Numbering Plan ISDN Luxembourg

Dear,
We have a challenge using a variable length numbering plan in Luxembourg, they use a range of 6 digits +2 digits you choose yourself freely.
So for example if you have a range +35 2 111 111XX, the first digits are fixed and behind those you can freely choose.
The provider cuts the first part (6 digits) and you only get the last 2 on your E1 for incomming calls.
This is ok, we have configured this to work with Translation Patterns, but we have one challenge with outgoing calls
With the outgoing calls we only get the first digits to the receiver, so only +35 2 111 111 but not the last 2 digits, and if the party attempts to do a redial the voicegateway gets an error.
Cause i = 0x809C - Invalid number format (incomplete number)
Does anyone have any experience with these variable number plans, maybe in luxembourg.

If i am guessing this problem correctly then this what happening...
When you receive an inbound call from Telco you only get called number as XX and calling number as +35 2 333 222. Now when you make an outbound call (redial) you only able to dialing +35 2 333 222 without the last two digits and the gateway gives an invalid number format error.
To resolve this first you need to ask Telco to send correct calling number i.e. including last two digits , so that you can redial in correct format.
If my guessing it wrong , can you please explain it with example numbers and call flow.

  • Support for non US numbering plans

    Hi All,
I'm wondering if WebOS 1 or 2.0 supports non US telephone numbering plans.
For example, I'm in a country where we have a different numbering format than the US 7 / 10 digits numbering plan. Our numbers consist of 8 digits and I don't like to see my contact's number in another format.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

  • Multiple ISDN dialer stops routing

    Hi,
I have a 1721 with the BRI WICs.
The router is used for remote control for a series (20 different) sites, which callback for security reason.
It happens that after a while (two hours of operation) when I ping a site, the router starts dialing, but routing never occours and, after another piece of time, if I ping the router does not dial, even if debugging shows interesting traffic.

I'll try to remove the multilink's and I'll tell what will happen. Anyway, shouldn't bandwidth 128 command allow one remote site to connect to main site using max 2 B-channels?
This is the dialer on the remote site that handles the connection with the main site.

    dialer caller YYYYYYYYY callback

    ppp authentication chap
    ppp multilink
The dialer string 0YYYYYYYYY means that the dialer string has a leading zero, as per italian numbering plan, while the called id has not. This is the reason why dialer string has a leading zero and dialer caller doesn't.

  • Luxembourg phone number formatting in iOS = 4.0

    Hello,
Since upgrading to iOS 4, phone numbers here in Luxembourg are no longer displayed in a readable way, the formatting is incorrect.
Example : the correct phone number 26 52 26 52 would be displayed as 2 652 2652. That's bizarre, not logical and not readable. The first digit is not a prefix, it makes no sense at all to group phone numbers as # ### ####. You could show it in blocks of 2 or 4 (3 would be a bad choice because numbers are usually 6 or 8 digits).
Is this a know bug ? In MacOS you can define your own number formats in the address book, but that's obviously not possible in the iPhone.
    Pascal

Yes, Region Format is set to Luxembourg. Language is set to English. I should have mentioned that my wife and my friends have exactly the same issue with their iPhones.

  • Adding a 1 before all numbers

Why does my iPhone add a 1 like it's long distance when all my numbers are local? Anyway to disable this?

Just so. In addition, there is no such thing as a local call from a mobile phone because the mobile networks are separate from the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
HOWEVER, the 1 is unnecessary if you are in the North American Numbering Plan. Go into Settings/Phone and see if International Assist is on. If it is turn it off.

  • Isdn callback not working

    Hi,
I'm trying to configure my router C1841 to allow the callback to isdn remote user.
The callback perfectly work with my analog remote users.
The router did not initiate callback to the remote isdn caller.

Here is the configuration of my ISDN dialer interface :
    interface Dialer10
    ip unnumbered FastEthernet0/0
    ip access-group sdm_dialer10_in in
    no ip redirects
    no ip unreachables
    no ip proxy-arp
    encapsulation ppp
    ip route-cache flow
    dialer pool 1
    dialer remote-name xxxxxx
    dialer idle-timeout 600
    dialer enable-timeout 2
    dialer string 027429815
    dialer caller 027429815 callback
    dialer-group 10
peer default ip address dhcp-pool xxx-Users
    compress stac software
    no cdp enable
    ppp callback accept
    ppp authentication ms-chap ms-chap-v2 callin
    end
Could you please let me know what I'm missing ?

  • TCS Recording playback on EP e.164 numbering

    Hi Experts
Our setup is Cisco TCS,VCSc,VCSe,TMS,32Nos of 5320s MCU's and 310Nos of SX20 EP. Our numbring plan is 5digit numbering Plan.
    EP Numbeing-------- 71XXX to 73XXX
    Meeting ID's ---------801XX to 832XX
    Recording Aliases--74101 to 74108
    TCS Playback E.164------75XXX
We are configured the TCS server on above numbering plan.Whenever we enable play recording on EndPoint feature in TCS the TCS will generate the playback E.164 number automatically. The number is generated by TCS is 6digit number (Ex..75XXXX).
Is there any way to modify / Reduce the TCS playback E.164 number in TCS..Herewith attached the Screenshot of TCS for your referance

There is no way to edit the playback alias, other than the prefix that you specify.  The TCS will auto generate the suffix portion of the alias, and there is no user configuration of how it does this.

  • VoIP--ISDN--VoIP between 2 Cisco VG doesn't work...

    Dear All,
Two Cisco routers are connected as follows:
    VoIP--> R1 -->ISDN--> R2 -->VoIP
Appreciate any ideas or recommendations to get successful calls from R1 to R2?
The Problem: When the call leaves R1 to R2 over the ISDN link in between i see the call coming on R2 and then disconnected with the following disconnect reason:
    Cause i = 0x82E6 - Recovery on timer expiry
    R1 config:

    Thanks in advance.

Also, i do not know why:
    Calling Party Number i = 0x2181, '4364574474'
    Plan:ISDN, Type:National
    Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '89222'

and the 2 interface on R1 and R2 are using isdn switch type primary-net5!
    could this be the problem?
