Numberic control clear contents

hi,
sorry but this is a newbie question........
i have a numeric control with a default value (0.0) on my front panel.
i want to clear the contents when i click on the control so that when the user clicks the control to enter a value they dont have to delete the contents.......
any help is appreciated.......

Hi loayn,
Best way is, there is a invoke node called re-initialize all to default. Invoke this node as soon as your program starts. By default in labview all the numeric control will having 0 as default value.

I have too little experience with RAC, so you better wait for some answers from experts on that matter.
Nevertheless, my thoughts are as follows:
* You have enqueue contention, and this should be taken care of by the GES part of your CRS layer: maybe a place to check if you can trace back any problems.
* I thought that the version management should be like : CRS version >= ASM version >= DB version .... and this is no longer your situation since your CRS version seems to be 10g when your database run 11g.
Maybe you could also mention if you use ASM, and where your control files are located.
Again, wait for experienced answers...

Checkpointing - control file contents question

Some clarification is needed if possible...
When you commit a transaction:
- commit scn is recorded in the itl of the data block and undo segment header
- lgwr records the committed scn (for all data blocks involved) to the redo log
Checkpoint Event
- (3 seconds or possibly less passes by) CKPT wakes up and signals DBWn to write dirty (modified and committed)
blocks to disk
- CKPT records the scn of those blocks in the control file (data file and redo thread sections) and the data file
header (task of checkpoint when a log switch occurs)
- Checkpoint position in the Redo Log is forwarded
Control file contents question:
When LGWR writes the commit scn to the redo log, who writes the scn to the control file? LGWR or CKPT?
Also, when is the redo thread scn written?

This is my understanding of the stuff. Feel free to correct me.
Checkpoint SCN , as I mentioned in my last reply is the marker of the point till which the data is "chekpointed" to the datafiles. This marker tells the controlfile that in the case of the crash, where to start recovery of the datafile and have to go which extent in the redo stream? This is only available in the datafile header and in the controlfile. This doesn't get recorded in the redo log file/stream.
I mentioned checkpoint queue in my reply too. Though I couldn't find any reference directly mentioned between this and in the checkpoint SCN but I believe my theory , if not totall, partially is correct. The incremental checkpoint is the stuff which makes the decision that how many redo blocks needs to be applied to the datafile if its closed without a proper checkpoint. So this part is maintained in the Datafile header itself in the form of the checkpoint SCN. When not matched with the conrolfile checkpoint SCN, which is always higher than this, a recovery is reported.
I hope its somewhat correct. Do let me know your views too.

Controlling shockwave content (dcr) from a web page using javascript

Is it possible to control shockwave content (dcr; object="application/x-director") from a web page using javascript?
I believe this is possible using 'FSCommand' in Flash...
I'd like to use HTML to do something like:
- html_object[1].go(10);
to send playback to frame 10.

Thanks - this is exactly what I was looking for.
'Shockingly' difficult ( pun intended :-)
Someone really put in some effort on this.
Very creative solution, putting a flash ( swf ) component in a director project and communicating indirectly through the flash element.
Apparently, Javascript can communicate with the SWF file & the SWF file can communicate with the DCR file, but it is not possible to have Javascript communicate directly with the DCR. Too bad.
After looking over this example I think I'll rethink my project.

I was told by the Apple store to create separate user ids on my windows computer to create a new library to control the content on my iphone. I held down shift and clicked i tunes and created the library. I was told you can switch back and forth. I cannot find the old library and all of my playlists. Apple really needs a better way for families to manage their libraries and devices. This is such a pain in the butt!

No, as I stated in the post this is the first issue we've had with the phone. No, this was not a replacement phone, this is the same phone I bought from the apple store in December and had not been serviced by anyone, it did not have any issues until last week.

Parental controls--turning off safari only way to control explicit content?

The password protected parental controls I think are a great idea especially when it come to viewing the web. However I have a few questions:
1. is turning safari off the only choice for controlling explicit content?
2. I understand turning off safari makes the safari icon disappear but if I turn off safari I would still like to be able to run website specific apps like Ebay--is that still possible?
4. Does anyone know if there are any SDK developers working on more robust internet filtering for the iphone?
5. Alternatively, can iphone's parental controls (or perhaps a SDK app) keep the user from deleting the browser history without the password so it can be monitored?

my kids at age 7 are not allowed on the internet and I have to make a safe website list on my wifi router.
I know if they bring it to a friends house then its will be wide open and they are not allowed to do so yet.
I hope a kids safe app will be made or some parental controls to be made available soon

Tab control and content

on my main page i have a five tab control, and each tab has its own content. below the tab control and external to it is another region containing a dynamic page portlet. this region faithfully shows its contents when 4 of the 5 tabs are displayed. when the 5th tab is displayed, it is empty. i've cleared the cache numerous time with no effect.
if anybody has any ideas please pass them on.

Can you print all the tab control's contents and include the tabs?

We are trying to generate a report that includes the contents of a tab control (graphs, text). Using the Append Control Image to Report.vi, we are only able to print out the active tab and the tab is cut off of the image. How can we generate reports that include all the tab pages and their contents and include the labeling tabs?

I do have a workaround for makinging the prints but it looks like some sort of cropped screensave that cuts off the tabs. In my sample I was printing out 3 of the tab controls and you can see there are three by the cut off tabs. Is there a setting to allow for more of the graph and its surroundings to be "captured"?

Clearing contents of a field when updating using an XML document.

When trying to update a document using XML and the DI API, how can you clear the contents of a field in the document? This in particularly is a nvarchar field.

Cursor positioning in table control: marking content of a field

I use a table-control for data input. For fast data input, my customers need dynamic positioning of the cursor. I'm using the set cursor field ... line ... statement and it works fine, except for one problem with a large text-field:
Is it possible to set the cursor in a field plus mark all the content of the field? The behaviour, i'm looking for is that any input in the field will replace the existing content. Is there any other option?

So you want dynamic cursor positioning within a table control. Take a look at FM SCROLLING_IN_TABLE and demo program DEMO_DYNPRO_TABCONT_LOOP. If this does not address your requirements the you can do it manually as follows:
For example, your internal table has 30 rows, your table control displays 10 rows (value of sy-loopc) at one time. The value of <tabctrl>-top_line contains 11, meaning you are at the second page of table control. Your cursor is at 12th row and now on pressing ENTER, you want the cursor to be positioned at 13th row.
In your PAI, issue the statement GET CURSOR LINE <lineno>. This will give you the current cursor position in the table control with reference to the top row currently displayed. So the value of <linno> will be 2.
In your PBO, calculate the next line no to position your cursor into. This can be done by the formula:
next_line = <tabctrl>-TOP_LINE + <linno> - 1.
Then issue the statement SET CURSOR FIELD <field_name> LINE <next_line>.

Cleared content and settings in iPod touch, now computer says it has malfunctioned

My ipod touch was working perfectly fine, but i was going to give it to a friend and so i decided to go into settings and clear the content and settings, so that it was a fresh ipod. Well now it says connect to iTunes, but when i connect it to the computer it says that "USB device not recognized: the Device has malfunctioned and cannot be recognized" something like that. And then it says it failed to install drivers and disconnects. I do not know what is wrong and why it wont connect to my computer and iTunes.

Time taken to clear content and data

I have just cleared the content and data from my 64G Ipad1, and it has been showing the Apple icon with progress bar (with no progress at all) for the past 3 hours. May I enquire how long does it usually take??
THe ipad does not respond at all now and it worries me. Is it normal??
