Numbers does not recognize links with cyrillics symbols
When I creating hyperlink in Numbers/Pages and paste web link with cyrillics symbols, apple.com (default link) not changing
So at the moment I am using URL Shorteners.
Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

Belkin's Nostromo N52 does not recognize/work with games
I am using Belkin's Nostromo N52 gamepad with my iMac G5
Recently I installed "James Bond 007 Nightfire" and "Tron 2.0". Nostromo is not recognizing Nightfire at all. When I select the application Nightfire.app, Nostromo does not work as usually when others.
When I select "Tron", even though it looks like is accepted when I actually play the game Nostromo resets automatically by itself to the "global" settings without using the ones I chose for Tron.
I have not experience this issue with any other of the games that I have previously played (Jedi Academy, Halo, Doom 3, Medal of Honor). All these work correctly. Any ideas?The fan and light issue are the result of using the incorrect PMU reset on your Intel mini. The correct procedure for an Intel mini is the SMC reset, as detailed here:

Also keep in mind that the antenna for Wifi on your 2010 mini is on the bottom, so although it may sound odd, you could try flipping the mini over to test for improved signal. While upside down, I suggest a soft towel to avoid scratching the top of the mini. If that test improves or solves your reception issue, the surface the mini is placed on probably is the cause of your reception issues. -
Image Capture does not recognize scanner with latest update of Mavericks 10.9.4
Since last week (8-5-14) after updating to OS 10.9.4 (13E28) Image Capture and Printers and Scanner (in System Prefs.) do not recognize my scanner. What the hay! Yes, my scanner is elderly but like me is in perfect working condition. Until now. I've spent hours trouble shooting, i. e., downloading EPSONPrintDriver2.18.dmg and reinstalling, a waste of time. Changing usb/firewire cables, switching usb ports, deleting pref files and cussing. The Epson web site was useless it just tells me to download updates via Apple software updates. I hate the idea of being so dammed dependant on any one organization (Apple). I've been an Apple user since the Apple 2C but I do believe that will change soon.
Anyone with a solution or replacement app for Image Capture? I don't want to spend my Social Security money on VueScan which dose work for me unless I have to.Try resetting the printing system. It can also affect the scanner.

If I understand the problem correctly (I’m not sure I do) you would prefer ‘iii’ to be read as “eye eye eye” rather than “three”? The alt text property is the only way that I know of to make this happen. Hope this helps.

Anyone else notice that facial recognition does not recognize people with "white/silver" hair?
I have several family members who are premature gray and have full heads of hair and the facial recognition ID's them about 25% of the rest of my subjects. anyone else notice. and their hair is in exposure.
Same thing here. Lr had a hard time with a couple people with pure white hair. About the same 25%.

I "Erased all content and settings" and now my iTunes does not recognize my iPhone when I plug it in. Plus my iPhone is stuck with the apple symbol on it and wont do anything. what did I do? How do I get my phone to work again?
Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart. Usually takes about 10 seconds time. If still problem. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the Firmware.

I have run into a peculiar problem with the Safari browser on mobile platforms (IPad, IPod, IPhone) which I hope I can find a solution for in this community.

On this particular product, the product variants are supposed to work in such a way where:
If you select the value "1/8" from the "Choose Ribbon Width" field
THEN
The only options active and available to choose from in the "Choose Roll Size" field should be: 500 Yds, 20 Yds & Sample Swatch
Now, if we browse to the above link in Safari using a desktop or a laptop, there are no problems at all, but if we browse to the above link using an IPhone or an Ipad, then we have a problem where all the options are available regardless of the values chosen, basically the above functonality does not work.
I was told that there an issue with Safari in Iphones and Ipads where it does not recognize option disabled="disabled" tag properly, is this true? Can anyone advise me if there is a solution to this problem? I would sincerely apperciate it.

When visiting a site I frequent I tried to download a linked .pdf file. Previously I've used Firefox 7.0.1 to download the link with no problem. Using Firefox 8 however I the browser does not recognize the .pdf link's mime type. Instead of recognizing the download link as a .pdf file Firefox 8 tries to download it as "index.php". Firefox 8 does this with .doc files and .txt files as well. When I downgrade to 7.0.1 again the problem disappears.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

My netgear router does not recognize my password and i cannot access it with my iphone
My Netgear DG834PN router does not recognize my user name or password when i try to access WI FI with my iphone.I cannot get wifi on my iphone from this or any router. The router is a wireless and hardwired unit.
Is your password by any chance in Hex? (all numbers or letters a through f) If so you may be able to translate the hex into ASCII or you could change to an ASCII password. I had to make that kind of change. Good luck.

Computer with Windows Vista SP 2 and Desktop 5.0.0.11 does not recognize the BB via USB

I have had an 8100 for some time. Recently the desktop will communicate to the 8100 via bluetooth but Windows does not recognize the 8100 when I plug it in via USB. I have tried downloading and reinstall the desktop with no luck.
Suggestions?

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these.

I bought an apple iPod 5th generation the other day and I cannot remember the unlock passcode. I have done the restore thing, but because I never set it up or synced it with iTunes, it does not recognize my device. It is disabled for one hour. There's only a few things that could be my passcode, but because it disables for an hour, it is time consuming trying to figure it out. What do I do? I do not care about having to erase everything since it's new and there's nothing on it, but it was never synced with iTunes.
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
