrace;

    Now, this isn't programme specific as it's affecting all our BI Publisher reports. Also the specific report I am working on has the option to email. I'm finding that the emails still work and when I open the attachment, they are displaying in PDF format correctly - even though the concurrent manager completes with the above warning. The above warning doesn't let me view the output in PDF from Oracle Financials.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Maybe check if Metalink note 764180.1 applies? This appears to be a bug fixed with patch 7669965.

    1. Use code tags, there's button that says 'Code'. Select your text and use that. I'm not going to read your code while it's unformatted like this and especially because you seem to have posted your whole darn project here; and I suspect few others will bother either.
    2. Don't paraphrase the exception; post the exact stack trace.
    3. There's usually a line number given with the exception; which line does your stack trace point to? Try to figure out what you're doing wrong there.
    4. NumberFormatException means that you're trying to parse a string that's not in the correct format. Make sure the data you're getting from the DB is correct.

    System.out.println("Input your data:");
    String st = getString();
    return Integer.parseInt(st);//this is 208 row

    It may be that the code in getString() returns a
    String that ends with a newline. If that is the
    problem, you can use
    return (Integer.parseInt(st)).trim();1. getString will never return a String ending in newline. BufferedReader.readLine strips off the newline.
    2. Even if you had a newline, String.trim doesn't trim newlines.
    3. You would need to trim the String, not the int:
    return (Integer.parseInt(st.trim()));As JimDinosaur said, you are passing bad data (the value of "st").
    In getInt, add this before trying to parse "st":
    System.out.println("###"+st+"###");What does it print?

    If you use parameters you can try playing with them to narrow down the values on which the error occurs. Anyway, need to get the output in XML (without template) and review it. If it's not too huge, post the XML here.

  • NumberFormatException in dbassis Oracle 8.1.7 on RedHat 8.0

    I have installed Oracle 8.1.7 and patched glibc library successfully.
    When i run dbassist to create a db i get always a NumberFormatException. I have tryed with a symbolic link to free but doesn't work. Anyone can help me? (i have installed j2se 1.4.1)
    thanks
    Marco

    Agi,
    I need to do the same thing as you, and have the same question as you. What is your current situation? What you got from Oracle support?
    I have experienced installing Oracle 8.1.7 on SuSE 7.3 and 8.0 with quite a few patches. Among others, one ought to install orarun.rpm by SuSE and Oracle patch for glibc as seen elsewhere on Web. I wonder if I have to do the same for RH AS 2.1, because it's released after 8.1.7.
    Here is my e-mail addr.

    let me know your luck.

  • SAP_XI_IDOC/IDOCFlatToXmlConvert, java.lang.NumberFormatException

    Hi,
    I am getting the below exception when I tried to convert IDoc Flat File to IDoc XML using the module "SAP_XI_IDOC/IDOCFlatToXmlConvert" in sender File adapter.
    Exception:
    Module Exception 'com.sap.aii.af.idoc.exception.IDOCModuleException' found, cause: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""
    I have successfully uploaded and created the IDoc with the same file from WE19 transaction.
    Any idea about this Exception.
    Thanks,
    Krishnaraju.

    Adarsh,
    Is the source system is an SAP system? Could you post the file to check the format of the file. As said in the blog we need to have the format maintained to transform IDoc flat files into XML files.
    Hi Li,
    We have over come the number format exception by placing unique identifier in place of Idoc number and segment relations ships.
    Module is successfully converting the IDoc Flat file with multiple Idocs, we dont have this limitation in this module.
    The limitation is in the format of the source file. The flat file should contain unique identifier in place of IDoc and Parent and child node relation ship should explicitly mentioned in the IDoc flat file. Without these explicit parameters Module is not converting IDoc flat file into IDoc XML.
    Without mentioning these explicit parameters, WE19 trasaction is successfully uploading the Idocs.
    I think Java module is considering the unique relation ship by taking these parameters and ABAP program is reading the file in sequential way and creating the IDocs by breaking the file whenever it encounters EDIDC segment.
    If the source system is not a SAP system, then it would be a problem using this module to convert Falt file into IDoc XML.
    Thanks,
    Krishna.

    I was about to post a question in the forums for this same issue, but I thought I'd reply to this thread instead. I am actually getting a fairly consistent error with this code. Here's my scenario:
    I'm running an OSD TS which performs a "Format and Partition Disk" task immediately before an "Apply Operating System" task (well, almost immediately... there are a few tasks for setting custom variables and whatnot in between). The Format
    and Partition Disk task returns a success code. The Apply Operating System task returns these lines (edited for relevance) with the command line "OSDApplyOS.exe /image:PRI00011,1 /target:C: /runfromnet:False":
    'C:\' not a removable drive
    The volume C:\ exists and is a local hard drive.
    The volume C:\ is using a valid file system.
    Windows target partition is 0-1, drive letter is C:\
    Verifying boot volume is NTFS.
    * Boot volume D:\ is not valid: unsupported file system. Please ensure the boot volume file system on the system you are applying the image to is NTFS. The request is not supported. (Error: 80070032; Source: Windows) *
    I am specifying in the Apply Operating System task to apply the OS to a specific logical drive letter (C:). The odd part is that if I reboot the computer and run the task sequence again, it goes through just fine... every time. Thanks for your help.
    * EDIT: I'm running SCCM 2012 R2.

  • Integer.parseInt, NumberFormatException

    Hi,
    I'm trying to convert numbers back and forth with parseInt and toHexString.
    The number that I want to manipulate is 56789abc.
    String str = Integer.toHexString(1450744508);
    int i = 0;
    try
    i = Integer.parseInt(str, 16);
    catch(NumberFormatException e)
    e.printStackInfo();
    I'm not sure why I'm getting NumberFormatException, since I think
    56789ABC doesn't cross the line. It's not out of boundary.
    Any suggestion or help really be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,

    I don't know what you're talking about.
    Integer.parseInt("56789ABC", 16);gives 1450744508
    Works fine.

    Hi PBS,
    It seems bigint datatype is not there in Oracle. Can you please check that. I have seen the data types in oracle and I didn't find it.

    If you can convert that into number or long that would be good. It can handle your requirement.

  • NumberFormatException: Infinite or NaN

    I do some heavy calculations with lots of variables and formulars. Depending on the values, some other values (results) can get the value "NaN" or Infinite. At the end, I want to store the results in database and convert my doubles to BigDecimal objects. At this point I get such exceptions:
    java.lang.NumberFormatException: Infinite or NaN
         at java.math.BigDecimal.<init>(BigDecimal.java:274)The only workaround i found so far, is to check each value via
                if (value1 == Double.NaN || value1 == Double.POSITIVE_INFINITY || value1 == Double.NEGATIVE_INFINITY) {
                    value1 = 0.0;
                }And i have up to 30 values that can be NaN/Infinity. So, I'm looking for some other solution?

    Well, I got a shorter form, but I hoped to somehow workaround this NaN/Infinity problem different:
            private final double resetNaN(double value) {
                double result = value;
                if (Double.isNaN(value) || Double.isInfinite(value)) {
                    result = 0.0;
                return result;
            }//resetNaN()
