How to protect my Numbers files by password? It's very simple in Excel but I don't find the way in numbers guide. Thanks for answer.

But maybe you don't know that the *Numbers User Guide* (*Guide Utilisateur de Numbers*) is also for you.
Download it from the Help Menu (Menu d'Aide).

The links to click on in a widget are in numbers , fractions, or code instead of normal text? I dont know how to fix this!!!!!Can someone please help me out and tell me how to fix this problem with some of my widgets??

Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal.
When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
If there's no improvement, see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance. You can skip this step if you don't care about the data that hasn't been backed up.
Reinstall the OS.* Your data should be unaffected unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

Software Protection Code

What to do when you entered all the require info JDE System Values screen and when try to log in received a Code 4- Software protection code invalid (SPC or Maximum users).
I enter on the web site to generate my key but keep getting the same error. The SPC is the one generated from the website and the Max users=20.

I am not sure if there is a place to download a software protection code. So much has changed since JD Edwards was bought by Peoplesoft, and Peoplesoft was then bought by Oracle, and I have not needed to deal with SPC in many years. You definitely need a support agreement for JDE World to even be able to get a software protection code generated. You would need your AS/400 serial number and other processor information. You definitely want to contact Oracle support (JDE World portion) to find out how to get the software protection code. Oh, doesn't your install instructions have instructions on how to obtain and install the Software Protection Code. It should have that information.
By the way, when you say standalone on your machine, are you talking about a PC? If you are, then you might be in the wrong forum. JDE World can ONLY be installed on an IBM AS/400 computer. It cannot run on a PC. So you may be working with JDE Enterprise One (One World). If you are trying to install JDE Enterprise One, there is actually a separate forum for that. If you go back to the forum home and scroll down past JDE World, you will then find the JDE Enterprise One forum. So you would want to post this item there if you truly are trying to install Enterprise One on a PC.
Technically there is a large difference between World and Enterprise One.

My serial numbers and activation codes don't work

Hey, anybody out there? My serial numbers and activation codes don't work and I don't see anyway, through your menus to reach a PERSON!!

Not much happening out there.

Try the following:
Visit www.adobe.com
Click the MENU link near the upper-right
Click the ABOUT ADOBE link near the upper-right
Click the Contact Us link.
There are some phone numbers there you could try. I imagine if you call Sales and say you're having a problem they might be able to transfer you to a support line, though I haven't tried it myself.
I don't think there's much help we can give you here on the forum with that particular problem, unfortunately.

BP Catalog numbers and Item Codes Display

Hello
Is there any way that BP catalog numbers and item codes can be display together.
Or is there any work around available.
I have a client who wishes to use i.e view both the item code and the BP Cat Number on their screen..,
we create a formatted search and this worked.
However the purchase orders which are automattically generated through another Add-on cant use a formatted search to work.

I have a phone 6131 and I want to know if I can remove Protection Code. How can I remove the Protection Code?
Always the phone off, when I put on the phone ask me Protecion Code. It's possible to remove this Code?

It'll be somewhere in your options, try reading the manual it should tell you in there how to turn it off.

In Purchase Order Line item Maintaining Serial Numbers for Material Codes

Dear Gurus,
We have a business process in legacy system for Purchase Order like in PO line item, Material code with description, Quantity, unit of Measurement, Serial Number Start and Serial Number End is maintained, for example for Material code when we enter the data AXMLN00001 in Serial Number Start column, if the Qty 500 is maintained, by default system will calculate AXMLN00500 in Serial Number End column.
We understand that in standard SAP we donu2019t have this option of maintaining Serial Number Start and End in Purchase order Line item. Please let us know how this can be mapped and is it advisable to create two Z fields in EKPO table or else can we make any development.
Suppose if this is not possible in SAP for PO then in Banks if we want to place a order for Cheque books how we can maintain Start and End Serial Numbers to print in cheque books.
Also client is not agreeing to maintain manually Serial numbers in item text.

When the PO Item was created say for example Material had Valuation category "Y" and latter you wanted to change the category to "Y". Now system would have check for all open PO's etc...based on this you must have set Deletion Indicator to this Line Item to allow valuation category change in material master. Now when this Item got created in the table level (EKPO), system updates the valuation category "Y". Currently this valuation category is not active so it would not allow you to perform removal of deletion indicator as program cannot automatically nor you have an option to manually update the valuation category to this Item.

I'd like to change the random letters of the code template in Motion 5 to be random numbers.
PLATFORM: quad 2.9 macpro, Mavericks, 8 GB RAM, Motion 5.

type the number you want. I highly recommend a monospace font (or at least a font with monospace number characters -- there are a few...)
Add > Behaviors > Text Animation
Parameter Add > Format > Character Offset
Set Character Offset to 18 (seems to work well.)
Character Set: Preserve Case & Digits
Adjust Spread to taste.
Consider Direction > Random

Format column in Numbers for zip code

how do I get a leading zero for zip codes??

start by selecting the cell(s) yu want to format, then go to the Format menu and choose Create Custom Cell Format:
In the dialogue that opens:
Edit the name to reflect the use to which this format will be placed.
Leave the type as Numbers & Text
Note the example (orange circle) showing how a number will appear under the curent format.
Click the white triangle (see arrow) in the Integer tablet (red circle) to open the options menu.
Take three trips to the options menu:
Choose Hide Separator
Choose Show Zeros for Unused Digits
Choose Add Digit
Click OK to return to the document.
Note that this will work for the original five digit Zip codes. Extended five-four codes will be treated as text, as can be seen in the image above. and will not sort correctly (see column D of left table below). For correct sorting, format the column as text and enter the Zip codes including the leading zeros, as has been done in the single column on the right (before the column was sorted into the displayed order).

I have the following Metric numbers in the web based OEM:
CPU Used
Run Queue Length
Physical Reads (KB)
Redo Size (KB)
User I/O
System I/O
Network
Concurrency
Commit
I know above Metric numbers come from V$ tables such as: V$SESSION, V$SYSSTAT, V$SESSION_WAIT, V$SYSTEM_EVENT
Is there anyway that OEM shows me how exactly it gets these numbers, so I can have the very same number in my PLSQL code?

Logistic Invoice posting numbering per company code

Hi,
If we post an incomming invoice the numbering will be 5100000 for company code DE01
next posting will be 5100001 for company code FR01.
How can we setup that for every company code the number starts at 5100000?

I did, but then you lose the 1 on 1 relationship with the MM LIV document.
I would like a new numberrange for the MM LIV document per company code and the financial document will follow this flow. Is this possible?

Map numbers in application code

In the Help project I inherited, the Help map ID numbers were
evidently changed to match those already in the application. The
app developer and engineers here don't understand where the numbers
come from--the Help as been around for 10 years. The developer
isn't familiar with the terms "map ID," "map file," or "map
number." Where can I find the map IDs/map files in the application
code, which is in C++? I have looked in the application source
files and cannot locate them. Any ideas?

For what it's worth ... We use Visual C++ and the map numbers
are put into "commonres.h" (common resources header file). I don't
know if this is a default name or not. All of our help was
originally WinHelp and HTMLHelp was patched into that.
I don't use this file though. I use RoboHelp's BugHunter to
find the IDs from the application and create my own header file for
the Help.

Protecting code from design view?

Can you configure the tag pattern that tells Dreamweaver to
"leave this code alone in design view"?
Dreamweaver does a good job of respecting code blocks (PHP,
ASP, whatever) in design mode. However, we're going to have some
people develop Smarty templates with Dreamweaver, so I need to
specify the tag pattern of stuff that should only be accessible in
code view.
Is this possible?

I found out how to do this. Open
"configuration/ThirdPartyTags/Tags.xml". Add a new "directive_spec"
tag there, defining the start and end tags. I also specified an
icon to replace the code in design view.
Works beautifully.

File Protection Code

You can password protect the file but the user has the option to share the password.
If this is a one-off issue, you're probably out of luck.
If it's a larger need to protect files, you can build a rights management infrastructure:

At the end of the day, if you give someone a file, they can share the information and there's nothing much you can do about it. (if the NSA loses data, what chance do you have?)
