Numbers is not backing up

Numbers has not backed up in three weeks and yes I have updated the software. I cloud HELP!!!

Do you have enough space? Is Numbers selected in the apps to be backed up?
Other thought: Since OSX Mountain Lion, Numbers and Pages and Keynote documents are automatically saved on iCloud. Therefore, they may have removed it from the back up part as it is online anyway (www.icloud.com > log in and go on iWork. You should be able to see your documents).

Try contacting Apple through their Express Lane.
Just click iTunes on the left > iTunes Store > iTunes Cards and Codes, and then fill out the form to see if they can take care of the problem.

Numbers 09 not working - I can open the program but only a few files are available, missing blank, checklist and many others. e.g when I click on a file I get this error: The document "nmbtemplate is invalid. The index.xml file is missing. help.

Please let me know what I can do to get my Numbers (iWork 09) working properly again.
Here is what is going on:
Numbers in iWork 09 not working can't access Blank, Checklist and many other files within Numbers. I can open the program but only a few files are available. When I click on the file (which also has no icon just the name of the file) this warning appears:
The document "Blank.nmbtemplate" is invalid. The index.xml file is missing.
I recently had to get a new hard drive installed and had the system upgraded and more memory put in by a Mac certified specialist recommended to me from the Apple store in Northbrook because this was the 3rd time my drive went bad but this time it was to old (I got the IMAC- in 2007) and the Apple store could no longer work on it this time so they recommended a few places that had certified Mac specialists. Since then Numbers is not working right.
I'm sure it's something simple to fix, but I've tried re installing it and that didn't work. Appreciate any help.

There is one way its getting fixed. Once I update my Adobe Illustrator CC to Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 it is further allowing me to go into the system folder and allocate the font to the file so that it can replace it. My only concern now is that our MAC partners who will receive these files back from us have Adobe CS6. We will down save it to CS6 but I hope they won't experience any font issues because of us using CC 2014? Any light you can shed on this?

ITunes could not back up the iPhone because the back-up could not be saved

I updated my 3GS to the 4os software and after the sync was complete All seemed okay but I am not able to use my camera nor am I able to access my photos on my iphone. It says "updating library" and then closed out of the application. I just tried to sync my phone again (A week later) and I get an error message: "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the back-up could not be saved on the computer" I have 200GB free space on my hard drive so I know it is not a memory issue. Is this the same issue everyone is experiencing?
Is this an iPhone issue or an iTunes issue?
Any suggestions to get this to work?

I had the same problem with my iPhone4, and I could resolve it thanks to some ideas that I took from Loopster77´s post.
You have to delete the current iTunes backup directory on your computer, that is on PC:
C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\<40 letters and numbers>
being "xxxxxxxx" the username of the computer owner.
What you have to delete is that "<40 letters and numbers>" directory.
After that, your iTunes will be perfectly capable of doing the backup.

I wish I could have told my sister about this as she could not open my homepage back before my new iWeb site. She now can open my site without the yet in case denial window does appear = I thank you.
I think my iWeb site works as Noone has said otherwise from any platform etc...

I do agree that should not have to be a consideration for any users so i agree that it would be great if Apple could allow simplicity to run seemlessly.
I have had this problem since Homepage, and here is
what has worked for me. I send out the link, and
then for PC users I send the link with "<" after the address (without quotation
marks. e.g., <http://site.com>).
I also put a note that if that doesn't work, to just
copy and paste the link into a browser. With that I
have only had 1 person say they still can't open.
Everyone else gets it to work.
It's a lot to do and seems like a hassle, but you get
used to it.

I need to expand my experience to you with this issue.:
     If I update numbers on my Air laptop the changes are reflected on Ipad Air.
     If I update numbers on my Ipad Air the are reflected on my laptop.
Thinking my problem is in my MAC I tried:
     I went to icloud on my MAC and tried to reset documents and data with no sucess. I tried 2 different 24 hr. periods.
     I signed out of icloud on my MAC and signed back in the problem of making changes to numbers on MY MAC were not reflected on my ipad or laptop
If you have any other ideas I would love to hear them.

My pages and numbers are not updating for about a week now Why?

Some one else had a similar problem last night...same as yours. He claimed that Pages had been stuck trying to update for about week. I posted this and he said that it worked - which part he did not say - but give these things a try.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to resume the download.
If you have all of your Pages files backed up in iTunes or on your Mac, this might be the answer. Try deleting the waiting icon - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
I have deleted Pages a couple of times when I had issues with it and then reinstalled it. I even deleted a stalled Pages once and then tried the update successfully again after that. My files are always backed up in iTunes and on my Mac so I had no apprehension about deleting the waiting download.

TM not backing up program prefs

Hi Everyone,
I'm having a problem where TM is not backing up the registration information for my apps. This is a problem as I didn't have one or two of them saved and also some of my apps have a set number of activations. I'm a relatively new convert so i don't have a clue where this is usually stored.... I have also found that some apps have lost some settings that I had to hand code myself, very irritating. Any idea how I can fix?

TM backs up everything including the registration numbers. as mentioned you just need to know where they are stored. the problem is that when you migrate your data from a TM backup after an OS reinstall using Setup Assistant, it DOES NOT restore everything. it restores the user folders, the main applications folder, the folder /Library/Application Support and a few other things. if an application stores some stuff somewhere else that info won't be transfered during that procedure. if you are doing a restore on the same machine that you originally backed up you can use the full system restore utility on the leopard install DVD. that method WILL restore everything including your applications registration info. there is no need to reinstall the os first. in fact, the restore utility will wipe your drive prior to the restore anyway. boot from the leopard install DVD and choose 'restore system from bacup" from the Utilities menu.

I have been useing number and my iphone, ipad and mac and everything been perfect. Now numbers will not sync on any device. I logged out and removed, reinstalled logged back in several times. Is there a issue?

Numbers will not download in my Mac after i've purchased it. I go back to the Apps Store and it shows as installed and it does not allow me to retry to download. Anyone going through the same thing?

Do you have any external or network drives attached that have Numbers installed? Unfortunately, the Mac App Store looks at all available drives & if it "sees" one with the program already installed it will not install it again. You will need to disconnect all other drives & then try again.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Does your external hard drive have it's own power supply? It should.
Is your external hard drive formatted with the NTFS file system? It won't work.
It needs to be formatted either with Mac OS Extended or FAT32.
(There are drivers available to add NTFS support to OS X but their quality is unknown, especially the "free" ones.)
