Numbers of colors on the screen? Zen vs. Vision

I am thinking about getting either a Zen or Zen vision M player. I can see that the Zen has 6m colors on the screen and the Vision "only" has 262k colors can I see the difference?

Well, the difference IS significant when viewing pictures, as well as videos. It's like setting your TV color setting to 30% (Zen V M) and then to 00% (Zen).
The ZEN is a huge improvement, as I have both the Zen and ZVM

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

I was in the middle of using my iPhone 4 running on the latest iOS before iOS 6 and the screen went black but you can see it is still on because the color of the screen is blueish blackish like when your phone is turning off. Any suggestions?

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

Grey color cover the screen and can't use touch screen when trying to open the internet.

Pleas help, yesterday when I tried to open an website on my I pad 2 and there was a grey color cover the screen and I can't use touch screen, i still can see the internet is working in the back ground of the screen and the webpage was opend but I just can't make the grey color screen disappear. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, reset the iPad. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Last thing to try is quit the app and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit Safari by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Safari icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

I wonder about the colors in the program. When i work and later gonna print the text i have some problem. The color is not the same when im print it. One color on the screen and another when i print it why?

Sounds like you'll have to bring it in and pay to have it repaired or replaced.

Only 16 colors on the Screen

Hello all together
I am a new Mac user and I am very happy with it for a few weeks. Suddently, and I do not know what I have changed, the Screen only shows 16 colors (i guess).
When the Macmini starts from Power of all seems to be ok, till the Dock comes up. I can see, that the colors of the Dock are ok for a Second. Then, when the Desktop ist build, the Display changes to that problem-screen and there are only very rare colors. It is hard ore impossible to read grey text.
In system - settings - Disply the Resolution is set to 1280x1024, the colors to 16,7 Mio.
The Display ia a BenQ T904.

When I am streaming videos there is a dark green tint to the darker colors on the screen.

When I am streaming a video, there are dark green shades to some of the darker areas on the screen. For instance if someone in the video has dark hair, there are green tints to the hair. It almost looks like a color negative, but not quite. This has just started happening. I've had my mac book pro for about 2 months.

Could you please give us a picture of what is going on. This is a picture of what the top of Safari looks like when I go to the Help menu. I typed in the word cache and a number of options appeared below. Is this not happening for you?

Why can't my pics match color of the screen when printed?

Hi there.... Please help me with my frustation. I am using LR 2.6 and printing on a HP Photosmart B8550 on a MacBook laptop. I can't get the colors on the printer to match the screen. I have tried several profiles in the Color Management section of the Print Module (including Manage by Printer). The prints are all darker and not as vivid as the monitor shows. Although the levels in the histogram are OK, in order to get 'decent' color prints I have to increase the levels distorting the screen image.

Actually it is certainly possible to print correctly with Lightroom. Almost all printers will just work. If they don't, you are either not setting up the driver right with the correct settings for ink density and paper type and/or are not using the correct color profile, or you have a really badly written driver for your printer that does not conform to standards. You can hack your way around the latter if you know what you are doing and get reasonable prints, but a new printer might simply be in order. In its quest for the best print quality and 64-bit compatibility with the latest Apple and MS operating systems, the Lightroom folks had to dump some of the old ways of doing things. The same thing happened with PS CS4. This unfortunately leaves some older and consumer oriented printers at the wayside.
Now all this is excacerbated by some bugs in the printing systems of both Apple's OS and Microsoft's, where printer drivers will often simply refuse to give up color managing prints, resulting in dark weird colors. I doubt this is your problem though as it mostly manifests itself when you are using your own printer profiles for different papers instead of the standard ones.

My phone is unresponsive, like a black screen, except bright colors streak the screen. I tried plugging it into the computer but it says its an unknown device. What happened?

I recently plugged in my phone to the computer to download some music. It was resyncing and copying an app, while simultaneously I was on snapchat when suddenly a big wave of pink covered the bottom of the screen, then streaks of bright colors covered the whole screen. I cant turn it off because I use assistive touch, which is now covered by the streaks. Right now I'm waiting for my phone to turn off by itself, hopefully, because it was low battery when I plugged it in. Not only that, but when I plug it into the computer it says the device and port are 'unknown'. What happened? Is my phone broken? Please help me.

There are colors on the screen when I try to take a picture. Please help.

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in the right community but when I try to take a picture I look at the screen and it has a white line going through the top part of the screen. There are white spots all over the lens. There is blue and red parts in the camera. When you move the phone the colors move around. The camera is very blurry and is not focusing.

Sounds like software - Hope you have a recent back up already as with this issue do not really want to make a back up of the device now.
Will want to restore the iPhone and after restore 1st set up as New and test the camera after setting up as new.
If good then can try to restore from a back up. If still good, good. If notice same thing with camera after restoreing from a back up when that back up is no good, will have to erase all content and settings and continue with set up as new.

The colors on the screen of my iPod nano are all out of whack. What can I do to fix this?

It is a 3G and it shows rainbow colors. I've tried resetting it twice, but it stays the same. When I touch the screen, it shows original colors in some areas.

Sounds like a damaged or loose ribben cable or LCD screen. You'll need to have the iPod serviced either by Apple or a third party service center in order to resolve the issue.

The upper strip of the desktop shows in the same color as the screen color instead of being white.

When starting the iMac in the mornings, the upper strip of the desktop appears in the screen color instead of white. What could this be?

In System Preferences > Destop & Screensaver, deselect "Translucent menu bar."

Why is the print out darker than the colors on the screen?

This is happening in both Photoshop and Illustrator. My prints of my work come out darker and grayer than the bright colors on the monitor. I am on a Mac OSX 10.6.8.
When I adjust the Color Settings from the Edit drop-down in both programs to "Monitor Color" that still doesn't help. And a dialogue box tells me to fix the problem in Bridge.
Can I fix this problem in Bridge or is this more smoke n' mirrors?

Horizontal lines across the screen of my Vision:M, need he

I have had my player since Janauaryexcuse me, February and have not had a single issue until today. I turned it on, and there are thin, horizontal, white lines running across the screen. They seem to be most intense over the text at the top left hand corner and if there is any text or picture in the main portion of the screen. I have no idea what has caused and what, if anything, I can do to fix this. I haven't dropped it, had it near any magnetic or other electronic devices, left it in excessi've heat or cold or... anything. I've been babying this thing and now the screen is barely readable when on. Anyone know what's up with this Will I have to return this for repairs Message Edited by appetencexx on 09-26-200709:02 PM

I bought one on December 24th 2006, didnt drop it or abuse it, after 4 months the same thing happened, I was out of luck because the 3 month labour warranty was up.
I was told by creative to mail it to their office at my own expense blah blah blah. A quick google search informs me it is a common problem and creative pretends it's your fault the unit has become useless, people also had horrible experiences with creative tech support, so after spending upwards of $400 already to purchase the Vision M 60GB, I decided I wasted enough money and time with this company and I now use the unit as a fancy 60GB portable hard drive.
