Numbers get exported as Text when selecting Download to Excel / Download to

I have a dashboard report in which the numbers appear in the French format as follows:
37 167 534,4
In English format, it would represent
37,167534.4
When i export my report, the number is displayed in Excel as text, and not as a number. This is because of the space in between37 and 167 in the French format.
What changes do i make to ensure that the number is exported as a number, and not as text?
I'm using Office 2003 SP3. Need a solution ASAP.

I'm hoping at least lens corrections and profiles get applied. I know many other edits such as local brush edits do NOT export to PS when doing the merge to 32 bit HDR.
Is there a list somewhere? I don't want to have to personally test each function.

No problem with a few extra steps:
Apply your Local adjustments, select all of the images, and then use 'Edit in Photoshop.' With the images open in PS select File> Automate> Merge to HDR Pro and then click on 'Add Open Files.'
The above procedure is also useful when using an older version of PS/ACR with a newer version LR/ACR (i.e. images are rendered in LR) with Merge to HDR Pro.

I created a report in Developer and have the ability to export the report to a text file. However, when i saved to report to Crystal Server and run it I do not have the option to export to text. What is the difference and why the limitation?

Usually your cd-burning-software should be able to show you if it supports CDText or not (for example Nero has it's own info-tool that informs you about all features of your drive).
But if your drive is only one year old it really should support CDText.

Getting Export Controller Error When Exporting MPEG2 to High boardband & up

I just got QuickTime Pro and MPEG 2 Playback for Windows. I am getting an Export Controller Error When Exporting MPEG2 to High boardband or to the default settings. The file I am exporting is around 60 MB and when it gets to about 15%, the program errors. However, the program works for Medium and low Board band. If anybody has a solution for my problem, I would love to know.

Not sure if this is going to work, but it worked for me. After exporting the movie and I got the error, I noticed that the process "exportController" was still running, so I stopped it from the task manager and am not sure but apperantly that was the problem because once I did that the file open up fine in other players like Winamp. Also after stopping the process the following exports I did seemed to be exported fine without any errors !... worth a shot.

Started getting this error msg when selecting photomerge or merge hdr in CS6 and CS5

Not sure what this is due to, but did reinstall CS6 with no change. Previously these functions worked fine. Does not have anything to do with the files to be merged since the program does not ever get to the point of requesting file names. This is on a win 7 system with 16 GB ram.

Have you tried a preference reset? Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Opt+Shift as you initiate Photoshop's startup. Select "yes" when asked if you would like to continue with reset.

Bold text when selected

I have created a library item on the left side of the page
with links to other pages. It looks something like this:
Home
Business
>Parts
> Accessories
Personal
> Parts
> Accessories
I want each link to bold ONLY when it is selected. Also, how
do I get the sublinks to only appear when the main link is
selected.
Example:
Home
Business
Personal
> Parts

> Accessories

This is quite annoying, you know? It causes the links to
wiggle around,
since a bold character is somewhat wider than a normal
character. I don't
like that motion.
Anyhow, there are much better ways to achieve this kind of
thing than doing
a piecemeal construction.

I get an error message when trying to open the download disk.

I need to reinstall photoshop cs5. I have downloaded it, but cannot open the downloaded disk. I get an error message saying it can't be opened due to it being "not recognized".

Try to open it manually via your disk utility. If it doesn't open, download it again - using another browser and storing it to anotehr location.

But when I tried to change theme from Grey to White steel directly without preview it gets hanged and restarted.

In the search window, if you can, search for "com.apple.finder.plist". Trash it, and restart.
If you can't do it, put your machine in Target Mode, and connect to a buddies machine. Search for, and remove, that same file.

Error when select sheet for Excel file from Excel 2013 with visual basic

The above code run with no problem when use in machines with Excel 2007 and Excel 2010.
But when run in machine with Excel 2013, error with "Out of Range" occur. Kindly advise for any solution.

Export to Text failing when Report height is more than 23 inches

I have a problem while exporting to Text, when report height is more than 23 inches. It's failing with "an unhandled exception occurred in crw32.exe [3856]"
Both Crystal Reports 2008 and Crystal Reports XI Release 2 are failing. Export to PDF is working fine.
I am trying to design a lengthy report and export to text.
I searched in forum with out any results.
It would be great, if some body can point me in right direction. Thank you.

To work around this error message, disable DEP by performing the following steps:
1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click 'System'. The "System Properties" dialog box appears.
3. Click the 'Advanced' tab.
4. Click 'settings' under 'performance'.
5. Click the 'Data Execution Prevention' tab
6. Select 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:'.
7. Click 'Add'.
8. Browse for the application CRW32.exe. This file is located in:
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 12\
9. Select CRW32.exe and click 'Apply'.
10. Click 'OK' to close the 'System Properties' dialog box.
11. Log on as an Administrator and start Crystal Reports.
Now try to export report to the text format and observe the behavior.

Can't format text when entire text box is selected

I'm having trouble with text formatting. I have a document in which I can't format text at all if the entire box is selected; all formatting menus are grayed out. (I can format text if individual lines are highlighted using the cursor.) I've tried resetting preferences and resaving the document using IDML. If it matters, I'm using OSX Mavericks, iD CS6, and the Suitcase Fusion extension. Can anyone help?

Are selecting the text, or the frame? If the latter, you can only format text when selecting the frame if it isn't threaded to other frames. For the former, turn off suitcase, to start, and if that doesn't change things see Replace Your Preferences

Fetch Sales order & item from Prod ord to TR Header text when staging mat

We have a need to see Sales order and item number in TR header text when selecting TR to be processed in transaction LB10.
TR´s are created via transaction LP10. Is there any solution to get Sales order number from Production order to be automatically pasted to TR header text field when generating TR?
SO & item is always available in Production order General data.

Ipod nano gets unknown error -48 when trying to restore

Hi All
My Ipod nano gets unknown error -48 when trying to restore and download the software update. Specifcally, when I connect my ipod, I get a message saying itunes cannot access the ipod and that I should restore it. I go the the ipod tab, hit the restore button and the download begins (approx 16mb). The download completes, and then I get this message :
There was a problem downloading the ipod software for the ipod "ipod". An unknown error occurred (-48).
Please help !!!!!
