Numbering what I want (picture for example)

Hello I am trying to write every thing I did with Word with Pages 08.
I have to write a report. So I want to put some pictures in it. But I want to numbering its, for example if I put a picture I would like to have :
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXX Picture XXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Schema number 2 : my map.
But if I put a picture in the middle of my report I want every Schema [] to be updated automatically (and same if I delete a picture). The reason is very simple, if I put a have 40 pictures and if I add one I do not want to change 30 label.
I know that with Word I only need to right-click on a picture and press "add legend" (I am not sure for the translation). And I decide if I prefer "figure X" or "X figure" etc... and the numbering will be build automatically.
For the moment I only succeed in adding I title with a list numbering after every picture (but that's very bad).

I have searching every where about this possibility but it appears nowhere.
So I begin to think like you : that it is not exist under Pages 08.
But I if any one have a solution (I do not know, a special use case of the numbers list for example).

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with syncing music to your iPod. For issues like this, I recommend resyncing the music to your iPod.
If you are syncing automatically, resync content to the iPod by unchecking "Sync Music" and clicking "Apply," then checking "Sync Music" and clicking "Apply" again.

When is 10.15, 9.15? - What I want is for me to be in charge of saying what time my appointment is

when in France I set loads of appointments in my calendar, eg 10.15 passport office. Back in Uk when I set the Timezone back to UK time the appointment now shows as 9.15. Turning time zone support on or off in calendar setting doenst fix, the appointment is set to 9.15 in month view and 10.15 when you click on it and 9.15 in week view.
What I want is for me to be in charge of saying what time my appointment is at, not what Apple thinks will be helpful.
If it were only 1 appointment then no bother however i also put in loads of train and flight times over the next few months which i presume the calendar has mangled.
Thanks Apple for this completely uselss and unhelpful 'feature' you have turned in my estimation from a space nerd shiny future box to a mad science bumbling iglor assistant.

ITunes (XP) no longer numbers tracks in the format, for example, 1 of 9"

When I would purchase an album on iTunes in the past, the songs downloaded with track numbers "1 of 9, 2 of 9, 3 of 9....9 of 9" Suddenly this has stopped. The tracks simply download as "1" "2" ..."9" I see no option to fix this. I prefer itunes to number the tracks 1 of 9, etc. How can I cause that to happen other than to number the tracks manually? Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

Just what I wanted/needed for digital photos...

ever since digital photography became mainstream and i ditched the 35mm camera for a digital one, one of my main hangups has been how to share photos with others. in the old days (35mm), you just grabbed the folder of prints and showed them to whoever. however, with digital pitcures prior to the iphone, i either had to email them or i had to go to the store for prints. now i can cram pretty much all my pictures on the iphone and can show them off conveniently, since i take it everywhere. for me, this is fast becoming one of the coolest unexpected perks of the iphone!

You could use Boot Camp to install Windows (XP or better) on your MBP. That would require a retail Windows install disk. After installing you can choose which OS you want to use at start up.
There are other solutions what will let you run Windows concurrently (at the same time) with Mac OS. The most common are VMware Fusion and Parallels. Both are commercial Mac apps. I believe there is an open source app that is similar but somewhat more cumbersome. Bootcamp is free - it comes with every Mac. VMware and Parallels cost in addition to the cost of a Windows install disk.

Skype phone numbers; what do I get for what I pay?

Hey all, first time user here so please bear with me.
I'm ditching my home phone and getting a Skype phone instead.
My plan is to get a 12-month unlimited plan for Canada and the US, and a Skype Phone Number.
Problem is, I'm not sure if I can get a Canadian number.
If I *CAN* get a Canadian number, I need to know if I automatically get one when I sign up for a 12-month unlimited plan.
Finally, I need to know if I can log in to any Skype-supported device and use this unlimited plan, be it on a computer, mobile phone, iPad or game console.

1. Unfortunately there are no Canadian Online #s.
2. You can make calls from a computer or Skype compliant phone using either a Skype Call Plan or Skype Credit.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

What countries are you going to?
With Dial assist, it should understand if you dial a local number in whichever countries you're visiting.
For example of what local ones will look like:

If you want to dial with the country code, you can drop the 0 that leads off pretty much all european numbers. (the 0 in parentheses)
For example, you see a number like this: +44 (0)7725 100 100
You can either dial +44 7725 100 100 or 07725 100 100 if you have a UK SIM card.
But it all depends on the home country your SIM card is from which will determine how well local dialing works without using the country code.
If you're travelling to multiple countries, you will recieve an SMS from the network telling you the roaming rates.
Also, I can recommend you to get the Magicjack app, it's free to download and will let you call any phone in the USA and Canda across any data connection (3G/Wifi) Free and unlimited too!

Can replaceAll do what I want?

I have a string "This is My string my way"
This text will be in a button's text property.
What I would like to do is add a html tag like the font tag to certain parts of the string to make it another color.
The user will for instance provide the input "my" ,all input will be lowercase.
Then it should add the following tag to the string : "This is My string my way"
This should be done for all matching strings upper and lower case.
I had a look at replaceAll, but it will replace only the exact string so if the input is lowercase it won't be replaced. I also need to retain the case of the "replaced" string so that "My" does not change to "my"
Can replaceAll be used to do what I want?
Some examples would be appreciated.

The first argument to replaceAll() is a regular expression, which means you can do a lot more than just match case-insensitively, but here's how you would do that: String str2 = str1.replaceAll("(?i)my", "$0");You might find these links useful:

There are no known viruses for OS X. If you have to worry about a website putting some malware on your computer, then you should not visit it any longer. Find a legitimate site.
