Numbers Application Freezing 2 IPads in One day??

Numbers has caused two different I Pads I have purchased in one day to freeze up and stop working. At first I thought perhaps it was the unit itself, Possible ram overload or something. After having it replaced on warranty. I came home updated my ipad ( only the numbers app mind you) and it still froze when trying to open documents????!!!! ARGG!!! WTFF! I really love my mac and Ipad but numbers is the only application I use religiously for work and for life so without a working numbers app I have a useless touchscreen. PLEASE HELP!

I just started having the same problem. I had a lot of dead Numbers documents in cloud storage, so I spent the afternoon cleaning reorganizing and putting files into the cloud that I wanted to use on my iPad mini. I did this from my iMac, then confirmed on iWork that the changes were there. I opened Numbers on the ipad, and the changes weren't reflected, and none of the files were loading. So I deleted the app, thinking it would reload everything and it would be refreshed. Now when it opens it's a blank screen with the Numbers header and linen background, but no documents, and nothing to click on. When I hold down the home button so I can close Numbers, it freezes the ipad. Seems like I killed Numbers on the ipad, which makes me sad.

I have done a tale in numbers and now i want to view it from another ipad (which have also another icloud account) So how i can connect from one ipad to another (via WebDav, iCloud or another?) to view a live changes on main ipad?

How to install applications for multiple iPads with one ID?

Hey guys,
I have to prepare many iPads for work, and I've found the process to be very redundant. In order to ensure that the applications are tied to the ID of the final client, I have to first create an account under my email, download all the applications and then change the email to the client's. Now when I have to prepare another device, I have to delete the applications in iTunes and re-download them with a new account to make sure they are tied to the next ID. Is there a way to download and sync all the applications under one ID, and not have issue with updates in the future? Keep in mind I'm only installing free applications.

I was referring in particular to the logs that are created by Workshop
itself (in the workshop directory). It creates workshop.log and netui.log.

The best option for you is to create multiple domains for each developer.
They will share the same workshop installation, but they will each have

It gives me an error (in my example: 'VALUE requires a string specifying a number, but found "-14308.65" instead.'
The exact same document (if converted from Numbers to excel), displays the converted string/text correctly in MS Excel as a value though.

click on the cell then in the formula bar and use the arrow keys to move the cursor to see if there are any other characters in the cell that could confuse the function. Also make sure the localization for your country is correct in System Prefs.
Maybe copy the EXACT contents of the cell and post here.

no they are already in mp3 format I just tried that home sharing today because I couldnt find any other reason why they werent syncing. here is an example of a sync I just tried. I made an mp4 concert into an mp3 it came out perfect on my computer.. then I tried to sync it to my ipad with no luck, other than it going on my computer, it did not show up anywhere on my ipad in any area of the music sections etc playlists, songs, albums etc. Its just not there but remains on my computer. thats why I tried the home share today to see if that would help. Either I am really missing something or there is something wrong with this ipad. Do you use MobileMe and an iPhone? If yes, do this in the following order:
Mac:
(1) back up the applications giving you problems
iPhone
(1) Open settings, then open "mail, contacts, calendars"
(2) Open .Mac account
(3) Turn OFF the applications that are causing problems
(4) When you turn off on of the applicatios, a red sign "stop syncing" will appear. Press it. A msg will appear "turning off xxx"
(5) Get out of settings
(6) Don't do anything for about 20 mins. Don't touch your iPhone or your Mac. (syncing needs time to settle down)
After 20 minutes...
Mac:
(1) Open each application that is giving you problems. Fix errors. Back up.
(2) Do this for each application
iPhone
(1) Open settings, then open "mail, contacts, calendars"
(2) Open .Mac account
(3) Slide switch to ON for each app you turned off; there won't be a msg
(4) Get out of settings
(5) Via MobileMe, syncing will start again.
Wait about 20 minutes, again. You should see all in order after that. At least, that was my experience.

On iPad 3, all of my calendar items lasting more than one day do not appear correctly when looking at the monthly view of the calendar; only the first day of the appointment appears. For example, if I am taking a vacation for 4 days, only the first day of the vacation is marked on the calendar, instead of being listed on all 4 days. When I look at the weekly view, however, it is correct and is listed on all 4 days. The problem here of course is that at a glance, there is no way to look at my monthly schedule. On my iPhone, everything is correct, regardless of month or week view, so clearly this is an iPad problem I guess? Please advise on how this can be corrected. Thank you!

Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

How do I get the Numbers application iOS 7.0.4 unstuck updating on iPad 2?

How do I get the Numbers application unstuck in updating on iPad 2? After the last update of iOS 7 it started acting up. Then weeks ago (in November) I opened the application right after iOS 7.0.4 update and while accessing a file it got stuck, some files are white and I can access them. Other files are gray and I can not open them. The application goes white when it first opens up instead of just opening then there is a delay, then it eventually opens. It is stuck updating.
I have tried various things. 1) Rebooting, 2) hard reboot (holding down the off button and home key until the apple icon appears), 3) tried putting it in Airplane mode-reboot-then connect to computer and iTunes-then rebooted. 4) tried opening a file in another application- I get an error message that says : can't open spreadsheet- this spreadsheet is updating, wait for it to finish then try opening. 5) sending spreadsheet- I get an error message that says : this spreadsheet is updating, wait for it to finish then try sending. None of these have worked.
I am at my wits end I use these files for my business and I am self-employed, some files I can't access at all, this is very serious for me. If you know how to fix this please help me. I transferred all of my NECESSARY and IMPORTANT client files to Numbers from Excel, I've been using Numbers successfully for about 1 year.

"All-day" events in iCal appear one day early in week-view on iPad

Just got an iPad and synced with iCal. I noticed that "all day" events appear correctly in day-view and month-view, but in week-view, they are shifted one day earlier. But if I choose to edit such an event, the information is still correct, e.g. an all-day event for Monday, May 31 and Tuesday, June 1, has that information, and it appears on Monday and Tuesday in day- and month-view, but in week-view, it has "slid left" such that it appears on Sunday and Monday. Anyone else seeing this? Any solutions?

I have the same issue on all day events synced from Exchange. The items look fine in the day or month view.

Birthday calendar on iPad one day early with iOS5

The birthday calendar shows all birthdays one day early after upgrade to iOS5 on original iPad. I have all the automatic time adjustments and location recognition on. What is wrong?

I have read that this is a bug, here is a fix which has worked for me at least for the time being:
Here is a process that worked for me to correct the information in Calendars re birthdays appearing one day out:
(1) If your iPad/phone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPad/phone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
(2) sync your iPad/phone to iTunes.
(3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPad/iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
(4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPad/iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
(5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPad/iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.

A one day entry on iPhone calendar shows as two days on iPad?!

I know you're thinking this is probably something to do with timezones differences between the iPhone and the iPad?
Each year I put the F1 grand prix races in my calendar as a one-day event on the Sunday they take place. On Sunday 27th March 2011 is the Australian grand prix.
On my iPhone (I'm in the UK and running the latest version on an iPhone 4 etc.) it shows as a one-day event but on my iPad it stradles two-days! When I go to click EDIT on the iPhone entry, despite showing as a Sunday entry only, it shows that it starts on Sunday 27th March and finished on Monday 28th March!
I spent a couple of hours looking at this. No other grand prix date has this discrepancy between the iPad and the iPhone calendars (that are sync'd with MobileMe calendar). It's just this one date.
I even had a friend add an event on the same date and it also suggested it was a one day event but when you edit it then it shows it's a two day event.
And then the only explanation dawned on me. It wasn't time zone setting differences as that would affect all the entries like that the whole year.
27th March is the date the clocks go forward in the UK for British Summer Time!
Is it a bug though? Why does the iPhone show it as one day but the iPad show it as two?
What is it with Apple and calendars and alarms?! And don't start me on the MobileMe calendar and Outlook integration. It's rubbish.

Hi Boneart - I feel for you.
I too have the same issue (Feb 2014) which I have just discovered today as I am not a strong user of all-day events, until today when I tried to schedule annual holidays in my diary. I can confirm the EXACT SAME issues that you have described with all-day events displacing 24 hrs EARLY for sync Outlook to iOS calendar, and all-day events displaced 24hrs LATE for sync iOS calendar to Outlook. I also confirm that the issue does not exist for specified time appointments, as you also found.
I note from several other discussion threads that Apple have previously focussed on an issue of all-day events syncing to span 2-days; that is not yet apparent in my situation BUT I will be watching with interest whether a subsequent synchronisation causes the displaced dates to also synchronise back providing the same event apparently spanning 2 days but ACTUALLY existing as two events with identical properties on successive days.
One oddity is that I also operate in the NZ time zone; I wonder if that is significant???
For a brief period I trialled iCloud with a thrid-party patch to resolve the native iCloud issue of not providing 2-way synch with Outlook. That worked beautifully ... until Apple provided an update to the iCloud interface which destroyed all functionality for me. I'm back to hard-wire sync via USB wire again. Very frustrating!!
Finally it is sad that Apple has no interest in these issues. It strikes me that as soon as there is a non-Apple platform involved they blame the other system and wash their hands of it.

Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.
