Numbers issue importing csv with this field "00:00:00:00"

Greetings,
I'm trying to import a .csv file into Numbers. One of the fields is Timecode with the format 00:00:00:00
Numbers tries to read this as a date and doesn't know how to deal with it. I've tried every cell type to no avail..
Anyone have any ideas?
thx

I'm importing a .csv file from an audio recorder with the goal of generating a .pdf report. Inside the .csv file is a column that for every file has a smpte timecode field in the form of hr:min:sec:frames or 01:02:45:00
When importing this into Numbers, the program can't convert this properly so it creates a useles date out of if. I need Numbers to just import this as Text or not attempt to convert it to some other field type. Here's what a row from the output of the recorder looks like
25Y-04.WAV,25Y,04,00:01:35,04:44:12:00,"MIX",,"BOOM-416",,,,,,,,,,"",
Numbers doesn't deal with 04:44:12:00

I have gone to this website almost everyday for years and I have not changed anything in my internet settings, but now I'm getting this message: secure connection failed: The Certifying Authority for this certificate is not permitted to issue a certificate with this name. (Error code: sec_error_cert_not_in_name_space) The only thing I KNOW I did differently, was I installed a CAC reader to my computer, since then, this has been happening. Is there a setting I can change?? E-mail is: [email protected] Thanks! Megan

  • Importing csv with dates

    Hi all,
I am importing csv files that contain (among others) two columns with dates into Numbers. The dates are all uniformly formatted by dd.mm.yyyy, which is in Germany the usual date format. However, the import changes them into numbers, e.g.
    26.10.2009 becomes 38650
    13.11.2009 becomes 38668
So, there seams to be some logic behind, but how can I conveniently get the correct date back?
    Thanks for any help.
    Best regards.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to change the cell format type to 'date' *after* importing the data, it just remained 'number'.
However, I found a way to work around the problem: Introducing a new column and using there the function EDATE gave me the original date back! The function takes two arguments, the first I let point to the cell with the strange number, the second I let point to an empty cell.
EDATE might not be meant to work that way and this feature is not documented, anyway, it worked for me.

  • Numbers date import csv

I am trying to import a csv file into a UK version of Numbers but the csv file has dates formatted in US notation. When this CSV file is opened in numbers one of two things happens. Either the date is not recognized as a date and remains as it is, or the date is recognised as the incorrect date.
    CASE 1
In CSV file I have  "06/26/2012 05:58"     Which is the 26th of June at 5:58
In numbers it comes up as : 06/26/2012 05:58   whne imported.. Note this is not recognised as date but as plain text
    CASE 2
In CSV file I have   "07/02/2012 05:56"      Which is the 2nd of July 2012 at 5:56
In Numbers it comes up as : 7 Feb 2012 05:56 when imported.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? I would really appreciate help on this
    -Andy

    Hi Jerry,
Thanks for responding. I understand why it happens, but do you know how to have a UK version recognise the US formatted dates?
The CSV files I import are exported from a legacy system and I can't change the format it exports. Developed in the US, so all dates are in MM/DD/YYYY. I have been fixing manualy but I am now faced with thousands of records to go through and I was kind of hoping there is a simpler way to do this.
I can't work out how to set the application to a different zone, it's not in the preferences.

  • Excel import error with NCHAR field on v1.2.1

Hi, we've tried to import data from Excel to an Oracle table (10g) using SQL Developer 1.2.1. However it failed with the following error in Log Window:
    ORA-00917: missing comma
Further checking revealed that one field in Oracle table was defined as NCHAR, while the generated DML value was without quote:-
    insert into test_table (field1,field2) VALUES(123,1B);
When we replaced the '1B' value to numeric value 11, the import worked. As we're using an application package, we cannot simply modify the table/field's attribute from NCHAR to CHAR. Is there a way to configure SQL Developer that will have the quote placed like:-
    insert into test_table (field1,field2) VALUES(123,'1B');
which works fine in SQL Developer Query mode.
    Please advise, thanks :)

Note and thanks for handling and fixing this issue.
Furthermore to the import function, we also noted that the default setting cannot fit to inserting data with Chinese (or Double Byte) characters, we will need to add a "N" as a prefix, e.g.:-
    insert into table_a (field_a, field_b) values(123, N'一二三')
If "N" is missing, field_b will only contains garbage.
As we notice that the import will generate insert statements, please see if you can include this problem as part of the "missing quote" fix, thanks.

  • Import Wizard with timestamp fields

    Hi there,
I'm trying to copy data with time stamp from one server to another, but I'm keep getting the following error.
Error 0xc0202048: Data Flow Task: Attempting insertion into the row version column "TimeStamp". Cannot insert into a row version column.
(SQL Server Import and Export Wizard)
Is there anyway I can deselect the timestamp field when I run the wizard?
How can I successfully transfer the data?
    Thanks
    regards,
    Mike

Hi, I'm having the same issue even with the On Error column set to 'ignore" in the Data Type Mapping review screen.
I've also seen in the Conversion Details the comment about timestamp vs VarChar, but if I uncheck the Convert column I am unable to run the import.
There must be a way to overcome this?
    Thanks

  • Import csv with date into HANA

    Hi,
I have a table with multiple text columns and one date column in the csv I am trying to import I have the date as YYYY-MM-DD which I thought was the format I needed. Every time I select the csv and the table to import to then press next my whole studio freezes up and I have to do a force close.
I attached the screen where I get to when it freezes. When I take this column out it loads fine.
Can someone tell me the correct format for date to enter it in CSV, or what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Connor

  • Issue Importing CDs with OS 10.5.4 and iTunes 7.7 update

This is just a minor issue I have noticed since updating. I was wondering if anybody else can reproduce this. Here's whats happening...
When I put a store-bought audio CD in, and iTunes recognizes it, a message pops up saying "Would you like to import the CD 'XXX' into your iTunes library?"
If I click yes, the CD seems to disappear out of iTunes and off the desktop. I hit eject on my keyboard and it comes out though. If I click no to this message, then I can click the import CD button at the bottom right of iTunes, and everything works as it should.
Like I said, its a minor issue, but maybe its an easy fix too.

This issue has already been reported several times in these forums over the past 6-8 months. Various OSX updates, iTunes updates, workarounds, have not fixed the problem as of yet. Personally, I have not imported anything since updating to 7.7, but have my fingers crossed. See the following link for a detailed discussion.

  • Issues importing file with "copy into document option".

I am running Framemaker 7.1.  I need to import a .jpg image into my document.  I selected File-Import-File and then selected the file and the "copy into document" option.  This placed the .jpg image into my document.  I saved the document and then closed it.  Then I moved the .jpg image file which I imported into the document to another location.  I then re-opened the document and I get the following message:
"Missing File - Looking for ../xx.jpg".  I select the "Skip This File" option and then "Continue".  When I scroll down through the document to where I had previously imported the .jpg image and when I get to that page, I get the following message popup, "Cannot display some imported graphics.  The images will appear as gray boxes."  Once I select "OK" on the popup message, the image is displayed as normal.
Could someone help explain to me how I can actually copy the image into the document without any reference to the original file pathname.
    Thanks.

I was able to activate the hypertext.  When I click on the hypertext for the imported picture reference, the original document opens up but I don't see anything to indicate the imported reference.  The bottom line is that I want to delete the imported references since I don't want the references in the document.
Somewhere buried in the framemaker document are these two imported references and I want to remove them.  How do I do this?
Keep in mind that when I click on the hypertext imported reference, it switches to the original document, but I don't see anything that indicates an imported reference so there is nothing for me to delete.
    Thank you.

  • Excel issues with importing CSV or HTML table data from URL - Sharepoint? Office365?

    Greetings,
We have a client who is having issues importing CSV or HTML table data as one would do using Excel's Web Query import from a reporting application.  As the error message provided by Excel is unhelpful I'm reaching out to anyone who can help us begin to
troubleshoot problems affecting what is normal standard Excel functionality.  I'd attach the error screenshot, but I can't because my account is not verified....needless to say it says "Microsoft Excel cannot access  the file https://www.avantalytics.com/reporting_handler?func=wquery&format=csv&logid=XXXX&key=MD5
Where XXXX is a number and MD5 is an md5 code.  The symptoms stated in the error message are:
    - the file name or path does not exist
-The file is being used by another program
-The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
None of these symptoms are the case, naturally. The user encountered this with Excel2010, she was then upgraded to Excel2013 and is still experiencing the same issue. The output of this URL in a browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox) is CSV data for the affected
user, so it is not a network connectivity issue.  In our testing environment using both Excel2010 or 2013 this file is imported successfully, so we cannot replicate.  The main difference I can determine between our test environment and the end-user
is they have a Sharepoint installation and appear to have Office365 as well.
So,  my question might more appropriately be for Sharepoint or Office365 folks, but I can't be sure they're  a culprit.  Given this - does anyone have any knowledge of issues which might cause this with Sharepoint or Office365 integrated with
Excel and/or have suggestions for getting more information from Excel or Windows other than this error message?  I've added the domain name as a trusted publisher in IE as I thought that might be the issue, but that hasn't solved anything.  As you
can see its already https and there is no authentication or login - the md5 key is the authentication.  The certificate for the application endpoint is valid and registered via GoDaddy CA.
I'm at a loss and would love some suggestions on things to check/try.
    Thanks  -Ross

    Hi Ross,
    >> In our testing environment using both Excel 2010 and 2013 this file is imported successfully, so we cannot replicate.
I suspect it is caused by the difference of web server security settings.
KB: Error message when you use Web query to a secure Web page (HTTPS://) in Excel: "Unable to open"
    Hope it will help.

  • Problem with number field

    Hi,
I'm using ADO (Oracle Provider for OLEDB) to connect Oracle 9. If the type of any field in table is Number(9) and I open query with this field, all negative values are displayed as positive values. For example: If I write -1 value to this field and then post the dataSet (Delphi7 - TADOQuery) value is refreshed to 1. Real value in database is -1.
Could anybody help me with this problem?
    Regards Jan.

    Once again :)
I finally foud out that Deplhi does support (varDecimal), but delphi TCustomADODataSet (ADO recordSet wrapper) component incorrecltly treats such field type. It regards Decimal(<9,0) as integer (TIntegerField) but when it gets value from underlying ADO recordset it expects integer variant. So it's delphi problem. I hat to fix this problem in source code of this component.
    Regards Jan.

  • Working with Data Field (XMLTYTPE)

XMLTYPE is a new type of data element I have yet to work with and I am seeking some guidance as how best to approach
this in order to display the contents of these fields.
I have the XSD available to me which I believe I will have to query the contents withing this field and within a outter query.
This may not be an easy task to explain, but if some one is willing to take a stab at it, i'd greatly appreciate any advice given.

  • Over the past several weeks/months,multiple problems have emerged with this phone withich I have had for 2 years.

The first to go was visaable voicemail.  After 2 support calls, it still doesn't work.  This was an app I considered "critical" when I purchased the phone - I am out of the office the majority of time, and need quick repnse to my clients' calls.
Then, there seemed to be battery issues...wasn't holding a charge as long, takes loner to charge.
Text messaging- frequently get "can't send"... powering down/back on doesn't resolve the issue.  It sometimes send the text, but no pattern as to when or why.
SIM card error....message is that SIM card does not exist or is damaged and a message that I can continue to make emergency calls.  The error generally just disappears and I can continue calling, but lately, the error often causes the phone to power off.
Any suggestions or other than 2 hours support calls?
It's interesting that I'm having tese issues now that my contract has ended and I can get another phone ...with another 2 year contract.
    Thanks for any responses.
    Joyce

indoors and outdoors. my zip code is 07094. i know this issue is specific with this device only. if i hook up my galaxy s3 or bb device on same line with same sim card i have zero issues. I do get service when i am in and around my house but i drive a few blocks down it goes down to no service (circle with the line through it). most of the time i can't regain service by switching airplane mode on and off. Sometimes it works but i should not for any reason have to do this to use my phone.
Things i have done to troubleshoot.
    -a replacement phone
    -new sim card
    -hard reset
-activated other devices with this line and sim.

Generally I know that when We download to excel the fields adjust according to the data it has rather then with thier field size in SAP.

    Hi,
In case of standard objects, it would be better if you can share the details like report name, the way you tried downloading(From menu, tool bar etc). Also search if there is any OSS notes for that program.
    Thanks,
